We are talking about the 2021 show Tabbar (a Punjabi word which means family). Read on to know more about the series and where you can stream it.

Tabbar – Plot & Cast

The eight-episode family drama thriller revolves around a retired cop, Omkar Singh (played by Pavan Malhotra), who lives with his family in Jalandhar, Punjab. When Omkar’s elder son mistakenly brings home an identical bag, the bag owner tracks him and arrives at his home to take it back.

There was a lot of activity on the streaming platform in April, not much of it of any validity beyond the immediate, let alone staying power. Most of all, April 2025 would be remembered as the month when Netflix India hit the rock bottom of creativity with Jewel Thief, a film so inexcusably awful it would take analysts years to unravel its layers of mediocrity.

A question Netflix should be asking is, how did something so putrid get approved? Producers and actors with clout should think before committing themselves to such crimes of creativity. Remember, if you think only of the zeroes on the cheque, you soon end up as a zero.

Netflix has revealed its Indian content slate yet for 2025, spanning over 25 titles across films, series, and unscripted programming, featuring major Bollywood stars and marking several significant debuts.

In the romantic drama “Aap Jaisa Koi,” R. Madhavan and Fatima Sana Shaikh star in what’s described as a heartwarming tale from Dharmatic Entertainment. Black Warrant, the latest addition to the prison movie genre, is based on the book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer, co-written by journalist Sunetra Choudhury and Sunil Kumar Gupta, a former jailer. The book recounts Gupta's experiences over the course of his 34-year career. The seven-episode Netflix series was created by Vikramaditya Motwane and Satyanshu Singh. Black Warrant stars Zahan Kapoor as Sunil Gupta, the central character. Other actors include Rahul Bhat, Paramvir Singh Cheema, Anurag Thakur, and Sidhant Gupta as Charles Sobhraj, the real-life "Bikini Killer," also portrayed by Tahar Rahim in The Serpent.

Exclusive: Hot on the heels of launching Netflix police drama Black Warrant, India’s Applause Entertainment has struck a two-picture deal with 83 and Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan.

The pact will see Applause and Kabir Khan Films co-produce a pair of features, with Bollywood blockbuster maker Khan at the helm as director and creative production lead on both. No further details of the pics yet, but Applause Managing Director Sameer Nair said the partnership is “fuelled by our mutual love for storytelling.”
