The Walking Dead's Greg Nicotero reveals if The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 3 will introduce Rick's forgotten family member from the comics. Daryl Dixon season 3 will see Daryl and Carol surviving in Spain. While they'll encounter new faces, the country was also featured in The Walking Dead: The Alien, a spinoff comic focused on Jeffrey Grimes, Rick's brother.

In an interview with ScreenRant's Ash Crossan during San Diego Comic-Con, Nicotero revealed Rick's brother had been talked about while developing Daryl Dixon season 3. However, the executive producer explained there hasn't "been any real interest" in seeing him appear yet. However, he doesn't rule out the possibility in the future. Along with the date, fans also got a first teaser and some new photos from the upcoming season.

After waking up on the coast of France in Season 1, Daryl, played by Norman Reedus, has been trying to figure out how he got there and how to get home. That journey led him through broken cities and unexpected friendships, raising questions about what “home” really means.

Season 2, titled The Book of Carol, brought Melissa McBride’s character Carol back into the picture. She was trying to find Daryl, while he was dealing with his decision to stay in France. That caused a rift between them.

Daryl Dixon’s journey through post-apocalyptic Europe is far from over. AMC has confirmed that Season 3 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will premiere on Sunday, September 7 at 9 Pm Et/Pt on AMC and AMC+.

In the first season, Daryl found himself washed up on the shores of France with no memory of how he got there. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showrunner David Zabel opened up about the creative teams decision to move the shows location for Season 3. The horror drama has just recently wrapped up its 6-episode second season, which is now currently available for streaming on AMC+.

Spanish director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia’s innovative dystopian thriller The Platform was conceptually intriguing enough to spur a series of discussions involving the philosophical and psychological implications of survival in a vertical prison that imitates the social hierarchy. As a cherry on top, the movie also featured a number of interesting characters as prisoners, all burdened with their sins, having their own personal motivation and ideology—which inevitably evolved over the course of their quest for survival. While the number of key characters has been reduced in the sequel, with a noticeable lack of that x factor in the leads, a different approach to the narrative offers characters a much more varied perspective this time around. Additionally, old cast members reappear in this installment as well in various capacities, much to the delight of fans of the first movie.
