The movie version of Wicked has taken theaters and now streaming by storm. The Oscar-winning adaptation of the Broadway musical is now available on Peacock, after a wildly successful home video release and an even bigger box office haul. The streaming debut means that fans can rewatch the film and fall in love again with not just the story, but its technical accomplishments.

Christopher Scott choreographed the Wicked movie, and he spoke to Cbr about how he shaped all of the film's enchanting dance numbers. He discusses how he utilized the talents of Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande and other cast members in his work. Cbr: What was your point of entry into the world of Wicked? Were you familiar with the musical, or did you come into working...

The Wicked duo delighted the audience with a much-buzzed about medley of songs from their smash hit movie musical.

The 97th annual Oscars ceremony is almost here.

The 2025 Academy Awards are taking place tonight, Sunday, March 2, at 7pm E.T. — yes, earlier than usual — at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Conan O’Brien will make his Oscar hosting debut with the ceremony.

2025 is a monumental moment in the almost century-old awards show: It’s the first time in history that the Oscars will be streaming live. This year’s show will be available on Hulu starting at 7 p.m. Et/4 p.m. Pt, in conjunction with ABC channels airing the broadcast. There will also be a livestream on the Academy social pages, as well as streaming via Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV.

The ceremony is confirmed to include a highly-anticipated performance by Oscar-nominated “Wicked” stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. While it’s been rumored that the duet will open the show, Grande stayed mum when speaking with IndieWire.

The 38-year-old Wicked actress is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work as Elphaba, and her outfit on the carpet gives a nod to the character.

“We wanted a nod to Oz, we wanted a nod to green, we wanted a nod to Old Hollywood,” she said of her look on E! Live From the Red Carpet.

Her look for the Oscars this year was also in homage to Hattie McDaniel, who was the first ever Black actress to win an Oscar, for her role as Mammy in the 1939 film Gone with the Wind.

The two Oscar-nominated actress stepped out for Women in Film’s 2025 Oscar Nominees Celebration on Friday evening (February 28) held at Wheelhouse in West Hollywood, Calif.

Robin Roberts absolutely owned an on-air performance that occurred during Good Morning America.

The GMA anchor, joined by co-anchor Michael Strahan and meteorologist Sam Champion, delivered a fun dance after a group of the show’s guests encouraged it.

Sam introduced a segment celebrating Black History Month near the close of Thursday’s show.

“Our celebration is to get everybody moving,” he said with Kenny J and soul line dancers on-screen.

Robin presented the story about the dance style, a Black community staple that blends fancy footwork with R&b and hip-hop.

She called it a “guaranteed party starter” featured in ABC’s hit sitcom Abbott Elementary and said people of all ages can participate.
