Ari Aster’s feature directorial debut Hereditary is a psychological horror story that takes the audience on a wild and terrifying ride along with the Graham family. Ari Aster's filmmaking career began with short films in the late 2000s and became widely known thanks to his 2011 short film The Strange Thing About the Johnsons. After a couple more short films, Aster made his feature-length directorial debut in 2018 with Hereditary, also written by him.
Hereditary follows the Graham family, who are grieving the death of their secretive grandmother. This begins to reveal a series of disturbing family secrets, as well as unleashing a series of sinister occurrences, including one more family tragedy. The Grahams soon learn they are no longer safe and are being watched, but the reasons behind all that are beyond what they could have ever imagined. Hereditary is not only very well-written and directed, but it also has...

King Paimon, the demonic source of the horror that befalls the family in Hereditary, has a basis in reality. Hereditary, the first feature-length film from director Ari Aster, is a shocking, terrifying, and upsetting horror movie about grief, terrible mistakes, and dark family secrets. After 16-year-old Peter Graham (Alex Wolff) makes a life-changing mistake, his already tenuous relationship with his mother Annie (Toni Collette) becomes irreparably fractured. Compounding this family tragedy is the reveal that something sinister has been shadowing the Grahams for longer than anyone could have suspected.
Hereditary is an incredibly scary movie, and it’s unsettling from the opening where Annie’s miniature models become the lens through which scenes start. The real-life terror at the front half of the movie would be scary enough on its own, but it’s the introduction of King Paimon that powers Hereditary through a haunting and unforgettable finale. There are...

The best Theo James movies and TV shows feature a mix of everything from coming-of-age dramas to sci-fi dystopian thrillers. While he turned 40 in 2024, Theo James is still looked at as a Hollywood newcomer. That is likely because he didn’t earn his first major mainstream acceptance until he starred in The Divergent Series around his 30th birthday. Those movies made him a star, and he has since begun developing a strong mix of roles.
The Divergent Series wasn’t Theo James’ first main Hollywood part though, as he also took on the major supporting role of David in Underworld: Awakening and even followed that up with the next movie in the series four years later. However, since Divergent, he has found his place as both a voice actor in shows like Castlevania and X-Men ’97 and more dramatic live-action roles in The Gentlemen and The White Lotus.

Being one of the most notable burgeoning directors of the modern era, Yorgos Lanthimos' films have seen plenty of critical acclaim in recent years. With instant hits such as Poor Things, The Lobster, and The Favorite, Lanthimos has rocketed to stardom with his notable style of black comedy, often surrounding topics that feel almost dystopian in nature. His most recent film Kinds of Kindness, was released in June of this year and included stars such as Emma Stone, Hunter Schaffer, and Willem Dafoe.
Unique both in storytelling and presentation, Lanthimos' films are often comedic in nature, with a certain uncanny and uncomfortable element to them. The actors he chooses for these projects are often known for their experience in these sorts of films, indie or otherwise, taken from a wide variety of different genres. Because of this, it is surprising that he hasn't worked with the actors listed below, and...

Premiere Entertainment has acquired the international rights to family faith-based film “The Girl Who Believes in Miracles” after the film’s solid performance at the U.S. box office over Easter.
The Oklahoma-shot feature was written and directed by “Hannah Montana” co-creator Richard Correll and stars Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (“The Mighty Aphrodite”); Austyn Johnson (“The Greatest Showman”) and celebrated voice actor Pete Coyote (“The Roosevelts: An Intimate History”).
The feature, co-written by G.M. Mercier, focuses on a child called Sara (Johnson) who achieves overnight fame when her prayers appear to start healing local townsfolk.
These miracles come at a cost however, as the toll of fame and the girl’s deteriorating physical condition force those close to her to take action.
Produced by Trailmaker Productions and Gerson Productions in association with film investors Stephen Hays and Peter Graham’s 120dB Films, the title was released via Atlas Distribution to a total of 1,333 U.

In Thursday’s episode of Will & Grace, the NBC series clumsily attempted to tackle biphobic beliefs and yet stumbled throughout, relying on lazy jokes and tired stereotypes.
In “Bi-Plane,” Grace’s niece Fiona (played by the late Debbie Reynolds’ granddaughter, Billie Lourd) visits her aunt and brings along Trevor (Peter Graham), a flamboyant 22-year-old with a love for musicals. Will and Grace both quickly assume that Trevor is the gay Bff — a miniature mirror image of the two of them. They’re shocked when Fiona reveals that Trevor is her boyfriend, and that he’s bisexual.
