Belle and Shawn’s relationship on Days of Our Lives has been a long and complicated one, marked by young love, interference, betrayal, and numerous attempts at reconciliation. Here’s a detailed timeline:
The Early Years (1999-2004)
High School Sweethearts: Shawn-Douglas Brady (then Jason Cook) and Belle Black (then Kirsten Storms), the children of supercouples Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and John (the late Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall), began their romance as teenagers at Salem High. They were depicted as deeply in love, experiencing typical high school milestones like romantic dates and school dances.
Jan Spears’ Interference: Their young love faced a significant challenge when Shawn’s classmate, Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), claimed he fathered her baby after a school trip to Puerto Rico (the baby was conceived through a rape). To protect Jan from further trauma, Shawn claimed paternity, devastating Belle and leading to their breakup.

Whenever scientists alert us to the possibility that a notably large asteroid could strike the earth, there’s one reaction you can count on seeing on social media: “I’m rooting for the asteroid.” (This is just one of the dozens of T-shirt designs that will let you express the sentiment.) This crowd probably has a lot of crossover with the pessimists who believe A.I. will doom us all. But what if humanity’s downfall comes from neither of those, but from the rise of super-intelligent hamsters who can beat even our fittest aspirants at getting through simple mazes? We might look back on Human vs. Hamster as a warning we should have heeded, but it will be hard to get very mad about it when our new overlords are so adorable.

Exclusive: Good Morning Football is getting ready to return to NFL Network after a hiatus that saw the daytime show move from New York to LA.
Kyle Brandt, who has been with the sports show since its premiere in 2016, took some time between rehearsals ahead of the relaunch to talk to Deadline about the show’s changes and how he would handle being bicoastal.
Brandt will continue to co-host the show alongside Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager, and newcomers Akbar Gbajabiamila and Sherree Burruss. However, the morning show host is splitting his time between LA and NY, which he says will not be difficult.
“What’s difficult to do is to wake up at five in the morning and have about six minutes to come up with something original to say about Dak Prescott,” he told us. “I had a six-hour flight to get here, I have 50 things to say about Dak Prescott.

Is CBS a full-fledged Swiftie?
The network got creative with their Taylor Swift coverage on Sunday as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Los Angeles Chargers. After Travis Kelce scored a touchdown, putting the Chiefs up 24 to 17, CBS compared his statistics on-screen “with Taylor Swift in attendance” versus when he’s been “left to his own devices.” And, for the record, his performance excels with the pop star in the stands, logging 99 receiving yards per game. Last year, Kelce led the league in that category, averaging 78.7 yards per game.

Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions has reached a multiyear podcast and video deal with Mush Media, the content company co-founded by Sal Iacono (best known as “Cousin Sal”).
Under the deal, all seven of Mush Media’s podcasts — including Iacono’s Against All Odds and Extra Points shows — will live under Omaha’s lineup of original audio shows. Brandt tells The Hollywood Reporter that the lighthearted name “just lends itself to some of the stuff we are going to do.”
“If there is something to complain about, I will complain about that thing for 6 minutes and bring in contributors who want to complain about it too. If there’s something to do fist pumps about, same deal,” Brandt adds. “I will be shooting baskets in the basements,...
