Miracle Valley trailer: horror film directed by The Room’s Greg Sestero comes to Tubi
Image
I’ll always primarily think of Greg Sestero as the young Andre Toulon from Full Moon‘s 1999 release Retro Puppet Master, but for many movie fans he is best known for playing the role of Mark in director Tommy Wiseau’s “disasterpiece” The Room. After the experience of working on The Room, Sestero wrote a book about the making of the film that was called The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room, the Greatest Bad Movie Ever Made, which served as the basis for the movie The Disaster Artist. Now Sestero has made his feature directorial debut with the horror film Miracle Valley, and Deadline reports that the film is going to be released through the Tubi streaming service on September 16th. With that date just three days away, check out the trailer for Miracle Valley in the embed above to see whether or not this looks like something...

US Briefs: 'Tomb Raider' reboot set for March 2018
Alicia Vikander
Tomb Raider, the video game-based franchise re-boot to star Alicia Vikander (pictured), has been set for a March 16, 2018 release in the US.

Norway’s Roar Uthaug will direct the Warner Bros/MGM film, with Graham King producing for his GK Films.

Angelina Jolie starred in two previous Tomb Raider films for Paramount, the most recent of which, 2003’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life, took $65.7m in North America and $90.9m internationally.

Warner has also set an April 21, 2017 release date for Katherine Heigl thriller Unforgettable.

• Kiefer Sutherland is reportedly close to signing to join Ellen Page, Diego Luna and Nina Dobrev in the cast of Sony’s remake of Flatliners, which starts shooting this week in Toronto with Niels Arden Oplev directing. Sutherland starred with Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon in the original 1990 sci-fi horror outing, directed by [link...

Movie Trailer: Hectic Knife
Move over Paul Kersey and Travis Bickle — there’s a new vigilante in town and he goes by the name Hectic Knife. Watch the virulently violent trailer above. Also, play it loud — i.e. as long as you’re not at work and there are no small children around.

This new gonzo splatter-ific flick comes courtesy of collaborators Greg DeLiso and Peter Litvin. Both dudes co-wrote the film while DeLiso served as director, editor and cinematographer; and Litvin acted as producer, composed the score and stars as the eponymous anti-hero.

(Special underground note: DeLiso previously edited Jeff Krulik’s hit underground documentary Heavy Metal Picnic.)

While the film is fully complete, the filmmakers are currently raising funds on IndieGoGo to launch a special “interactive” midnight movie tour around the country, which sounds totally fun, so consider kicking in a few bucks. Please visit the Hectic Knife fundraising page for more details.
