As work continues on Avengers: Doomsday in the UK, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has been spotted working out alongside X-Men franchise veteran James Marsden.
The Sonic the Hedgehog star will make his official MCU debut in Avengers: Doomsday as Scott Summers/Cyclops, while Liu makes his first appearance in the franchise since his 2021 solo movie. A sequel, Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time, had been planned but fell by the wayside when Kang the Conqueror did.
While this photo isn't necessarily an indication that Shang-Chi and Cyclops will share the screen, it does appear to suggest Liu and Marsden are working on the movie at the same time. That makes sense after rumours of a clash between Earth-616's Avengers and Earth-10005's X-Men.
Speculation is also running rampant that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Evangeline Lilly will reprise her role as Hope Van Dyne.

‘The Life of Chuck’ Contains Multitudes ‘The Life of Chuck’, based on Stephen King’s 2020 novella, director Mike Flanagan crafts a reverse-chronological odyssey through the life of Charles “Chuck” Krantz (Tom Hiddleston). It is an elegiac meditation on memory, mortality, and moments of transcendence. The story begins at the end- amidst Chuck’s final moments and a world seemingly unraveling- then winds backward through three interwoven acts that explore his adulthood, childhood, and the threads that connect them. Tom Hiddleston leads a powerhouse ensemble, including Mark Hamill as Chuck’s loving but complicated grandfather Albie, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Marty Anderson, a kind and reflective teacher, and Karen Gillan as a tirelessly busy nurse- perhaps the film’s quietest reflection of our current climate of collective burnout and emotional fatigue. Tom Hiddleston plays Chuck with a kind of weary grace- a quiet, inward ache. His post-Marvel trajectory has been refreshingly unpredictable,...

Given that he's soon set to return to the MCU as the God of Stories, it's probably worth noting Tom Hiddleston's opinion on the best Stephen King story adapted for the big screen, primarily since he's now starring in one himself. During an interview with Letterboxd, Hiddleston was asked about his four favorite films, and coincidentally, one of them was a King adaptation. The actor, who is playing the lead role in Mike Flanagan's Stephen King adaptation "The Life of Chuck," mentioned a film that is sure to evoke some tears from audience members. It's a movie that features warm beer, Rita Hayworth, and a rock that has no earthly business in a Maine hayfield.
Hiddleston's last entry was Frank Darabont's 1994 film, "The Shawshank Redemption." He admitted, "I have thought about that film. It has inspired me so many times. It's a film I return to. It...

Thanks to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "Infinity Stone" is now a pop cultural shorthand. The six rainbow colored, cosmos-shaping Stones were slowly revealed movie by movie to be the primary MacGuffins of the MCU Phases 1-3. If you bring the Stones together then you can wield all of their power simultaneously and become a god. That is exactly what Thanos the Mad Titan (Josh Brolin) plans to do so that he can kill half the universe with a finger snap.
The Stones all have pretty simple and intuitive names, reflecting what aspect of the universe they control: Space, Time, etc. Those names are the same as they are in Marvel Comics, though there the artifacts have different colors and are typically known as Infinity Gems.

Howard the Duck made his MCU debut in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy, making a surprise appearance in the movie's post-credits scene. Seth Green lent his voice to the fan favourite fowl and reprised his role in the sequels and Marvel Animation's What If...?.
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted Howard on the battlefield during the final stand against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. Despite that, Green isn't counting his eggs before they hatch when it comes to a possible Avengers: Doomsday role.
Talking to The Direct, the Family Guy star confirmed he hasn't heard anything about a possible return as Howard in live-action. "No, nothing of any substance," he said. After Dune director Denis Villeneuve was confirmed to be the next 007 director, we asked you which actor you think should join him
Bond should have an element of danger about him. So yes Tom Hardy immediately springs to mind. I also think Tom Hiddleston would be good at a more lighter touch Bond though, the Roger Moore to Hardy’s Connery. All the other candidates either sound way to young or in the case of Idris Elba, great actor though he is, a bit old for the role. machinehead
Whilst Idris and Tom Hardy would undoubtedly have been excellent – Tom Hardy, in particular, has that undercurrent of menace that Connery always carried – as, I think, would Christian Bale, their time has passed. I did think Nicholas Hoult might be a reasonable pick, though possibly too “pretty”. But were I casting it, my money would go on Jack O’Connell: right age,...

Chris Hemsworth recently shared a video and message to social media which many fans took as an indication that his time in the MCU may be winding down, and there's been speculation that his upcoming role in Avengers: Doomsday might even be his final time swinging Mjölnir.
There's a chance this might be the case, but if Hemsworth is planning to hang up the hammer, it sounds like Marvel Studios might be forging ahead with a couple of Thor-related projects without him.
A recent rumor claimed that a fifth solo Thor movie is officially moving forward without Love and Thunder director Taika Waititi, and Daniel Richtman is now reporting that another project titled Thor Quest is also in development.
We have no idea if this will be a movie or Disney+ series (the latter is probably a safer bet), and the scooper doesn't have any other details. There are...

Marvel Studios dropped a few exciting surprises during the Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal, including the return of some familiar faces from 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise. There were some major omissions, though, and even with production underway, it feels like this ensemble is far from complete.
Kevin Feige has since confirmed it wasn't the full cast, and one of the most disappointing omissions remains Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox.
As part of Marvel Television's Daredevil and The Defenders on Netflix (an endeavour Feige had little involvement with), Cox was kept away from the MCU until finally being brought back several years later for a Spider-Man: No Way Home cameo. He later showed up in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo, and recently took centre stage in Daredevil: Born Again.

It's safe to say that Avengers: Doomsday is the circled event on all Marvel fans' calendars. The circle has moved in recent weeks as the film has been delayed from May 2026 to December 2026, but that has only increased the anticipation for the movie. If Marvel needs more time to make the biggest event in the Multiverse Saga even bigger and better, then that can only mean we're in for something truly mind-blowing. You don't have to sell the Marvel Cinematic Universe fans on any more than that.
But the truth is that Marvel Studios has been going above and beyond to sell the movie to audiences ever since it was repackaged from Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to Avengers: Doomsday. It all started with the San Diego Comic-Con announcement that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the franchise but in the new role as big bad Doctor Doom and it...

There are some things that are hallmark elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The endless iterations of Iron Man's suit. Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. A single star on a red, white, and blue shield. That last one, of course, belongs to the man (or men) himself: Captain America. Cap started in the MCU as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). More recently, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) picked up the shield and donned the high-necked suit. Between the two of them, Rogers and Wilson have shown up over and over again across the massive, growing, and increasingly confusing MCU timeline.
While there is a specific way to watch the Captain America movies if you want the full experience, that doesn't mean every Cap moment is equal. Let's rank all of the times the Man Out of Time showed up, from quick one-offs to feature-focused franchise films. We'll keep things to the MCU...

Kate Siegel in The Life Of Chuck
In Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's short story, The Life Of Chuck, which appeared in the 2020 anthology If It Bleeds, actress and director Kate Siegel plays high school teacher Miss Richards.
The Life Of Chuck is narrated by Nick Offerman, who guides us through Chuck Krantz's (Tom Hiddleston) life in reverse. We begin with Chuck on his deathbed and end during his childhood. And somehow, the end of the world and its quirky strangeness are somehow connected to Chuck.
Siegel has acted in other adaptations by Flanagan, including Shirley Jackson's The Haunting Of Hill House, Henry James' The Haunting Of Bly Manor, and Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall Of The House Of Usher. With Flanagan, she co-wrote and starred in Hush, about a deaf and mute writer terrorised by a masked killer. She wrote and directed the short film Lily,...

Over the weekend, we learned that Marvel Studios reportedly has plans for James Spader's Ultron to be featured in multiple MCU projects after the Vision TV series.
Fans have argued since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron that Ultron is too good a character to be a one-and-done big bad, so the fact that things are likely about to change has been welcomed. Now, there's a strong indication we're going to see another Infinity Saga villain step back into the spotlight.
According to @MyTimeToShineH, Thanos will make his MCU return in a future project. We'd bet on it being Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, particularly if we're going to see Doctor Doom take him out in the same brutal manner as what was shown in the Secret Wars comic book.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently shooting on the grounds of UK royal residence, Windsor Castle, and a new report claims to reveal how much Marvel Studios forked out for the permission to film in and around this location.
According to The Irish Sun, the studio paid "millions to shoot scenes for Avengers: Doomsday over the summer in Windsor Great Park." Apparently, "the money will go to the upkeep of Windsor Great Park, so the King of course has a keen interest. Some of the profits of Crown Estates make their way to the Royal Family, so it’s a win-win for everyone."
The article also includes a new set photo of the completed '60s-style house that's been under construction for the past week or so. The house has been referred to as "Luke Cage House" and "Iron Fist House" at various points, but it's believed that these were simply codenames to throw the scoopers off,...

No one ever stays dead for long in multi-billion-dollar movie franchises, and the latest MCU rumor is supporting that point. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen its fair share of villains come and go, and come back again. Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is the standout example, while Thanos (Josh Brolin) also returned from the dead via time-travel, and even Ant-Man's Darren Cross (Corey Stoll) returned in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania — though that movie is best left forgotten. After years of development, and four years after the release of WandaVision, the VisionQuestseries finally appears to be moving ahead, and it may have found its villain in an MCU veteran character. Avengers: Age of Ultron saw the titular team fight the sentient AI program created by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). But Ultron's (James Spader) time in the MCU might not be over, and VisionQuest will make a major change to the Marvel Comics character.

Marvel might be heading back to Berkshire for more filming on the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday. A new set could be built in Windsor Great Park, according to plans submitted to the local council by Marvel’s UK-based company, For All Time Productions.
The new set is being called “Annie Reynolds’ house.” Annie Reynolds is Sentry’s mother, and Sentry, following his debut in Thunderbolts*, is one of the most powerful and mysterious characters currently in the MCU.
A leak earlier this year revealed her possible role in the film. The house would be placed by Prince Consort’s Drive, not far from the Windsor Great Park Environmental Centre.
Marvel wants to start building in mid-July and finish taking the set down by the end of September. Filming is expected to happen over just one day in August.

After Agatha All Along bewitched audiences last fall, fans are hoping to see the stories of those that survived the Witches' Road (and those that currently exist as ghosts) continue in further Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. When it comes to the actors' own hopes for their characters' futures, Joe Locke shared who he'd like to see his character interact with. Locke plays Wiccan, or Billy Kaplan, who technically houses the spirit of Billy Maximoff. Fans first met Billy in 2021's WandaVision and, after the Hex was taken down by his mother, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), and his spirit inhabited Billy Kaplan's body during what would've been a fatal car crash.
So who does Locke want Billy to interact with? The answer lies within another Disney+ show. He explains to Buzzfeed he'd like to see Billy and Loki (Tom Hiddleston), yes, the God of Mischief himself first seen in Thor, interact.

Cinematic Universes are one of the hottest topics to debate on the Internet over the last half decade, largely due to the Marvel model consuming so many executives' imaginations over that span, and there are still folks out there trying to make fetch happen. But, what if an attempt at creating the next big pop culture obsession isn't an outright bomb and instead becomes a middle-of-the-road streaming success story? Well, that's exactly what happened to Amazon's "Citadel" and a huge reason why Prime Video opted to cancel "Citadel: Honey Bunny" and "Citadel: Diana."

Let’s toast actor Tom Hiddleston for his incredible career, which has included big screen Marvel films and indie movies of high quality, like "The Life of Chuck." He has starred as the wily and witty adventures of his God of Mischief and Norse deity that he has played in no less than six Marvel Comic films, ranging from 2011’s “Thor” with Chris Hemsworth in the title role to 2019’s “Avengers: End Game.” The British actor initially started his career on the stage and is currently Tony-nominated for his lead role in a 2020 revival of Harold Pinter’s play “Betrayal.” In 2016, he was up for two Emmys as lead actor and as a producer of AMC’s limited series “The Night Manager.”

Tom Hiddleston is officially returning as Loki in Avengers: Doomsday, set to release in December 2026. In a recent chat with Men’s Health, Hiddleston confirmed his involvement in the big Marvel crossover, though he stayed quiet on specific plot details or who he’ll be sharing scenes with.
He said, “You are correct in that I will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. That I can confirm. And that I’ll be working opposite some other actors in that film, that I can confirm. I can’t tell you which actors.”
Starting as Thor’s sneaky brother in 2011’s Thor, he’s been a villain, a hero, and everything in between. Hiddleston’s charm made him a fan favorite, and after dying in Infinity War, the Loki series gave him a fresh shot via time-travel shenanigans. Now, he’s not just alive he’s holding the multiverse’s fate. Talk about a glow-up.

Toy leaks are typically pretty good for spoilers, and it seems Avengers: Doomsday will be no exception. A list of Marvel Legends figures due for release in 2026 has found its way online, and it seemingly reveals the movie's main characters.
For context, the first wave of toys for a movie like this is typically spoiler-free. However, they also usually focus on a movie's leads, as those are the ones who typically sell to the masses. It's only later that we see the more obscure or secret heroes and villains take centre stage.
Who will that be for Avengers: Doomsday? Well, the New Avengers aren't getting much love. The Fantastic Four are highlighted, along with two X-Men: Cyclops and Gambit.
In terms of Avengers, we have Captain America, Thor, and Shang-Chi. Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom will, of course, get his own figure, and we're intrigued by the inclusion of H.

A new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps screened during Disney's CineEurope presentation yesterday, with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige doing the introductions.
According to Deadline, Feige "teased Avengers: Doomsday now shooting in London," and confirmed that the "events of F4 will lead directly into Doomsday."
This isn't entirely unexpected, of course, but it is somewhat surprising for any Marvel exec - particularly Feige - to be so open about what sounds like it's going to be a pretty major plot point. Then again, we already saw the Fantastic Four arrive to the main 616 universe in the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene, which is a clearly a pretty big Doomsday tease itself.
If the rumored details of First Steps' post-credits stinger are accurate, the sequence won't directly set up Doomsday, but it will introduce a certain pivotal character.

The BBC is reporting that Marvel Studios is looking to construct another Avengers: Doomsday set in the UK, this time on the Bracknell Forest side of the Windsor border in the neighbouring Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Marvel Studios is seeking a 10-week planning permission (between July 14 and September 20), giving them time to construct and deconstruct the set, which is described as "a house with pavement and road markings." Filming would take place for only one day in August.
Yes, 10 weeks of work for one day of shooting. That must make this a crucial location for Avengers: Doomsday, and the planning application confirms that this is Annie Reynolds' house. It will be constructed on Prince Consort's Drive, near the Windsor Great Park Environmental Centre.
Actress Molly Carden played Annie Reynolds, the mother of Robert Reynolds, in Thunderbolts*. While it's possible Marvel Studios is using codenames, this seems to suggest...

Thor: Ragnarok’s “Get Help!” Scene Wasn’t Scripted (Photo Credit – Facebook)
“Get help!” It’s the kind of line that sounds like it came from a quirky sitcom until Thor hurls Loki like a ragdoll at a bunch of unsuspecting guards. But this wild, chaotic moment from Thor: Ragnarok wasn’t even in the script, and that’s exactly what made it stick, as per Cbr. The scene plays out in seconds, but it captures something fans had been waiting years to see: real sibling energy. Not just the Shakespearean drama or the betrayal arcs — actual, childish antics.
Turns out, director Taika Waititi didn’t plan it in detail. Instead, he sparked it with a command that let Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston run wild. He pitched it as something the brothers might’ve made up as kids, no detailed dialogue, and no heavy setup. Just, “It would be...

Marvel Studios is gearing up to film scenes for Avengers: Doomsday at Windsor Great Park in the UK. The production will take place over four days, though Marvel has secured a six-month permit to build and dismantle a detailed movie set.
The set includes a 1960s-style structure dubbed the Luke Cage House, named after the Marvel hero, and features a spaceship, hinting at the film’s sci-fi elements.
The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead council approved the filming plans on May 7. The set will be constructed at Duke’s Lane Park, part of Windsor Great Park, managed by the Crown Estate.

Marvel Studios will be filming scenes for Avengers: Doomsday at Windsor Great Park this month. The shoot will last for four days, but the company has permission to use the land for six months.
This is because they need time to build and take down the movie set. The set will include a 1960s-style house called the Luke Cage House, named after the Marvel superhero. Plans also show there will be a spaceship on set.
Now, the latest set leaks showcase that this house has been set up, but it’s unknown whether filming took place:

Being part of Avengers: Doomsday is a big deal. It will be the first big Avengers title since Tony Stark died saving the universe from a younger and more vengeful Thanos in the groundbreaking 2019 film Avengers: Endgame. Yes. Thunderbolts* was retitled New Avengers, but I’m not counting that since it was renamed after the movie was in theaters. But those New Avengers will be joining many of the classic Avengers in the upcoming Marvel Studios game-changer.
With many fan favorites like Tom Hiddleston and Robert Downey Jr. (albeit in a new role) returning, and newcomers like the Fantastic Four being confirmed to appear too, people will undoubtedly start to wonder what their roles will be. It’s easy to guess that the heroes will be trying to stop Doctor Doom from destroying / reshaping the multiverse (though that could change). However, we still don’t know how they’ll get involved.

Much has been said about the 1960s-era house that's being built in Windsor Great Park for Avengers: Doomsday. We know from leaked plans that a ship lands there, with multiple scoopers suggesting it belongs to Captain Marvel.
Various codenames have been used for the house, referencing characters like Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and seemingly even The Void. Now, we have a first look at the set, and confirmation that it's meant to be located in Chicago. What relevance does that city have in the MCU?
The upcoming Ironheart TV series is based there, while we know from Loki that Kang Variant Victor Timely grew up in the city. Beyond that, there's not much to talk about, though a few episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were set in the Windy City.
Fan theories so far range from this being where Monica Rambea now lives after being stranded in the X-Men Universe...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has reshaped blockbuster cinema with its sprawling web of heroes, villains, and cosmic stakes. Since 2008, it’s delivered thrills, laughs, and heartbreak, but not every film lands with the same punch.

In March, Marvel Studios announced most of the Avengers: Doomsday cast in a lengthy video reveal. There were many surprising omissions, and the expectation is that the next wave of names will be revealed at some point in the coming months.
Chiwetel Ejiofor first played Mordo in 2016's Doctor Strange. After turning his back on The Ancient One and Stephen, a post-credits scene revealed that the sorcerer had tasked himself with killing those he believes are abusing magic.
The original plan for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was for the sequel to open with Mordo attempting to kill Wanda Maximoff, only for the Scarlet Witch to remove his head. That was scrapped, and Ejiofor instead played an Earth-838 Variant who was the Sorcerer Supreme and part of the Illuminati.
During a recent red carpet interview with Flip Your Wig, the actor was asked whether we'll see him in Avengers: Doomsday.

Earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, TheWrap asked Cynthia Erivo if there was a character that she would want to revisit.
The actress did not hesitate. Holly Gibney, she responded, the oddball private detective in HBO’s “The Outsider” who originated in a series of Stephen King novels.
“The Outsider” is one of more than 50 novels by the prolific King that have been translated into big and small screen stories, earning a staggering $3 billion and counting at the box office.
With Mike Flanagan’s “The Life of Chuck,” based on a story from King’s 2020 collection “If It Bleeds,” just hitting theaters after having won the Audience Award at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and several more high-profile adaptations on the way, including a “Carrie” TV series and a new version of “The Running Man,” the 77-year-old author is as popular as he’s ever been.

The Life of Chuck is the latest adaptation of acclaimed author Stephen King’s work. The film stars Tom Hiddleston in the titular role and is based on a novella written by King. It was directed by Mike Flanagan, who has previously helmed another adaptation of King’s books.
However, like his previous attempt, Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck has made a slow start to life at the box office. As a result, it could end up with the same commercial fate as the director’s previous adaptation of Stephen King’s work. Key ‘Doctor Strange’ Star Hints at Epic Return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’: “Who wouldn’t like a chair?”
Chiwetel Ejiofor has fans buzzing after a cryptic comment about his potential return as Baron Mordo in the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday.
When asked on the red carpet by Flip Your Wig if he’d reprise his role, Ejiofor grinned and said, “We’ll see … Who wouldn’t like a chair?” His playful response has sparked speculation about whether the sorcerer will appear in the multiverse epic.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ejiofor’s Mordo is the Sorcerer Supreme and an Illuminati member, a role he took on after the death of Supreme Strange. In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Mordo survived a deadly attack by Scarlet Witch that killed his Illuminati teammates.
His history with Doctor Strange and his reality-bending expertise make him a strong candidate for Avengers: Doomsday, though Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed his involvement.

Chiwetel Ejiofor may be keeping secrets about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he just gave fans something to talk about. During a recent interview, the actor was asked directly if he would be returning as Baron Mordo in the upcoming film Avengers: Doomsday. His answer was short, cheeky, and instantly got attention.
“We’ll see … Who wouldn’t like a chair?” Ejiofor said with a smile.
That response came from a red carpet chat with Flip Your Wig, and it immediately had Marvel fans speculating.
Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Masters of the Mystic Arts and a member of the Illuminati, succeeding the role of his late friend Supreme Strange. During Scarlet Witch’s war, he met and imprisoned an alternate Doctor Strange and America Chavez at the Illuminati Headquarters, fearing the former was as dangerous as Supreme Strange was.

While the world might end on a gloomy and grieving note for most of us, that’s not the case for accountant Chuck Krantz. Because his life ended with a “Thank You” billboard. Yup, that’s the weird yet soulful vibe of The Life of Chuck. Based on Stephen King’s lesser-known short story, this 2024 film flips the apocalypse on its head and turns it into a personal goodbye.
Directed by horror-genius Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) and starring Tom Hiddleston, The Life of Chuck is not your average Stephen King adaptation full of haunted hotels or creepy clowns. Instead, it’s a slow, dreamy ode to life, that explores the magic of existing. So today, let’s dive into the film’s reverse-timeline ending and figure out what it all really means.

Cate Blanchett made her MCU debut as Hela in Taika Waititi's Thor: Ragnarok, and aside from early rumors that the character was set to appear in Love and Thunder, we've had no solid intel on the villain's potential MCU return.
Blanchett did return to voice the Queen of the Underworld for the second season of Disney+'s What If...?, but we may not have seen the last of the character in live-action.
In the latest Cosmic Circus Q&a, Alex Perez says he has heard that Marvel is interested "in bringing the character back, but I don’t think it’s for the Avengers movies. Maybe in Thor 5?"
Thor managed to defeat Hela (with a little help from Surtur) at the end of Ragnarök, but it's no easy thing to kill a god, so the character could quite easily be brought back without the need for much explanation.

As missile fly in the Middle East between Israel and Iran, two filmmakers, one from each country, are out with a politically charged sports drama they co-directed in a landmark collaboration.
Tatami, by Academy Award-winner Guy Nattiv (Golda. Skin) and Cannes Best Actress winner (for Holy Spider) Zar Amir Ebramini, who also stars, follows Leila (Adrienne Mandi), an Iranian judo athlete in political peril when her government tells her to fake an injury and withdraw from the world championships rather than face an Israeli rival in the final.
Inspired by the real life stories of female Iranian athletes now in exile like taekwondo champion Kimia Alizadeh, boxer Sadaf Khadem and skier Atefeh Ahmadi, Tatami was filmed in 2022 in the Georgian capital Tbilisi “when the world was a little more sane,” said Nattiv in a June 13 interview with the Times of Israel. “In this film, we speak judo, not hatred.” Nattiv,...

Of all the actors announced during the recent Avengers: Doomsday's cast reveal live-stream, Alan Cumming might have been the most surprising.
Cumming made his one and only appearance in 20th Century Fox's X-Men franchise as Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler, in X2, but declined the studio's offer to reprise the role for the third film because he had no interest in sitting through the arduous makeup process again.
Wagner didn't show up in again until Kodi Smit-McPhee took over as a younger take on the character in X-Men: Apocalypse, but the character was pretty much relegated to background support aside from a couple of decent action scenes.
Nightcrawler's charismatic, Errol Flynn-inspired nature has yet to be fully explored in live-action, but it sounds like we will get to see the teleporter's swashbuckling side when Cumming reprises the role in Avengers: Doomsday.

It’s not the horror that makes prolific author Stephen King‘s works so compelling, though it certainly helps, but rather his talent for capturing the nuanced multitudes of the human condition. His three-dimensional characters leap off the pages and into Constant Readers’ hearts, ensuring their emotional journeys resonate with or without horror.
It’s something writer/director Mike Flanagan is deeply dialed into, frequently capturing the essence of King’s horror stories without sacrificing any of the sentimentality. So it only makes perfect sense that the filmmaker would eventually explore King’s gentler side, adapting If It Bleeds‘ novella The Life of Chuck into a life-reaffirming, tender celebration of life at the end of the world.
Like the novella, The Life of Chuck begins at the end, or rather with Act Three: “Thanks, Chuck.” Schoolteacher Marty (Chiwetel Ejiofor) attempts to navigate his usual work routine, despite the world around...
