Eric J. Adams is an award-winning screenwriter, producer, and author. He co-produced and wrote the script for the feature film "Supremacy," starring Academy Award-winner Mahershala Ali, and Danny Glover, Anson Mount and Joe Anderson.
With Harold Ramis as Executive Producer, Eric co-wrote and produced "Archie's Final Project" (aka My Suicide), winner of 21 major international film festival awards, including the Crystal Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Eric successfully produced "Rickshaw Girl," the first ever US-Bangladeshi co-production, directed by acclaimed South Asian Director, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury. Eric also wrote and directed "To Save A Child," a documentary on teen suicide, narrated by Mariel Hemingway, as well as a number of other short films.
As founder of Sleeperwave Films, Eric relies on his unique background to develop film projects exploring contemporary social issues with commercial potential. In recognition of his efforts, Eric was recently named a Djerassi Screenwriting Fellowship finalist by the San Francisco Film Society.
Eric is also the author of several books, including "Cosmic Fever" (Black Rose), and the suspense/thrillers Loss Of Innocence (Avon Books) and Plot Twist (St. Martin's Press). As a journalist, Eric has contributed to dozens of national and regional periodicals, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Wired, and Salon.
A graduate of Sonoma State University with a Masters of Arts in Film Studies, Eric also holds a Film and Television Industry Essentials Certificate from NYU/Tisch. He also sits on the board of directors of the non-profit International Center for Rights and Justice. When he is not producing or writing, Eric teaches writing at colleges, conferences and seminars nationwide.
