As work continues on Avengers: Doomsday in the UK, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu has been spotted working out alongside X-Men franchise veteran James Marsden.

The Sonic the Hedgehog star will make his official MCU debut in Avengers: Doomsday as Scott Summers/Cyclops, while Liu makes his first appearance in the franchise since his 2021 solo movie. A sequel, Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time, had been planned but fell by the wayside when Kang the Conqueror did.

While this photo isn't necessarily an indication that Shang-Chi and Cyclops will share the screen, it does appear to suggest Liu and Marsden are working on the movie at the same time. That makes sense after rumours of a clash between Earth-616's Avengers and Earth-10005's X-Men.

Speculation is also running rampant that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Evangeline Lilly will reprise her role as Hope Van Dyne.

Marvel might be heading back to Berkshire for more filming on the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday. A new set could be built in Windsor Great Park, according to plans submitted to the local council by Marvel’s UK-based company, For All Time Productions.

The new set is being called “Annie Reynolds’ house.” Annie Reynolds is Sentry’s mother, and Sentry, following his debut in Thunderbolts*, is one of the most powerful and mysterious characters currently in the MCU.

A leak earlier this year revealed her possible role in the film. The house would be placed by Prince Consort’s Drive, not far from the Windsor Great Park Environmental Centre.

Marvel wants to start building in mid-July and finish taking the set down by the end of September. Filming is expected to happen over just one day in August.

A new trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps screened during Disney's CineEurope presentation yesterday, with Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige doing the introductions.

According to Deadline, Feige "teased Avengers: Doomsday now shooting in London," and confirmed that the "events of F4 will lead directly into Doomsday."

This isn't entirely unexpected, of course, but it is somewhat surprising for any Marvel exec - particularly Feige - to be so open about what sounds like it's going to be a pretty major plot point. Then again, we already saw the Fantastic Four arrive to the main 616 universe in the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene, which is a clearly a pretty big Doomsday tease itself.

If the rumored details of First Steps' post-credits stinger are accurate, the sequence won't directly set up Doomsday, but it will introduce a certain pivotal character.

At this year’s CineEurope in Barcelona, Disney unveiled an exciting lineup of upcoming films, stealing the show with major updates on Fantastic Four: First Steps and Avengers: Doomsday.

The BBC is reporting that Marvel Studios is looking to construct another Avengers: Doomsday set in the UK, this time on the Bracknell Forest side of the Windsor border in the neighbouring Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Marvel Studios is gearing up to film scenes for Avengers: Doomsday at Windsor Great Park in the UK. The production will take place over four days, though Marvel has secured a six-month permit to build and dismantle a detailed movie set.

The set includes a 1960s-style structure dubbed the Luke Cage House, named after the Marvel hero, and features a spaceship, hinting at the film’s sci-fi elements.

Marvel Studios will be filming scenes for Avengers: Doomsday at Windsor Great Park this month. The shoot will last for four days, but the company has permission to use the land for six months.

This is because they need time to build and take down the movie set. The set will include a 1960s-style house called the Luke Cage House, named after the Marvel superhero. Plans also show there will be a spaceship on set.

Now, the latest set leaks showcase that this house has been set up, but it’s unknown whether filming took place:

The leaks were originally posted on Reddit but were quickly taken down, luckily the same images were re-shared on X.

Being part of Avengers: Doomsday is a big deal. It will be the first big Avengers title since Tony Stark died saving the universe from a younger and more vengeful Thanos in the groundbreaking 2019 film Avengers: Endgame. Yes. Thunderbolts* was retitled New Avengers, but I’m not counting that since it was renamed after the movie was in theaters. But those New Avengers will be joining many of the classic Avengers in the upcoming Marvel Studios game-changer.

With many fan favorites like Tom Hiddleston and Robert Downey Jr. (albeit in a new role) returning, and newcomers like the Fantastic Four being confirmed to appear too, people will undoubtedly start to wonder what their roles will be.
