Exclusive: Malin Akerman (Watchmen) and Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight) are set to lead spy thriller Spymasters from writer-director Lance Kawas.

Bleiberg Entertainment has boarded worldwide rights to the film ahead of the Cannes market with filming due to begin in the U.S. at the end of the summer.

Described as a throwback to the “high-stakes erotic thrillers of the ’90s, coupled with modern action and intensity”, the film centers on a CIA operative assigned by his boss (White) to surveil and possibly eliminate a former lover (Akerman), a dangerous and enigmatic figure within the agency known for her psychological prowess and covert influence over the world’s elite.

Exclusive: Kate French, Ronnie Gene Blevins, Michael Sirow, Chris Mullinax and Aaron Quick Nelson have joined the cast of Come With Me.

The five actors will appear alongside lead Theo Rossi and supporting actor Ron Perlman.

Rossi stars as well as executive produces the film, which follows a working class man who runs into trouble at work after he begins to take seriously the spewings of an acerbic radio host Dalton Kirby(Perlman).

French joins the ensemble as Rossi’s wife, who becomes increasingly estranged from her husband. Ronnie Gene Blevins (Emancipation), plays his best friend, who unknowingly introduces Rossi’s character to a dark side of himself, while simultaneously facing emotional trials.

Two stars of Sons of Anarchy will soon be sharing the screen once again. The reunion comes over a decade after the end of their hit FX series.

Per Deadline, it's been revealed that Hellboy actor Ron Perlman has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller Come With Me. This follows the previous casting of Theo Rossi, one of Perlman's Sons of Anarchy co-stars, in the lead role. In Sons of Anarchy, Perlman Clarence "Clay" Morrow alongside Rossi as Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz. The actors co-starred on the show until Clay's death in 2013, a year before the series ended its seven-season run.

Exclusive: Ron Perlman has joined the cast of Aaron Harvey’s upcoming Come With Me thriller film.

The actor will portray Dalton Kirby, a sharp radio host who influences a working-class man (Theo Rossi) with his verbal rants of fear and doom. This marks a reunion for the pair of actors, who worked together on Sons of Anarchy.

In Come With Me, Rossi’s character falls under the influence of Kirby’s diatribes, which darken the world around him. He soon run into trouble at work as a result of absorbing Kirbey’s acerbic radio rhetoric.

Come With Me recently wrapped production in Gulfport, Biloxi and Pass Christian, Mississippi. Harvey directs from a script he cowrote with Jonathan Croom. The film is also produced by Demetrius Stear, Colin Bates, Kevin Greene, and Nicholas Carmona.

Executive producers include Ryan Francis, Lance Kawas, Fadi Assaf, Michael Sirow and Javier C. Ortiz.

Exclusive: The Penguin star Theo Rossi has joined Aaron Harvey’s Come With Me.

Rossi, who appeared in the second episode of Max’s The Penguin recently will star in as well as executive produce the film, in which a working-class man finds trouble at his job and becomes influenced by a radio host who spews rhetoric.

“I’m a believer in the power of art and how it can stir emotions and spark conversations. From the moment I read Come With Me, I knew this story had to be told,” Rossi tells Deadline. “I think it’s going to lead to a much-needed discussion on how we are impacted by the information we consume.”

UFC fighter Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone stars in the upcoming zombie film Project Legion, which is set to receive a theatrical release on October 7th, with an Apple TV release following just four days later on October 11th. With those dates just a few weeks away, a trailer for Project Legion has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.

Lance Kawas (Good Thief) directed Project Legion from a screenplay he crafted with John Sullivan, Michael Pizzimenti, and James Raptoplous. Apparently they put together quite an epic, because Apple has the movie listed with a running time of 2 hours and 38 minutes. The story told over those 158 minutes has the following synopsis:

A few days after the movie began last month the project changed director from Lance Kawas to Asif Akbar. The production tells us this was down to creative differences. In Skeletons In The Closet, haunted by a malevolent spirit since childhood, a desperate mother allows herself to become possessed in order to save the life of her terminally ill daughter. Script is by Koji Steven Sakai and Joshua A. Cohen. The original story comes from Al Bravo. Producers are Bravo, Asif Akbar, Sakai, Colin Bates, Stan Erdreich and Monica R. Cooper. Also starring are Clifton Powell (Ray) and Valery M. Ortiz (2 Minutes of Fame). The film is about the spirit of La Llorona granting a costly wish to the parents of a child by curing her of cancer. In saving the child, the mother of the child suffers the consequences by losing her beloved husband and becoming more evil until she pledges her allegiance to La Llorona. The father (Howard) spirals down the path of self-destruction after borrowing hard money from a ruthless mobster to pay the hospital bills for his daughter. Good Thief is a Detroit-set crime noir thriller about two small-time crooks, Danyy and Johnny who, after their latest heist goes wrong, decide to rob a pawn brokers. Teaming up with a getaway driver Carl the trio manage to successfully pull off the heist, robbing Abe of his precious, and valuable, baseball card collection. There’s just one catch. Exclusive: Shoreline Entertainment has picked up world sales rights at the Efm to the crime-thriller starring Jonathan Bennett, Nikki Shah and James Russo.

Lance Kawas directed the story of a woman who partners with a police officer to avenge her sister’s death after she is seduced by a sex trafficker.

Melody Djavadi of Shoreline negotiated the deal for Paid In Full with executive producer Nipa Shah.

Restitution is an indie neo-noir thriller that is set in Detroit, Michigan where anything can happen. And that anything is Tom Arnold playing an ex-Marine sharpshooter. As well, the protagonist gets to kill two thugs while meandering around the crime scene. Should someone arrest him? Also, there are dubious detectives, a damsel in distress and a phony corporation who likes to deal in nose candy rather than legit' products. All of these plot elements create for a very enjoyable time in a neo-noir world.
