Exclusive: Premiere Entertainment Group has acquired international rights to the Shea Whigham (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning) and Carrie Coon (The Gilded Age) crime thriller Lake George.
Premiere will launch international sales this week at the European Film Market.
The neo-noir road movie follows an ex-con who is coerced by mobsters into executing a hit on a woman, but instead, the two misfits hatch a plan to steal money from the people who want her dead. Max Casella and Glenn Fleshler round out the lead cast.
Jeffrey Reiner directed the film from his original screenplay. Reiner also produced alongside Joey Oglesby, Cleta Ellington, and Bernie Stern. Michael Hillman and Brent Wilson served as executive producers.
The film was released in limited theaters and on digital in the U.S. on December 6 via Magnet Releasing, the genre arm of Magnolia Pictures, after its premiere at Tribeca.

The trailer has been released for Lake George. Lake George is a crime thriller about two people who end up on a road trip together, despite one of them having more nefarious intentions. The film features a leading cast including Shea Whigham, Carrie Coon, Max Casella, Ashley Fink, Glenn Fleshler, Troy Metcalf, Joey Oglesby, and Derk Phillips.
