After Rosie O’Donnell decided to move to Ireland in response to Donald Trump‘s second election to the presidency, Trump mocked the now-expat in front of the Irish prime minister during an Oval Office visit earlier in the week. So Joy Behar decided to explain exactly what Trump’s longstanding feud with O’Donnell is really about. On Friday’s (March 14) episode of The View, the first “Hot Topic” of the day was to discuss her former cohost’s relocation, and after rolling footage of both O’Donnell’s explanation and Trump’s taunt, Behar joked, “Oh no, he’s going to be mad at Ireland now. Here come the potato tariffs!” Sunny Hostin then asked Behar to explain what it was that first sparked Trump’s hatred for the comedian, noting, “He’s a toddler. His frontal lobe is not really fully developed, in my opinion, and so he probably suffers from that imposter syndrome,...

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell is so “exhausted” with President Donald Trump‘s first 52 days in office that he’s announced he’ll be taking the next week off to recover. O’Donnell shared the news on Wednesday (March 12), telling fellow MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, “I know you’ve pledged to cover and be here for the first hundred days of the Trump presidency. I hope you noticed that I did not make that same pledge.” “You’re not going anywhere, are you?” asked Maddow, who looked shocked, perhaps due to recent departures from MSNBC, including her friend and colleague Joy Reid. The Last Word host went on to explain, “Here’s the thing, this is day 52. I thought it was day 92. It turns out it’s day 52, Rachel, and I’m exhausted at day 52, and so, I’m going to take next week off.” A broken and completely demoralized Lawrence O...

CNN NewsNight panelist Ana Navarro fired back at Kevin O’Leary on Wednesday night (March 12) after the Shark Tank star said nobody cares about the political views of Rosie O’Donnell. The confrontation came after O’Donnell shared a TikTok video on Wednesday, where she revealed she and her 12-year-old daughter had moved from the United States to Ireland for a “better life.” O’Donnell, now living in Dublin with her youngest daughter Dakota (also known as Clay), said, “It’s been heartbreaking to see what’s happening politically and hard for me personally as well. The personal is political, as we all know,” adding that she and Clay “just felt like we needed to take care of ourselves and make some hard decisions and follow through” and won’t consider returning to the U.S. until “all citizens have equal rights.” Responding to O’Donnell’s post on Wednesday’s NewsNight, O...

Ireland’s Prime Minister Micheal Martin appeared a bit perplexed today by a question posed to him during an Oval Office visit with President Donald Trump.
Brian Glenn, chief White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice, a Trump supporting news outlet, asked him “why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland? I think she is going to lower your happiness level.”
Trump responded, “Thank you I like that question.”
Martin chuckled but appeared to not quite understand the question or how to respond.
“Do you know who she is?” Trump asked.
Glenn could be heard saying, “I’m joking,” before Trump added, “You are better off not knowing.”
During the Oval Office meeting last month between Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky, Glenn asked the Ukrainian leader why he didn’t wear a suit.

Rosie O’Donnell has confirmed she has moved from the United States to Ireland, where she is in the process of taking up citizenship.
“The people here are so loving, kind and welcoming. I’m very grateful,” O’Donnell said, while adding she missed the rest of her family and friends back in the U.S. Her news, conveyed during a nine-minute TikTok video, mentioned the challenges of navigating a new country.
At the same time, O’Donnell made it clear crossing the Atlantic to find a new home was prompted by the current U.S. political climate, with Donald Trump recently returning to the White House for the start of his second term. While not naming the U.S. president directly after years of being a critic of his politics, O’Donnell stated: “It has been heartbreaking to see what is happening over there politically and hard for me personally as well.

Breaking down a script, working with actors, shot listing, guiding the edit – all crucial tasks for a director, but in the TV world, that’s just the start. TV directors have the unique challenge of having to put a personal touch on a long running story, while collaborating not only with the executives, cast and crew, but also the showrunner.
Oh and did you know, TV is becoming more cinematic, (just look at the amazing shows we honored at the Spirit Awards this year), Yes it’s great for us at home, but for those hard working TV directors, it still requires creating tens of hours of content per season, and usually at a budget that would make a studio director cry.

CBS News’ recent changes that were meant to entice viewers seem to be failing as the network’s Evening News program continues its ratings woes following the exit of longtime anchor Norah O’Donnell. Veteran journalist O’Donnell anchored her final episode of Evening News on January 23. She was replaced by John Dickerson and Maurice DuBois for a new-look version of the program, which took on a more 60 Minutes-style style magazine format. Rather than rattling through the headlines, the new show provides longer segments on specific topics. However, it appears the new format is struggling to connect with viewers, as CBS Evening News saw a 24 percent drop in the 25-54 demographic when compared to the same period last year, per Nielsen ratings. In comparison, David Muir‘s World News Tonight on ABC has seen an 8 percent annual gain in the 25-54 demographic, while Lester Holt‘s Nightly News on NBC has seen...

He may be Hollywood’s newly-crowned It boy thanks to his starring role in “Babygirl” opposite Nicole Kidman, but Harris Dickinson has already made moves behind the camera.
The British actor’s directorial feature debut “Urchin” — now in post-production — is heading to the European Film Market in Berlin, with Charades launching sales. Gersh and UTA Independent Film Group are co-repping the film in the U.S.
Written by Dickinson, whose acting credits also include “Triangle of Sadness,” “Blitz” and “The Iron Claw,” the story follows Mike, a rough sleeper in London trapped in a cycle of self-destruction as he attempts to turn his life around. As per the description, the film is “raw and absurd,” and a “story about the strange patterns that keep pulling us back.”
The film stars Frank Dillane as Mike, alongside Megan Northam plus Amr Waked, Karyna Khymchuk and Shonagh Marie.

In addition to joining the cast of the Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That…, she has reportedly written a new hour of stand-up material for a forthcoming comedy special. Why? Why did Matt Damon reject 2 iconic roles? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Wondering why Matt Damon passed on these roles? “Well, Dark Knight was a small role that I was offered,” Damon casually explained. “I was headlining something else and couldn’t squeeze it in.” That “something else” ended up being a big deal, but The Dark Knight was about to change superhero cinema forever. And Matt? Well, he wasn’t part of that ride.
But wait, it gets juicier. Damon didn’t just miss out on Batman—he almost joined another iconic franchise. In a shocking twist, Damon admitted he passed on Avatar, which would’ve given him a sweet 10% cut of the box office.
That’s $250 million left on the table, and Matt? He’s not shy about it. “I’ve left more money on the table than any actor,” he said with a shrug. Ouch. So why would he...

After watching Reacher season 3's first teaser, it is hard not to believe it already looks way better than season 2. Developed by Nick Santora, Amazon Prime Video's Reacher is not the first screen adaptation of Lee Child's Jack Reacher books. Before the series, two movies, starring Tom Cruise, attempted to bring two Lee Child novels to the big screens. While the first movie performed fairly well at the box office, the second proved that the film series' extreme deviations from the source material did not resonate with Lee Child's readers. Fortunately, Amazon's Reacher did not make the same mistake.
While introducing minimal changes to Lee Child's Killing Floor, Reacher season 1 presented a compelling adaption of its source, allowing it to become one of Prime Video's most valuable IPs. Learning from its predecessor's success, Reacher season 2 also closely adapted most elements of Lee Child's Bad Luck & Trouble but still felt...

In February 1793, the French were repulsed in their attack on the island of Sardinia from the neighboring island of Corsica, which they controlled at the time. Some of the nation’s biggest TV anchors saw the plans they had for Election Night change almost as soon as the first exit polls came in.
Early preparations for election coverage had called for hours and hours spent on sifting through what was supposed to be a neck-and-neck race. Instead former President Donald Trump quickly emerged as president-elect Donald Trump, while Vice President Kamala Harris’ supposed foundations among “Blue Wall” states like Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania crumbled throughout the evening.
The biggest audience tuned in to Fox News Channel, according to early Nielsen estimates that may change later in the day, followed by ABC News, and then MSNBC. From the late afternoon to the wee hours of the morning, the anchors had to keep level heads, and wait for the actual figures to come in before they could tell the full story.

Two and a Half Men completely ruled the CBS screens with its sarcastic plots and perfectly timed humor. And with Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, the show gave sitcom fans a perfect series to enjoy their evenings. The show premiered just a year before Friends concluded in 2004 and was soon in the top three of any sitcom fans list. Like any other show, it also presented several storylines, more often than not focused on Sheen’s Charlie Harper’s extravagant lifestyle.

Charlie Harper was a man of many talents; not only was he a famous jingle writer, but he was also a ladies’ man. And one such episode featuring a past relationship of his that took the fans on a laughter-filled ride. But if the same would have happened today, it would be considered extremely transphobic.

TV news insiders can tell you the moment that the world changed for high-priced anchor talent: Nov. 29, 2017, the day Matt Lauer was fired from NBC’s “Today” amid shocking allegations of sexual misconduct. As a quick fix, NBC News turned to Hoda Kotb to replace Lauer as co-anchor alongside Savannah Guthrie for the show’s primary 7-9 a.m. broadcast. And then the network braced for impact.
But the crash never came. “Today” ratings actually improved post-Lauer, who had been making around $20 million annually. That’s a testament to the show and the strength of Kotb and Guthrie as a team. And it was most definitely a wake-up call for the industry.
“You had this kind of myth built up that if this person leaves, the show is doomed,” one news veteran notes says. “It’s driven by the idea you’re afraid that if he leaves, everything comes crumbling down.

Reacher seasons 1 and 2 have similar opening hooks, and, as season 3's story details suggest, it will continue the narrative trend set by its predecessors. Based on Lee Child's Jack Reacher books, Amazon's Reacher, so far, has had a successful run both critically and commercially. Owing to this, it is not surprising that ahead of its season 3 release, it has already been renewed for season 4. While only time will tell whether Reacher season 3 will maintain the high standards set by the previous seasons, its story details suggest it will be similar to its predecessors in one significant way.
Reacher season 3 is adapting Lee Child's Persuader, the seventh installment in the Jack Reacher book series. Since Persuader unfolds a solo mission for Jack Reacher in a small-town setting, Reacher season 3 can be expected to be more similar to season 1 than season 2. When it comes to its opening arc, however, the third...

Although the Neagley spin-off is exciting, its new story update makes it hard not to worry about one Reacher season 2 character. Neagley has been consistently appearing in every Reacher season since the Amazon show's inaugural installment. As reports confirm, even though Neagley is not a part of Lee Child's original Persuader novel, she will be in Reacher season 3's roster as well. By involving her in every Reacher season, it seems evident that the show's creators were paving the way for her spin-off from the very beginning.
In its early episodes, Reacher season 2 also paved the way for the Neagley spinoff by hinting that the character does some private investigative work when she is not collaborating with Jack Reacher. All these early setups made the Neagley spinoff even more exciting, but a news update about its plot is slightly concerning. It suggests that the inception of Neagley's story in...

She is finally setting the record straight. Melania Trump wants everyone to know that her son Barron Trump felt quite bullied when there were rumors going around on the internet suggesting that he might have been autistic. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Melania Trump – Slams Rumors That Barron Trump Is Autistic
In her new book, ‘Melania,’ the former first lady makes it pretty clear that her one and only son is not autistic and that he was absolutely hurt by the rumors that had actually began thanks to Donald Trump’s former friend turned enemy, Rosie O’Donnell.
Back in 2016, Rosie sent out a tweet that Barron was autistic without providing any evidence that he was at the time.
Barron was only ten years old at the time and according to his mother Melania, it took a lot of time to repair the damage that was done to his self-confidence.

In a stark departure from its own corporate precedent and the usual circle-the-wagons approach of news divisions in crisis, top execs at CBS News parent Paramount Global have publicly disagreed this week.
At the center of the situation was an interview last week with author Ta-Nehisi Coates on CBS Mornings. While co-hosts Gayle King, Nate Burleson and Tony Dokoupil all sat in on the chat, Dokoupil drew criticism for dominating and pressing Coates on the section of his book, The Message, that criticizes Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. Dokoupil, who is Jewish, challenged Coates on whether he believed the state of Israel had a right to exist.
CBS News brass addressed the matter during a staff call Monday featuring Adrienne Roark, the president of editorial and newsgathering, and Wendy McMahon, president of CBS News and Stations. They told employees that Dokoupil’s questioning did not meet the news division’s “editorial standards.

Former First Lady Melania Trump has finally spoken up in her upcoming memoir, Melania, over claims that her son, Barron Trump, is autistic, saying that they caused “irreparable damage.”
Back in November 2016, comedian Rosie O’Donnell tweeted a video in which she speculated that Barron might be autistic based on his physical and social behavior.
O’Donnell soon apologized and deleted the tweet after facing backlash, saying that the tweet “had nothing to do with” the former president.

Word on the street these days is that after over three decades in prison, the Menéndez brothers may be walking out as free men before the end of this year. A newly discovered evidence has given the brothers and their legal team new hope. However, supposing they do walk out of prison, what kind of people will they be walking out as?
What Will Happen To the Menéndez Brothers’ Multi-million Dollar Inheritance?
In 1996, Lyle and Erik Menéndez were sentenced to life in prison for the murders of their parents. At the time, the jury was convinced that the primary motive was to lay their hands on their father’s vast wealth.
Before they were arrested for the first time, the brothers had spent nearly a million dollars for travel, businesses and pleasure. However, the big cake was the amount they spent on attorneys trying to avoid jail time once the court case had kicked in.

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell has opened up about feeling like a “big sister” to Lyle and Erik Menendez, the brothers convicted of murdering their parents, José and Kitty, in 1989.

Saturday Night Live brought back almost all of the 2024 election principals for its cold open tonight, in a spoof of this week’s vice presidential debate between Jd Vance (Bowen Yang) and Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan).
The riffs were on the most memorable moments from an otherwise inconsequential 90-minute debate, including when both candidates were asked by CBS News moderators Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan about some of their contradictory past claims.
“Senator Vance, you called Donald Trump America’s Hitler. Do you regret that?”
As he did in the real debate, Yang’s Vance tried to explain it away. “The context matters. I meant that as a compliment,” he insisted.
Then it was on to Walz. “Governor Walz. You claimed you were in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre when you were home in Minnesota. Can you explain that?”
Gaffingan’s Walz answered, “I think what happened is I went to Epcot.

Rosie O’Donnell received a letter from Lyle Menendez about 30 years ago after he saw her on “Larry King Live,” saying that she believed Erik’s claims that they were molested by their father.
“I was out to lunch with Barbara Walters and our publicist Cindy Berger, and I said, ‘Barbara, you’re not going to believe this, but guess who wrote to me—Lyle Menendez,” O’Donnell recalls. “Barbara said, ‘Ignore him, he’s a murderer. He’s very cunning.’”
Walters had previously interviewed Lyle and his brother Erik in prison for “20/20.”
O’Donnell followed her advice. But two years ago, when a documentary was released that featured new evidence that Lyle and Erik were molested by their father, O’Donnell spoke out in support of the siblings on social media and in the press. “I got a call from Lyle’s wife – I didn’t even know he had a...

A resentencing hearing for Lyle and Erik Menendez has been scheduled for late next month, following the release of Netflix series “Monsters,” Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón announced on Thursday.
The possible outcomes include the brothers being released, receiving a shorter or even longer sentence or being granted a new trial. Gascón added that he is “keeping an open mind” about the case and that the “final decision will be mine.”
The Da said, “I don’t think there is any question” that the brothers murdered their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, in 1989. But, following renewed interest in their case due to Ryan Murphy’s limited series, his office has received “a lot of calls” calling for their release.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s first running mate John Nance Garner once famously declared that the vice president’s office was “not worth a bucket of warm piss.” In the first and only VP debate of the 2024 presidential election, Gov. Tim Walz and Sen. J.D. Vance on Tuesday went out of their way to prove the ornery Texan pretty much right.
As different as two American politicians can be today except for both being white guys who are aiming for the ultimate benchwarmer gig, Walz and Vance know their brief was to do no evil for 90 minutes on Tuesday.
Despite some sparring over who won the 2020 election, the January 6 Maga assault on the Capitol near the end and Walz condemning Vance for “a damning non-answer” on the matter, the two candidates sealed the fairly dull deal.

Before she was starring in movies, hosting her own talk show and publicly feuding with garbage people, Rosie O’Donnell began her career in show business as a stand-up comedian. In fact, back in the ‘80s, she won Star Search five times.
But as O’Donnell just recounted on David Duchovny’s Fail Better podcast, her first attempt at stand-up didn’t go so well — mainly because she ripped off another comedian’s entire act.
O’Donnell only became a comic after Richie Minervini, then the owner of The East Side Comedy Club on Long Island, approached her after witnessing the teenager get big laughs during a high school performance.
