Jamie Erdahl is set to lead an all-women’s Good Morning Football special on NFL Network.

The two-day special lineup will feature an all-women cast led by the Gmfb host on Thursday, June 5, and Friday, June 6.

On Thursday’s show, Erdahl will be joined by NFL Network analyst Cynthia Frelund, NFL Network reporter Jane Slater, and Cincinnati Bengals beat reporter Kelsey Conway.

Erdahl will appear on Friday’s show alongside Slater, New York Giants team reporter Madelyn Burke, and NFL and college reporter Tamara Brown.

Kyle Brandt, who has been with the sports show since its premiere in 2016, took some time between rehearsals ahead of the relaunch to talk to Deadline about the show’s changes and how he would handle being bicoastal.

Brandt will continue to co-host the show alongside Jamie Erdahl, Peter Schrager, and newcomers Akbar Gbajabiamila and Sherree Burruss. However, the morning show host is splitting his time between LA and NY, which he says will not be difficult.

“What’s difficult to do is to wake up at five in the morning and have about six minutes to come up with something original to say about Dak Prescott,” he told us. “I had a six-hour flight to get here, I have 50 things to say about Dak Prescott.

NFL Network has canceled NFL Total Access after 21 years on the air, Deadline has learned.

Amid the major changes at the network, the football news show, which premiered in 2003 and airs on weeknights, was canceled.

“Like any successful organization, the NFL regularly evaluates its workforce to ensure the proper support of strategic priorities including international expansion, the growth of flag football, and the evolution of digital and media platforms,” an NFL spokesperson said in a statement. “We have made the difficult decision to part ways with some employees to allow us to further invest in these growth areas and ensure the continued strength of our game and the business.”

NFL Total Access’s most recent roster included Mike Yam, Kimmi Chex, David Carr, Michael Robinson and Chase Daniel. According to a report from The Athletic, the last show for NFL Total Access is set for May 17.

NFL Network is cutting ties with commentator Michal Irvin after 15 years, Deadline has learned. Irvin’s exit comes amid a major shakeup at the network.

The former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver had been at the network since 2009. Will Selva is exiting NFL Network after 11 years and will not continue on Good Morning Football as the show moves cross country to LA later this summer.

In a social media post, Selva confirmed his time at Nfln was ending.

“My incredible run at NFL Network has ended after more than a decade,” Selva shared on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “I’ve had the honor to be part of Good Morning Football since day one, working with the most talented crew in the biz to deliver the news while hopefully giving the viewers a laugh.”

He continued, “I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the memories & will miss these days tremendously. Good things to come, but for now I want to give thanks to my colleagues & viewers for an amazing 11 years.”

Kyle Brandt and Jason McCourty hosted Good Morning Football one last time from the NYC studio before the show’s move to LA later this year.

Things got emotional at the end of the broadcast when Brandt went outside to the streets, where the cast had hosted many segments over the years. Brandt recalled the first episode, which aired on August 1, 2016, in which he said it was an “honor” and “privilege” to be at the Gmfb table in NYC.

“I also remember at that time I had 18 months guaranteed on my contract, and my wife said, ‘Well, if the show is terrible, at least we have 18 months to figure out how to move back to LA,'” Brandt said. “And 18 months in New York City became eight years, it became over 1,800 episodes and it became home at the breakfast table.”

Things got emotional on Good Morning Football as Jamie Erdahl bid farewell to the show ahead of her maternity leave.

The sports host got teary-eyed as she paid homage to her co-hosts, who might not be there when she returns to the show. NFL Network recently announced that Gmfb, which is based in NY, was relocating to LA this summer.

“I’ve been so proud of playing this Gmfb game here in New York City, the last 20 months,” she added. “The work, the creativity, the friendships, it’s been an honor, I’m proud of the person that I am when I sit in that red chair, and out of it. As a host as a wife, as a mom, and a daughter.”

The NFL, which has aired the A.M. program since 2016 on its own NFL Network, plans to create a new two-hour “extension series” that will be carried by multiple partners in syndication. Sony Pictures Television will distribute the program, which will have a new title. Meanwhile, the original “Good Morning Football” will go on hiatus for the summer starting March 29 and will relaunch by preseason.

“Good Morning Football” was the first New York based program to run on NFL Network and replaced the Los Angeles studio program “NFL Am.” The current program will soon originate from a new complex in Inglewood, Calif., where the league will have access to five different soundstages and a podcast studio for its various media produtions.

Denver Broncos fan Don Cheadle has to give up his seat on tonight’s Manningcast, but Peyton and Eli have found a couple of high-profile replacements.

Patrick Mahomes, fresh from a bye week with his Kansas City Chiefs, will appear on the show alongside former World Cup alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn. They will also be joined by Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt.

Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions has reached a multiyear podcast and video deal with Mush Media, the content company co-founded by Sal Iacono (best known as “Cousin Sal”).

Under the deal, all seven of Mush Media’s podcasts — including Iacono’s Against All Odds and Extra Points shows — will live under Omaha’s lineup of original audio shows. Omaha will produce video versions of the podcasts to be published on ESPN’s YouTube channel, and ESPN will retain the distribution and ad sales rights to the Mush podcasts, similarly to other shows in the Omaha Audio Network.

Jimmy Kimmel, Iacono’s cousin and frequent collaborator, will also partner with Omaha and Mush to write and produce original videos for Omaha’s social channels.

ESPN and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions are continuing to expand their podcast ambitions, launching a daily show to be led by NFL Network host Kyle Brandt.

The show, Kyle Brandt’s Basement, will actually originate from a tiny studio in the Good Morning Football host’s basement, and will be available on ESPN’s YouTube channel as well as all the major podcast platforms. He will continue to host NFL Network’s morning show.

Brandt tells The Hollywood Reporter that the lighthearted name “just lends itself to some of the stuff we are going to do.”
