Michael is a Leeds-based award-winning screenwriter, Director and producer. His screenplay 'Beyond the Veil' was a semi-finalist for the Nicholl Fellowship 2021 and is being produced and packaged by Chris Ufland and Tag Mendillo.
Having grown up in an antiquated working-class town, Michael uses that experience to drive his stories and characters. Primarily writing in the horror genre, his features and TV scripts focus on trust, acceptance, and loss. He tells stories with real meaning and captures characters in an exquisite and exceptional way, with a clear understanding of the backbone of any narrative. Michael's ethos is to champion northern voices either through his writing or his film company 'Black Hole Films'.
