Season 23 of American Idol continued the audition phase on Sunday night as judges Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan traveled to New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville to find music's next superstar. The two-hour episode aired Sunday, March 23 (8 p.m. Et/Pt) with Ryan Seacrest hosting.
The night's most memorable moment belonged to Freddie McClendon, the 19-year-old son of Davis McClendon, a 46-year-old father of three who was murdered in 2023. "One of my favorite memories — I was around 15 years old and my dad took me to Nashville for the first time," Freddie said prior to his audition. "Seeing Music City and Broadway — he said, 'You know Freddie, that's gonna be you one day.' It's happening today!"
"I've been writing music since I was a freshman in high school," he told the judges. "I really started doing it seriously about a year ago when my dad passed away. My...

A big night out for Amy Robach with her boyfriend, T.J. Holmes, gave the couple a “chaotic” and “humbling” experience.
The former Good Morning America and GMA3 co-stars are now full-time podcast hosts with the Amy and T.J. Podcast on iHeartRadio.
They debuted the podcast over a year ago, following their exit from ABC News as co-hosts of GMA3.
In one recent episode, the couple shared their raw and emotional reactions to the recent layoffs at GMA and GMA3.
Previous rumors from insiders suggested that individuals behind the scenes blamed Amy and T.J. for GMA3’s decline because, since their departures, no other co-hosts could match their chemistry.
They’ve continued dating since leaving ABC News after news of the GMA3 co-host’s private relationship became public.
Due to their association with iHeart, they recently attended the 2025 iHeart Music Awards, which featured plenty of significant stars stepping into the spotlight.

Country singer Bryson Quick made one of the night's strongest impressions with his rendition of "Time" by Pink Floyd. The 17-year-old from Seymour, Tenn. strolled on set and revealed that his father, Alex, worked as Luke's fishing guide at Blackberry Farm. "He took you fishing several times," Bryson told the judge — with a photo to prove it. Carrie then jumped in the conversation, bragging, "I've been fishing at Blackberry Farm. I didn't need a guide, though."

When Benson Boone is about to jump out of a helicopter hovering 60 feet above Utah Lake, which is the kind of thing Benson Boone likes to do, a single thought passes through his mulleted, 22-year-old head: This is gonna be sick.
On clear days, that very body of water, and the white mountains beyond it, are part of the panoramic view from the terrace of Boone’s house, a sharp-angled, industrial-gray luxury fortress with towering windows atop a cliff 30 minutes south of Salt Lake City. “It’s always good to try things in life,...

On a chilly east London evening at the 2025 Brit Awards, U.S. native Sabrina Carpenter opened the night flanked by the King’s Guard.
As always, the “Short n’ Sweet” star dazzled with a sparkling corset bodysuit, impeccable vocals and salacious dance moves (so salacious, in fact, that viewers threatened to complain to the country’s communications regular, Ofcom). Renditions of Espresso and Bed Chem were aptly anglicized by giant union jacks cascading either side of the O2 Arena stage.
The Hollywood Reporter was seated at the U.K.’s biggest music awards show. Later on in the night, Carpenter received the Brits’ first-ever global success award. “In a very primarily tea-drinking country you guys streamed the shit out of Espresso,” she laughed. “And you’ve really understood my dry sense of humor because your sense of humor is so dry. So, I love y’all more than you even understand.

Luck was in the air Wednesday night as Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora celebrated the premiere of The Masked Singer Season 13. The panelists started out the show by squishing into an elevator with all of the former winning costumes: Monster, Fox, Night Angel, Sun, Piglet, Queen of Hearts, Firefly, Harp, Medusa, Cow, and Goldfish. Host Nick Cannon then asked if there was “room for four more,” as he was accompanied by all three reigning Buffalos.
Just like in years past, the lucky 13th season premiere introduced a new group of costumes who would duke it out on the main stage for a shot at eventually winning the Golden Mask. The singer with the lowest number of votes would be forced to unmask in front of America. The contestants who took part in Episode 1 were Honey Pot, Ant, Paparazzo, Fuzzy Peas, and Coral. Teddy Swims attended the 67th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday evening as a first-time performer and Best New Artist nominee. Before he took the stage to perform “Lose Control” in an eccentric, flower-covered white trench coat, the musician walked the red carpet in a tan suit-and-hat combo covered in gold, bronze, and cream-colored pearls. Shortly after the ceremony, Sensen Lii — who founded the Chinese designer label Windowsen — shared a statement claiming Swims’ stylist Christian Stroble initially approached them to acquire a “pearl suit” for Swims to wear, but sourced the...

Chappell Roan made a bold statement at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards after winning Best New Artist. She used her moment in the spotlight to advocate for record labels’ better treatment of musicians.
“I told myself, if I ever won a Grammy and I got to stand up here in front of the most powerful people in music, I would demand that labels in the industry, profiting millions of dollars off of artists, would offer a livable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists,” Roan declared as the audience erupted in applause.
The “Hot To Go!” singer, born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, spoke from personal experience, explaining how she was signed to a label as a minor but left without job experience when she was dropped. “Like most people, I had a difficult time finding a job in the pandemic and could not afford health insurance,” she added.

When Taylor Swift announced Cowboy Carter as Best Country Album at Sunday’s Grammys, Beyoncé looked genuinely shocked. The global superstar is no stranger to the Grammy podium — after all, she holds the record for most Grammy wins, with 32 total trophies including this year’s crop — but, from her reaction, it seems she did not expect recognition from the very genre that inspired her ambitious and deeply personal eighth studio album.
And why would she? Despite earning more nominations at this year’s Grammy Awards than any other record, Cowboy...

The 2025 Grammys were a bit different. As the first major entertainment award show following the LA Wildfires, the Grammy Awards raised additional funds to support wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles while also honoring the first responders who continue to risk their lives to protect others and fight the flames, including inviting L.A. Fire Department members to present on stage.
The show was hosted for the fifth time by former “The Daily Show” front man Trevor Noah, and of course, it also featured performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and even a surprise appearance from The Weeknd after he previously boycotted the awards.

Charli Xcx showed the Recording Academy how to be a Brat during her debut performance at the 2025 Grammys.
The British singer started her live rendition of “360” in a parking garage outside the Crypto.com Arena alongside Gabbriette Bechtel and Alex Consani — two of the stars of the Grammy nominated track’s music video. In true Charli Xcx fashion, she created a party atmosphere throughout her live performance, walking through the venue accompanied by her entourage before making her way inside.
She went on to perform “Guess,” cultivating her signature party vibe on the Grammys main stage. Charli Xcx quite literally re-created a club scene during the performance, where she was later joined by model and socialite Julia Fox. She performed with a group of partygoers as garments flew around the stage, mimicking the track’s music video, dancing around the stage how Charli Xcx would. Notably, all unworn garments...

In a ceremony that alternated between subdued and sublime, reverent and rocking, the 2025 Grammys attempted to offer thoughtful tribute to the victims of the Los Angeles wildfires while also honoring the best in music. Fittingly, the biggest ovations came at the end of Sunday’s ceremony, as the gathered music royalty rose to applaud Los Angeles County firefighters, who took the stage to present the final award, and then again to celebrate Beyoncé, who claimed the night’s ultimate prize: Album of the Year.

As Coco Chanel once said, “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” Well, if that’s the case, then Jaden Smith might just be the most irreplaceable person to step foot on the 2025 Grammy red carpet. On February 2, 2025, the red carpet transformed into a wild runway of daring styles and boundary-pushing outfits. The After Earth star proved that the best way to stand out is to, well, be the castle.

No, we are not kidding. Really—he wore an actual castle as a headpiece, completely shifting the spotlight away from his classic black suit. With his bizarre yet brilliant ensemble, Will Smith’s son wasn’t just walking the carpet; he was owning it. And he wasn’t alone in making headlines.
From Bianca Censori’s sheer dress to Billie Eilish’s daring outfit, this year’s Grammy fashion was anything but ordinary.
