Few comic book characters have experienced as successful of a rebranding as Harley Quinn has had over the past decade. From being the Cupid of Crime to the kingpin of crimefighting, Harley Quinn has had a tremendous rebrand as of late.
Originally not even conceived as a character for the comic books, and a character who DC Comics editors actively did not want in the official comics canon, Harley Quinn has come a long way from being The Joker's lovelorn sidekick. Now, she's essentially become one of the leading faces of the DC brand. While some superheroes still treat her with vitriol (the Justice League still doesn't consider her a real hero), she at the very least has become a full-on anti-hero - and these quotes prove just that.

Seeing as she's a licensed therapist, not to mention a brilliant fighter, one Gotham hero is finally starting to take notice of her skills.

Mr. Freeze is changing his approach to hiring villainous help in the newest Harley Quinn issue. Batman & Robin's portrayal of Mr. Freeze was criticized for being too ridiculous, diverging from his serious comic persona. Harley Quinn's new role with Mr. Freeze marks a key moment for the villain as he aims to improve his reputation and goals.
Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin has long been the subject of criticism, even by DC itself recently in Harley Quinn #40. The newly released issue sees the titular antiheroine engaged in a new professional with Mr. Freeze as an educator for his latest recruits. The X-Men's newest comics, "From The Ashes," look to be banking on the 90s nostalgia that made the recent "X-Men '97" revival such a success. This safe approach, though, comes off (and undoes) one of the most experimental periods in "X-Men" comics ever: the Krakoa era.
"X-Men" has a premise that could be a straightforward science-fiction story, no capes needed, but most of their stories lean more on soapy interpersonal drama than big ideas. Krakoa titled that balance in the other direction. This new dawn for X-Mankind kicked off in 2019 with interlocking miniseries "House of X" and "Powers of X" and concluded in 2024.
"Krakoa" is the name of a South-Pacific island where Professor X, Magneto, and Moira MacTaggert create a homeland for all mutants (even the bad guys). Mutants proclaim themselves the next step in human evolution and now that they're one people, they prove that by outpacing human achievement.

"Make Me Like Gambit": Gambit Fans Share the X-Men Hero's Greatest Moments in Social Media Challenge
Gambit's fans share their favorite moments and panels showcasing his charm and personality. Marvel's upcoming Uncanny X-Men series may provide a bigger platform for Gambit's character development. Gambit's charm lies in his nonchalant demeanor and passion for his actions, making him relatable and likable.
Social media users have come out to show some love for Marvel's most underrated mutant, Gambit. For the X-Men fanbase, Gambit can be something of a mixed bag. He's someone who audiences either love or they hate, largely because (to some at least) Marvel has spent 27 years mistreating him and his character. And for audiences indifferent to him, it might be hard to see what Gambit lovers get so hyped about.
Anne Writes Comics over at X was wondering herself as to what makes Gambit so likable to those who are endeared to the Ragin' Cajun. All Anne asked for was for followers to reply with one page,...

This X-Men article contains major spoilers for the Krakoa era comics.
Evolution. Mutation. Change.
These concepts have always been at the heart of the X-Men story. Even the fairly straightforward Silver Age adventures by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby made in the 1960s positioned mutants as the next stage in human evolution. Yet, rarely has the franchise made a leap as pronounced as it did in 2019, when writer Jonathan Hickman came on board to radically alter all of Marvel’s mutants with the game-changing House of X/Powers of X event books.
Five years later, with the release of X-Men #35, which is also the 700th issue of Uncanny X-Men as a whole, the Krakoa era has come to an end. The next era of X-Men books, From the Ashes, kicks off this summer and will see Marvel’s Merry Mutants returning to a world that hates and fears them. While...

A new cover is reinventing Harley Quinn as a terrifying horror movie icon. From jester costumes to roller derby outfits The Cupid of Crime has had a lot of outlandish looks over the years. But one creepy variant cover gives Harley a scary look that would be perfect for her own horror film.
Summer is approaching fast and DC Comics has given fans a peak at what lies ahead with its June solicitations. There's a lot happening this month between the "House of Brainiac" crossover reaching its end as well as DC's new Pride special.

Romance in Power Rangers offers emotional investment beyond action and drama, resonating with universal desires for love and relationships. Power couples like Jason and Trini show that romantic relationships can impact character growth and even leadership roles within the franchise. Unconventional pairings, such as Bulk and Hailey, provide depth to characters and showcase redemption arcs beyond the typical hero narratives.
Romance is one of the most overlooked aspects of the Power Rangers franchise. Warning: Spoilers for Catwoman #64!
Catwoman's "nine lives" power leads to a brutal crash-landing on Earth, pushing her closer to her final death. Catwoman is risking her lives on dangerous missions, raising questions about her self-destructive tendencies. The number of Catwoman's lives is dwindling, leading her to push herself to the limit as she tries to be a hero.
Death continues to haunt Catwoman in the worst way possible. One would assume that finally receiving a "nine lives" superpower would prove to be a blessing for Selina Kyle, but it's proven to be more of a horrifying curse. Being gifted nine actual extra lives has done more to put her in excruciating pain with every inch she steps toward a final, irreversible death.
Case in point: Catwoman #64 by Tini Howard and Carmine Di Giandomenico showcases Catwoman's most devastating death yet as she crashes from space into Earth, burning up again and again before making final impact.

Warning: Spoilers for Suicide Squad: Dream Team #2!
Amanda Waller's heinous decisions are driven by fear, humanizing her character. Waller's fear makes her actions all the scarier, revealing her as an unhinged villain. The new backstory in Suicide Squad: Dream Team #2 recontextualizes Waller's motivations.
Amanda Waller has finally been humanized despite being Suicide Squad's harshest leader. For years, Amanda Waller has served as one of the most unflinching, uncompromising forces in the DC Universe, and she's only becoming a bigger threat during DC's current era. The Wall has existed in DC canon for 38 years and in that time, she's seldom (if ever) been humanized in hopes of rationalizing her ruthless nature.
That changes in Suicide Squad: Dream Team #2 by Nicole Maines and Eddy Barrows, as an introspective deep dive into Amanda Waller's dreams reveals that all of her biggest and most controversial decisions are rooted in fear — especially about what...
