Growing up in Paris, France, Mathew Lorenceau was influenced by his mother, Catherine, who instilled in him a passion for sports like horseback riding and swimming, as well as skiing and tennis. However, it was at the age of twelve, inspired by the movie "Karate Kid", that he discovered Martial Arts, eventually earning a 3rd Degree Black Belt and achieving victories in both fights and forms.

Being the son of renowned movie critic Michel Delahaye, from "Les Cahiers du Cinema" magazine during the Sixties until the mid Seventies, Mathew was introduced to the world of cinema known as the seventh art, by his father. He admired cinematic legends like Charlie Chaplin, The Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, Jacques Tati, Kirk Douglas, Clint Eastwood, Charlton Heston, Burt Lancaster, Errol Flynn, James Dean, Gene Kelly and many other film icons which fueled his aspiration to become an Actor; his exposure to the film industry also included acting in student films alongside his father who was also teaching at l'HIDEC also known as la FEMIS Film School.

At twenty, Mathew pursued acting at the prestigious "Actorat Vuillin" in Paris performing in Edmond Rostand's play "Cyrano de Bergerac" which kickstarted his on-screen journey with the television show "Highlander".

In 1991 he meets a fellow stuntman - acrobat circus performer - parkour and martial artist Cyril Raffaelli through stunt training which Mathew underwent rigorous training for a two year period, forming a lasting friendship.

In 1996, Mathew choses to move to Hollywood, California to pursue his dream. Today he works on the translation of his father's screenplay "Archangel and Robinson" and start developing few screenplays to make his dream a reality.

In 2002, Mathew meets one of his younger cousin, Fabrice Lorenceau who studies at USC to become a producer.

In 2005, Mathew is hired as a stuntman on the remake of "Poseidon" directed by Wolfgang Petersen, by famed Stunt Coordinator Doug Coleman.

In 2009, he is hired by the Brand X Action Specialists Keith Woulard & Tom R Harper to perform stunts on "Iron Man 2", in which he is given the opportunity to deliver lines to Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke
