In Dragon Ball, fusion is a significant aspect that has enriched the franchise. The process merges two separate beings into one far more powerful being, bringing fan-favorite characters like Gotenks, Vegito, and Gogeta to life. There are six ways to fuse in the Dragon Ball franchise, but only two are canon. Almost every Dragon Ball series has a fusion, making it a franchise staple. Even non-canon entries have had a version of fusion.
The non-canon material of Dragon Ball, including Dragon Ball Gt, Dragon Ball Legends, and Dragon Ball Fusions, has given birth to some of the most unique and intriguing fusions. Some of the strongest fusions have been created in this material, but to showcase some unique fusions, these ten are the strongest shown in the entire franchise.

When looking their best, no other male character in Dragon Ball pulls it off like Trunks. Vegeta and Bulma's son from the future knows how to dress for every occasion — never trading, looking good for fighting good. Compared to some of his counterparts in the Dragon Ball franchise, like Gohan or Goten, Trunks knows how to put himself together.
As one of the more popular fan characters in Dragon Ball, Trunks has had a wide range of forms, outfits, and appearances. Each of these has drastically changed his vibe. Usually, for the better, unless one counts Dragon Ball Gt. From every appearance in the franchise, these are the best Trunks has ever looked in Dragon Ball.

Dragon Ball ZEpisode 119 introduced audiences to Future Trunks, the "Mysterious Youth," who quickly became a fan favorite thanks to his design, sudden Super Saiyan transformation, and defeat of Mecha Frieza and King Cold. In one slice, Frieza is split into two, and King Cold is evaporated by Trunks.
The main villain of the previous arc, who made himself known as the strongest being in the universe, was taken out by a mysterious new ally to the Z-Fighters. That said, this only happened in one timeline. In Future Trunks' world, he obviously wasn't around to stop Mecha Frieza or Kind Cold himself. Instead, another Z-Fighters had to rise up to the challenge and save the world from the Frost Demons – and that would be none other than Son Goku.

Dragon Ball Super Chapter 104 is a well-welcomed one-shot nearly one year after the series' hiatus following the late, great Akira Toriyama's passing. While many fans wanted to see Goku and Vegeta finally face off against Black Frieza, the Dragon Ball Super manga instead focuses on Goten and Trunk's origin stories as Saiyamen X-1 and X-2.
Inspired by the heroic actions of Clean God (a superhero like the Great Saiyaman), Trunks, and Goten become Saiyamen X-1 and X-2, fighting crime and keeping their bodies fit and trained for battle. The reveal of who the heroic Clean God is left many excited and reassured that this Z-Fighter hasn't stopped training, despite what other material may suggest. Gohan's dedication to training is a testament to his character development and his commitment to protecting Earth.

Toward the end of Dragon Ball Z, Akira Toriyama introduces a comical new side character called "Captain Chicken" -- a blatant parody of the iconic Marvel superhero, Captain America. 30 years after his initial creation, Captain Chicken has received a special tribute illustration by official Dragon Ball Super artist Toyotarou.
Per Dragon Ball's official site, Toyotarou's new Captain Chicken artwork is part of a monthly series called "Toyotarou Tries to Draw" -- a series that features new artistic takes on characters from Dragon Ball and other Akira Toriyama works. As detailed on Db's site, Captain Chicken made his series debut during the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai (World Martial Arts Tournament), which was "held 10 years after the battle with Majin Buu." Toyotarou's drawing reflects his cocky personality, as he is shown flexing his arms while wearing a cheeky grin. Cbr readers can check it out below.

The English dub of Dragon Ball Daima is now available on Crunchyroll. Fans hoping for newfound clarity regarding controversial retcons in the Japanese version of Daima will be disappointed to hear the English version continues the invalidation of Dragon Ball Super.
As of Jan. 10, 2025, the English dub of Dragon Ball Daima will premiere every Friday with one new episode per week. The first episode, "Conspiracy," sets up Goku’s latest adventure by having King Gomah of the Demon Realm use the Earth’s Dragon Balls to wish everyone involved with the Majin Buu incident back into children. Before the wish, Goku and friends celebrate Trunk’s ninth birthday and the restoration of Earth. The controversial moment involving the Supreme Kai and Kibito occurred in the Japanese broadcast version.

In the English dub of Daima Episode 1, the Z-warriors and friends are seen celebrating Trunk’s ninth birthday. In a crowded cinematic world, The Trunk is a unique psychological thriller and romance that expertly weaves complicated plots with profound emotional undercurrents. Adapted from Kim Ryeo-ryeong’s novel, this Netflix series follows the life of Han Jeong-won, a troubled music producer played by Gong Yoo, who is always captivating.
Set against a backdrop of lavish yet unsettling surroundings, the story digs into the complexities of a prearranged marriage planned by Jeong-won’s manipulative ex-wife, Seo-yeon. This scenario not only catalyzes character development but also reflects bigger societal themes such as love, trauma, and the commodification of relationships.
The Trunk expertly navigates the genres of psychological thriller and romance, creating a tone alternating between gripping tension and sweet intimacy. The series’ visual storytelling conveys the essence of psychological uneasiness, while its nonlinear narrative structure echoes the characters’ shattered lives. This method encourages viewers to piece together the fractured histories and motives,...

Future Trunks is one of Dragon Ball Z's most fascinating characters because his arrival totally transforms fans' understanding of the Dragon Ball universe. Much like how the arrival of Raditz introduced the idea of aliens and space travel to Dragon Ball's story, the arrival of Future Trunks introduced the concept of time travel, showing that in the world of Dragon Ball, time and history could be manipulated and changed by those who had the means to do so, a detail that opened up a whole new world of adventures for Goku and his friends. However, Dragon Ball has always played fast and loose with its time travel rules, often leaving fans wondering just how different each timeline is.
Future Trunks' timeline (referred to as History 2 in most Daizenshuu guidebooks) is the same as the core timeline until Age 764. In Future Trunk's timeline, Goku uses Instant Transmission to head back to Earth,...

The Trunk marks Gong Yoos return to screen three years after The Silent Sea, and I predict it to be one of the best K-dramas of 2024. The three-year wait for Gong Yoo to star or at least appear in another major K-drama will be worth it as the actor will be in not only one but two shows before the year ends. Gong Yoo will star in The Trunk and Squid Game 2, which will be released a month from each other on November 29 and December 26, respectively.
Squid Game season 2 will close a very strong year for Netflix when it comes to K-dramas. From original webseries such as Parasyte: The Grey, Sweet Home 3, and The Frog to licensed shows such as Queen of Tears and Love Next Door, some of the best K-dramas of 2024 were available on Netflix. Dragon Ball is a series known for its alternate timelines, all thanks to the introduction of Future Trunks in the Android Saga of the series. When the iconic swordsman with lavender hair emerged, he brought the idea of a multiverse possible through time travel. Future Trunks reveals that in three years, all of the Z-Fighters, minus Gohan, are killed by two Androids; Trunks went back in time to give them the means to defend themselves and to save Goku from the heart virus. Trunk's decision creates an alternate timeline that will remain a series staple, as in Dragon Ball, engaging in time travel creates a radically different timeline.
These alternate timelines are different from the eventual multiverse that was brought up in Dragon Ball Super, as rather than being different worlds, these alternate timelines are different histories. Since their formation in the franchise, the concept of alternate timelines has...

Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball has featured many eccentric partnerships that were unexpected, but the one that fans believe to be the most confusing was Gohan and Future Trunks. In the series’ future, where the world is ruined by Androids, Future Gohan is Future Trunks’ mentor. In fact, he is the only person Future Trunks relied on, and they have a great relationship.

However, this great relationship is doubted by many fans to this day because it was never really focused on when Future Trunks came to the present and met Gohan. He only revealed that he was trained by Future Gohan, and after that, he didn’t even have a proper interaction with the present Gohan. This seemed a little odd, considering their bond.
This relationship had a lot of potential, and Akira Toriyama could have explored it even more in the present timeline.

In Dragon Ball Daima, Goku and his friends face a new threat thanks to Gomah and the Demon Realm. Gomah uses the Earth Dragon Balls to turn the Z-Fighters into first-graders, so the Majin and his allies can have a chance against them if they ever fight. Daima Episode 2, "Glorio," shows that the Z-Fighters aren't the only ones who were transformed into kids. The wish affected the likes of Master Roshi and Puar, as well.
Fan-favorite Gohan, however, is strangely absent from all these events. During Trunks' birthday party, Goku claims that Gohan is studying. Still, even when the characters turn into kids, there's no mention of contacting Gohan or even a glimpse into what Gohan is experiencing and whether the wish affected him at all. This lack of Gohan has left fans wondering when the famous half-Saiyan will appear.

Future Trunks is the famous warrior from the future in Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball. When he first emerged in the year 1991 as part of the original Dragon Ball Z series, specifically in the 119th episode titled "I Will Defeat Freeza The Mysterious Boy Awaiting Goku," fans were entranced by the character's design, cool sword, and his ability to go Super Saiyan and dispatch the previous arc's villain Frieza with ease.
Trunks had left his legacy from his first appearance. Still, fans fell in love with the character for various reasons outside his looks and power. Trunk's history as a warrior from the future to change the past, his determination to survive in a world entirely of strife, and the hope he represents for not only the future timeline but also the present. Dragon Ball's eccentric genius Bulma gets new life thanks to a newly-revealed illustration from the mid-'80s, starring two of franchise creator Akira Toriyama's biggest passions: adventure and mech design.
A nearly 40-year-old Goku and Bulma color illustration resurfaced as part of the Dragon Ball official website's ongoing Toriyama Archives series, revealing old and rare Toriyama art for just 24 hours before the images are returned to the vault. Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball franchise is a certified shonen classic, effortlessly combining laugh-out-loud humor with thrilling action scenes, compelling story arcs and unforgettable characters. However, a daring anime enthusiast has broken new ground for the franchise through fan art that merges the world of Dragon Ball with that of Katsuhiro Otomo's 1988 sci-fi masterpiece, Akira.
A talented fan artist who goes by Nico (or @nicocolors) on X (formerly Twitter) recently unveiled concept art modeled after Akira's original film poster. The original image depicts central protagonist Shotaro Kaneda as he approaches his iconic motorcycle. However, when all hope was lost, Goku was able to unlock a new power that not only helped him defeat Frieza but also many other villains who came after him. Geezer Butler has revealed that he and Ozzy Osbourne are in agreement on playing one final Black Sabbath concert. The bassist also said that he has been in touch with Osbourne almost every day, following a long period of non-communication.
Butler opened up about the possibility of Sabbath reuniting for a final concert in a new interview with SiriusXM’s Eddie Trunk.
“Of course there’s an interest [on my part to do it], but there’s a big ‘but’ — you’d have to speak to Bill [Ward] about it,” Butler said [as transcribed by Blabbermouth], referencing the founding Sabbath drummer, who didn’t partake in the band’s final 2016/2017 concerts. “Everybody wants to do it [but I don’t know if he is] capable [of pulling it off].”
Osbourne has said that he hopes to play one more show with Black Sabbath’s original lineup. Butler also shares that sentiment.
“Ozzy was hoping to finish it all off next year back in Aston, at the Aston Villa [football stadium in Birmingham],” Butler said. “I’m definitely up for it,...

Netflix’s newest action comedy, Obliterated, from the Cobra Kai creating trio of Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald and Hayden Schlossberg, co-stars Nick Zano, Shelley Hennig and Terrence Terrell as part of an elite special forces team who wake up with a massive hangover and are tasked with saving Las Vegas from a nuclear threat.
In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, the trio (separately; their answers are combined) reveal what it was like behind the scenes of the thrill-ride adventure series, withstanding Navy Seal training in the sweltering 120-degree Albuquerque heat, doing their own high-octane stunts, and how filming on the Las Vegas Strip — among real vacationers, tourists and pedestrians alike — added an element of authenticity to the scenes.

What attracted each of you to this role?
Shelley Hennig: At the time, I was in the middle of this really intense drama, and I felt like the next project I wanted to do was a comedy.

Plot: Obliterated is a high octane action-comedy from the creators of Cobra Kai that tells the story of an elite special forces team who thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their celebratory party, filled with booze, drugs and sex, the team discovers that the bomb they deactivated was a fake. The now intoxicated team has to fight through their impairments, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world.
Review: When an elite team of special forces, commandos, and spies team up to save the day, that is usually the end of the story. The credits typically roll on a happy ending once the bad guy is killed and the world is saved. The new series Obliterated looks at what happens when that celebration is premature in a blend of the team action of The A-Team with the drug and alcohol-fueled excess of The Hangover.

Especially in its early installments, 24 used to build in a midseason pause. Jack Bauer would achieve what he thought was his goal — securing the bomb, identifying the conspiratorial kingpin, etc. — and then, after enough time to take a breath but not enough time to use the bathroom, he would discover a Bigger bomb or realize that behind the apparently Big Bad was a Bigger Bad. Gasp!
But what if, instead of merely taking that breath, Jack Bauer had celebrated securing yet another victory for America by doing the keg stand to end all keg stands or dropping a tab of acid — and only then figured out that he still had half a day’s worth of torture, cliffhangers and mountain lions in store?
That — or perhaps just “It’s The Hangover as a ’90s action movie!” — is the hook for Netflix’s new series Obliterated, from the Cobra Kai trio of Jon Hurwitz,...

Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming action comedy Obliterated, which hails from the creators of megahit Cobra Kai.
The wild and fast-paced trailer is a two-minute tease that asks what it would be like if 24 and The Hangover crossed over. Starring Nick Zano and Shelley Hennig, the eight-episode series follows an elite special forces team after they believe they’ve saved the world from a nuclear bomb threat.
But upon waking up — and with a nasty hangover, no less — the team receives a call that the threat they neutralized was a fake and they have only hours to find and thwart the real one. The problem is, much of the team hasn’t quite sobered up, meaning they must fight through a wall of bad guys, their own personal issues and a few substance impairments to locate the real bomb and save the day.

Zz Top were never really a ballad band. Think “La Grange,” “Tush,” and “Legs.” But for 1986’s Afterburner they tried their hand at a power ballad with “Rough Boy” — this was the Eighties after all. Earlier this week in Nashville, Keith Urban put his own spin on “Rough Boy” at a special event honoring Zz Top’s Billy Gibbons.
Urban was in attendance for the annual BMI Troubadour dinner, an industry event held each September by the performing-rights org to salute a select artist as its “Troubadour.” Last year’s went to Lucinda Williams,...

Anime is full of over-the-top combat and larger-than-life battles. That type of thing has basically become common place in today's landscape of Japanese animation. However, even among a saturated landscape, some anime fights are so iconic that they stand out as pretty much required viewing for any fan of anime.
In some cases, having a broader understanding of the context of the conflict can add to the enjoyment of an iconic anime fight. It’s not necessarily required though as anime's greatest battles can often be enjoyed simply for their surface-level entertainment value alone. Whether due to the amazing animation and fight choreography, or just simply because the characters are historic in their own right, there are some fights that every anime fan just has to see at least once.

Ace Frehley recently gave Paul Stanley a week to apologize for a disparaging comment, but apparently all he got back from the Kiss singer-guitarist was a good old-fashioned “Fuck you!”
To quickly recap, last month Stanley told Howard Stern that a reunion with original Kiss members Frehley and Peter Criss would sound like “Piss.” Frehley, appearing on Eddie Trunk’s SiriusXM show last week, threatened to spill “dirt” on Stanley and Gene Simmons if he didn’t get an apology within seven days.
As promised, Frehley returned to Trunk’s show today (April 5th), a week later, with an update. When asked by Trunk if Stanley responded, Frehley said, “Yes, he did, not long after the show was over. I was blindsided by the phone call. … But instead of an apology, I got a five-second phone call which said, ‘Fuck you, Ace. I’m not going to apologize,’ and hung up.

Ace Frehley has blasted back at Paul Stanley after the latter insinuated that a Kiss reunion with the guitarist and drummer Peter Criss would sound like “Piss.”
In a new interview with SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk, the former Kiss axeman gave Stanley an ultimatum: If he doesn’t receive a formal apology within seven days, he’s going to uncover dirt on Stanley and Gene Simmons publicly.
Frehley is referring to inflammatory remarks made by Stanley during a recent appearance on The Howard Stern Show when Stern asked why Kiss didn’t perform at their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2014.
“They were demanding, quite honestly, that we play with the two original guys, Peter and Ace, and at this point, that would be demeaning to the band, and also would give some people confusion,” Stanley said. “‘Cause if you saw people onstage who looked like Kiss but sounded like that,...

Warning: Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super chapter 90Trunks finally got a potential new love interest to counter his unsettling infatuation with Mai, but it's unfortunately unlikely that Dragon Ball Super will explore this prospective relationship any time soon.
Readers are given hope for a normal romance when Goten's classmate Fyler asks him to see if Trunks, who's one year ahead of them, could invite her to a dance that is taking place that weekend in Dragon Ball Super chapter 90 by story writer Akira Toriyama and artist Toyotarou. While Dragon Ball has never been known for its romance, Super's latest is bound to cause a stir for all the wrong reasons.

If you were a fan of Thing Trunk’s 2018 dungeon crawler Book of Demons (check out our review here), they’re back! Teaming up with Skystone Games, they’ve announced Hellcard, a cooperative roguelike deck builder that’s aiming for a 2023 release on PC via Steam.
Set in the same universe as Book of Demons, Hellcard sees you and up to three players descend into papercraft-styled dungeons to take on the evil hordes and defeat the Archdemon. Players can also go solo and descend into the dungeons on their own, recruiting computer-controlled companions along the way.
What separates Hellcard from other card games is that in the battles, monster placement actually matters and can be used to your advantage (if you’re up to the strategic challenge). Your team of heroes has its own strengths and weaknesses, each with an ever-growing deck of abilities and equipment to use on the battlefield.

With 21 canon variations of Super Saiyan now existing, here is a breakdown of all Super Saiyan forms in Dragon Ball. The Super Saiyan transformation was first introduced in the Namek saga as a payoff to a long-running arc about the potential of the Saiyan race, with Goku becoming, at the time, the Legendary Super Saiyan — the strongest warrior in the universe. Since then, Super Saiyans have become one of the most iconic parts of the Dragon Ball franchise. In addition to characters other than Goku unlocking new levels of Super Saiyan, Super Saiyans like Vegeta and Trunk would go on to evolve into new Super Saiyan forms in nearly every single story following Goku's ascension in Dragon Ball Z.
A lot has been done with the Super Saiyan concept since its initial appearance, and there is now a total of 21 different Super Saiyan forms in the Dragon Ball franchise. It...
