In an astounding moment of tension with no release, the sound was cut at a Journey concert on Friday night right before the drop of “Don’t Stop Believin’,” as the band was forced to cancel the remainder of the show due to an electrical fire.

Videos of the moment have been uploaded online, showing frontman Arnel Pineda singing the song’s iconic opening lines to an excited crowd at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo hosted at Houston’s Nrg Stadium. It’s always exciting to see major actors try their hand at horror. Both John Lithgow and Geoffrey Rush have never shied away from it, and always find interesting roles when they do take part. That’s no different here as The Rule of Jenny Pen provides the two thespians an absolute smorgasbord to play with. They get to play nemesis and are really able to milk each of their interactions. Netflix has announced that the upcoming second season of The Sandman will be its last.

Showrunner Allan Heinberg shared the following statement along with the first official season 2 poster art.

“The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream’s story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough story for one more season. We are extremely grateful to Netflix for bringing the team all back together and giving us the time and resources to make a faithful adaptation in a way that we hope will surprise and delight the comics’ loyal readers as well as fans of our show.”

This news comes shortly after the publication of a New York Magazine piece outlining - in disturbing detail - new allegations of sexual assault made against The Sandman creator and series EP Neil Gaiman.

A history reconstructed by director Elegance Bratton (“The Inspection”) through the memories of the trailblazers who birthed it at underground clubs in racially segregated and violent Chicago, this is the story of how Black, brown and queer kids came up with a unique rhythm that people still dance to today. After watching this entertaining and nostalgic documentary, audiences’ most likely recourse may be to find the nearest club and spend the rest of their night dancing.

The first few minutes of “Move Ya Body: The Birth of House” dynamically set the stage for this revolution: Voiceover describes music whose beat “can be heard blocks away,” while the images show Chicago’s denizens rioting against the police and dancing all night. The attempt to combine an Mmo with a retro post-apocalypse setting was not unique to Fallout 76. Interplay, Fallout‘s original owner, had tried it years earlier. In reality, this came after Bethesda had acquired the series’ rights, but the two businesses reached a deal that would eventually result in a lawsuit, an out-of-court settlement, and Fallout Online‘s cancellation.

However, the idea dates back much further. Brian Fargo, the founder of Interplay, had been considering Fallout since the late 1990s, but Bethesda bought it in 2007. Black Isle Studios founder Feargus Urquhart, who is currently CEO of Obsidian, turned down his pitch. It didn’t want Fallout to be an Mmo and co-creator Tim Cain shared the sentiment as well. However, he was a bit concerned when the franchise took a different turn.

The McU's take on the Mutants will inevitably be compared to those who appeared in 20th Century Fox's long-running X-Men film series. Some portrayals, like Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, will be tough acts to follow, but the MCU also has the chance to improve characters who were let down by their previous live-action appearances. One such character is Juggernaut, who has appeared in a total of three films so far. He made his big-screen debut in X-Men: The Last Stand, in which he was portrayed by British actor Vinnie Jones.

Mufasa: The Lion King serves as both a prequel and a sequel to the Lion King franchise, mixing strands of nostalgia and innovation. This part, directed by Barry Jenkins (renowned for his nuanced storytelling) and written by Jeff Nathanson, attempts to deconstruct the mythology around one of cinema’s most legendary individuals.

Set in the Pride Lands, the film delves into themes of identity, legacy, and the muddy seas of royal claim. Mufasa is portrayed as a plucky underdog rather than a predestined king, drawing parallels with historical individuals who challenged entrenched power. This portrayal addresses societal concerns such as nepotism and the complexities of familial devotion.

Mufasa and Taka’s sibling rivalry (later Scar) echoes the Cain and Abel narrative, suggesting that envy can lead to tragic consequences. However, the framing method, which features Rafiki repeating Mufasa’s story, adds a metatextual layer by honoring storytelling traditions that span generations.

HBO is a network that has pioneered television for decades. Home to such major hits as Game of Thrones, The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, Veep, and many more, HBO has been at the forefront of creating amazing television for audiences all over the world.

However, sometimes, HBO misses out on big opportunities to create even more legendary television. And while not every pitch HBO hears is immediately perfect for them, in hindsight, they might realize that they've missed out on creating some of the biggest television shows of all time.

Usually, when comic book characters get superpowers, they don't have to reckon with where those powers came from, but that's not the case for Marvel's Juggernaut. The Juggernaut has been in tons of fights, but his next battle will be against the main source of his power: the crimson god Cyttorak.

Warning: Spoilers for Batgirl #1!DC just brought an abandoned Batgirl codename back in an exciting way, in the debut issue of the character's new solo series. Cassandra Cain can be viewed as Batman's greatest success and as Batgirl, Batman's one true successor. However, fans often forget that she wasn't always Batgirl. Very briefly, she went under the name Orphan, but because the name never caught on with readers, Cass reverted to Batgirl.

Batgirl #1 written by Tate Brombal, with art by Takeshi Miyazawa takes a moment to pay homage to Cass' time as Orphan and what that part of her identity means to her.

Whether readers remember that part of the character's early history as a DC hero or not, it's still something that happened and, thus, plays a pivotal part into who Batgirl is today. In other words, if Batgirl can respect her past as Orphan, so should fans.

Even among Marvel's most powerful characters, few can match the strength of Juggernaut or the Red Hulk. The heights of that strength have led a few fans to wonder exactly what would happen if the two beings fought, and while they never have, there's a bit of evidence to suggest who would win.

Unfortunately, Red Hulk and Cain Marko's Juggernaut have never fought in the comics, though Red Hulk has fought the Colossus' Juggernaut. That they have never actually fought on the page calls into question if Juggernaut could actually defeat the legendary Red Hulk in a fight, and there's evidence for both sides. On the one hand, Cain Marko has some truly absurd feats of strength, and he's gone up against people of similar power, like Bruce Banner's Hulk.

Ethel Cain has unveiled “Punish,” the first single from her upcoming album, Perverts, which is set for release on January 8th, 2025.

The sparse, haunting, piano track is nearly seven minutes long, and the accompanying black-and-white music video offers eerie vignettes consistent with the Southern Gothic aesthetic established in 2022’s Preacher’s Daughter. As the song continues, the sound gradually builds, incorporating charged guitars and increasing the volume until the energy is all-encompassing.

Murphy also hated the Beverly Hills Cop sequels (though his stance on the second film has softened greatly) so much it took him 30 years to work up the enthusiasm for a fourth outing.

While Netflix's belated Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F was far from flawless, it underlined that Murphy's star power remains intact. Time will tell if Beverly Hills Cop 5 will happen, but given the positive response to part four, there's a good possibility. In Detective Comics #1084, Cassandra Cain's mother, the assassin Lady Shiva, offers a unique perspective on how the current Batgirl can honor Batman in his absence, at a time when he is believed to have been killed. Lady Shiva's deep understanding of Batman's wishes for Cassandra prove, in a roundabout way, that she shouldn't be underestimated as an antagonist even as she uses her powers of perception and keen psychological insight in this case to comfort her daughter. Detective Comics #1084 marks Batman's return to Gotham, though not before exploring how Batgirl coped in his absence, and using his alleged death to give DC readers a fascinating moment between Cain and her mother, Shiva.

What makes the ongoing legal issues especially awkward is that both Cain and Schon are active members of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame act, currently sharing the stage together on a summer North American tour with Def Leppard.

All Things Go announced on Tuesday that it will be expanding to the New York City area later this year, with a lineup led by Reneé Rapp, Janelle Monáe, Chappell Roan, Muna, Ethel Cain, and Julien Baker.

The inaugural New York edition will be held at Forest Hills Stadium on Sept. 28 and Sept 29, featuring an all-female and non-binary lineup with most of the performers being members of the LGBTQ community.

Storyline aside, the strangeness encapsulating Outer Range Season 2 (and the previous season) is mind-bending.

While some questions from the previous season are answered, even more are left on the table, along with a suggestion of trouble surrounding the timeline of events.

Outer Range dives headlong into the concept of time travel, a science fiction genre that often derails movies and shows that embrace it.

While time travel will always be an exciting and intriguing topic to the audience, it also means that a resolute ending point in the season finale is nothing more than a pipe dream.

Nathan Zellner and David Zellner’s Sasquatch Sunset is stomping into circa 850 theaters this weekend after debuting in 9 with a solid opening for a film many could find weird. A tribe of Sasquatch, possibly the last of their kind, live and love in the woods of northern California, where it was shot.

For years, Fallout fans have wondered who started the nuclear war that eventually led to the end of the world as we know it. Well, Amazon’s Fallout series offers an answer to that question, and some fans may not be happy with what it has to say.

In the third act of the TV series, it is revealed that the nuclear war wasn’t started by one of the world’s warring countries but rather by Vault-Tec itself. Via a series of flashbacks, we learn that Vault-Tec detonated its own nukes, sparking the war between the U.S. and China that ravaged the planet’s surface. The main reason for such an evil act is simple: greed. After all, if there’s no war, Vault-Tec’s most valuable product, a vault meant to protect citizens from nukes and the fallout thereafter, would go to waste.
