In Predator vs. Wolverine, we saw a single Predator stalk Earth's greatest prey, the killing machine better known as Wolverine. In Predator vs. Black Panther, Yautja invaded Wakanda and nearly dethroned its King.
Next April, writer Benjamin Percy turns his twisted brain to Marvel's most beloved icon alongside superstar artist Marcelo Ferreira in Predator vs. Spider-Man. The series continues the tradition of pitting the iconic alien against some of Marvel's most popular superheroes.
First teased on social media last month, Predator vs. Spider-Man will debut a new Predator named "Skinner" whose brutal ways guarantee this will be one of the most visceral battles in Spider-Man history.
Here's the official description of the four-part limited series:
Target: Spider-man In Predator'S Grittiest Series Yet! A heat wave sends NYC into a blackout and Spider-Man on patrol as tempers boil across the city. But beneath its grimy sewers and subways lurks a...

A not insignificant number of Simpsons episodes have focused on characters being fired. Homer has been let go from the nuclear plant on multiple occasions, Principal Skinner was canned from Springfield Elementary after Bart brought Santa’s Little Helper to school and Kent Brockman lost his anchor gig after uttering an unforgivable curse word on the air.
In retrospect, perhaps these storylines were, to some extent, informed by the writers’ own job insecurities? Apparently, some Simpsons staff members were worried about being dumped simply because they wrote one of the greatest episodes in the history of the show.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, which coincided with the show’s 35th anniversary, longtime Simpsons writer Al Jean revealed that nobody involved with the show in its early years had any idea that they were making a future comedy classic. “Having been there during the ‘golden era,’ I’ll just...

For years after Cowboy Bebop ended, the world has wondered if Shinichirō Watanabe, the anime's visionary creator, would ever expand upon his beloved sci-fi universe or craft something akin to its enduring spirit. When asked about revisiting the genre, Watanabe admits that external expectations can stifle his creativity. Instead, he’s chosen to channel his energy into a new project, Lazarus, a 13-episode anime debuting on Adult Swim in 2025. While the DNA of Cowboy Bebop lingers in its themes and tone, Watanabe insists that Lazarus is a unique new vision that stands firmly on its own.
Watanabe, a titan in the anime industry, is best known for his groundbreaking work on Cowboy Bebop, the 1998 series that became a cultural touchstone and contributed to the global embrace of anime. However, his filmography also includes other critically acclaimed projects like Samurai Champloo, Space Dandy, and Netflix’s Carole & Tuesday. Despite his expansive influence,...

“You dabbled with aliens,” declares creature that had been posing as an alien hunter named Victor Kennedy. “Now meet the genuine article.”
It’s hard to put into words just how upsetting that genuine article is. Unsightly grey flesh drips from his shoulders and head, so that he resembles more a sentient glob of moldy yogurt than an actual person. Comedian Peter Kay makes his character even more upsetting by bearing his teeth and sticking out his tongue. And that’s before revealing that the faces of his victims protrude from his body still screaming for help, including a character noted for her sweetness stuck to his bottom.

Somehow, the worst part of the monster, dubbed the Abzorbaloff, is his behind-the-scenes origin. The Abzorbaloff design came from a child who won a contest through the long-running kid’s show Blue Peter.

TV shows often introduce plotlines that are later dropped without any resolution. Examples include the character of Caitlin in Heroes and the warp speed limits in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Lost and The Simpsons also had unresolved plot elements, such as Walt's mysterious powers and Principal Skinner's true identity.
Some TV shows set up dozens of threads and plotlines, only to drop some without a trace and move in a different direction. To be clear, this is not about shows where there is a promising setup, but it's unable to complete it because the show was canceled too soon, but actual plot devices that were left behind with no resolution. When a TV show is being made, and at each point in the production process, new ideas and storylines can be introduced, not every idea is strong enough or has a worthwhile ending, so some shows choose to just forget and move on.

“Fool Me Once” star Michelle Keegan is set to return for a second season of “Ten Pound Poms.”
Set in post-war Britain, the U.K.-Australian co-production follows a group of Brits as they leave behind their dreary lives to seek adventure down under. (In Australia “Pom” is a nickname for British people).
Keegan stars as nurse Kate Thorne in the show, which was created by “Fool Me Once” screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst.
Season 2 will pick up as Thorne tries to turn her Australian dream into reality as well as introducing some new characters who are sure to bring the drama, including the Skinner family, who have arrived from Ireland, and an unscrupulous landlord called Benny Bates.
Faye Marsay (“Black Mirror”) and Warren Brown (“Luther”) will also reprise their roles in the show alongside Rob Collins (“Mystery Road”) as Ron, Leon Ford (“Elvis) as Bill, Declan Coyle (“Long Black”) as Stevie,...

Despite the delay from the original August 2023 console release for Phasmophobia, developer Kinetic Games is still working to bring the game to PlayStation and Xbox in the new year. That’s on top of the additional slated improvements, features and maps, which have been laid out in a new roadmap by the developer on Phasmophobia‘s Steam page.
The new roadmap has been split into two areas: version updates and those updates releasing “as soon as they’re ready”. The version updates omit any dates for their release, but instead lists off the improvements to the game. According to the developer, the long-awaited “Horror 2.0” update, which includes the overhaul of a great portion of Phasmophobia, will be the “last major milestone for the game” ahead of its Early Access exit. However, this doesn’t mean development for the game will conclude after the 1.0 release, as more equipment, ghosts and locations are planned after that.

The relationship between Homer and Ned on The Simpsons has evolved, with Flanders becoming a more devout and cautious character. Despite their differences, Homer and Ned have a contentious relationship but are capable of working together when facing real stakes, as seen in the Christmas episode "Skinner's Sense of Snow." Previous attempts to pair up Homer and Ned failed because they required the characters to act out of character, but this Christmas episode succeeded by allowing them to stay true to themselves while working together.
Although The Simpsons needed 12 seasons to get Homer and Ned’s dynamic right, one festive Christmas episode proved the duo had potential. The relationship between Homer Simpson and Ned Flanders hasn't been consistent throughout the history of the show. Ned started as a comically perfect neighbor, and the central gag behind his character was that he made Homer look worse in comparison. As the animated sitcom continued,...

Found in your local “Shower After Watching” section of the suspicious flea market around the corner is 1993’s Skinner. And it’s probably the only movie in that bin to feature an acting performance from daytime talk show host Ricki Lake. Seriously.
This little piece of rarely spoken about horror history is one part Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer and one-part uncategorizable madness that I’m semi-shocked is still available to watch at all, much less to be reached in an instant on Tubi.
In the film, directed by feature director turned porn director Ivan Nagy, Dennis Skinner (the great Ted Raimi) is an active serial killer who murders mostly prostitutes and then skins them, stitches them back together and wears them while talking about his childhood and saying things like “This really is the clothing…..for a divine soul.”
