Ted King returned to the show recently to play Jack, while Naomi Matsuda’s Li forced him to take a paternity test. Jack turned out not to be Luna’s father, shocking Li, and Matsuda opened up about how she always learns something from him.

He’s a Soap Veteran

Matsuda and Romy Park, who plays Poppy, were interviewed on The Locher Room recently. When King’s name was brought up, Matsuda gushed, “Oh my God I love I love him so much are you kidding me? Oh my God I learned so much from him.

Although Poppy and Bill are kaput on The Bold and the Beautiful, Romy Park is having the time of her life waiting to see what’s next in store for her character. Via Nikkei, Sanrio president Tomokuni Tsuji was in Beverly Hills in mid-August to meet with Leo Matsuda, the co-director of the upcoming Hello Kitty movie (alongside Jennifer Coyle). Matsuda reportedly told Tsuji, "Hello Kitty's 'Getting Along Together' concept is applicable worldwide." In a dramatic turn of events, the defense team representing Shinji Aoba, the convicted arsonist responsible for the July 2019 attack on Kyoto Animation, filed an appeal with the Osaka High Court. The move comes in response to the death sentence handed down to Aoba by presiding judge Keisuke Matsuda on Jan 25, 2024.

During the trial the defense claimed that Aoba was in a state where he could not distinguish reality from fiction while setting fire to the animation studio and that his sentence should be lenient in light of his mental state.

Judge Matsuda’s ruling had however noted that Aoba was neither insane nor was of diminished capacity when he committed the crime, which made him liable for his actions.

The ruling noted that Aoba was neither insane nor was of diminished capacity when he committed the crime, which made him liable for his actions.

Judge Matsuda pointed out that Aoba had hesitated to commit the crime right before it happened. The judge also acknowledged that Aoba had suffered from delusions based on the psychiatric evaluations carried out post indictment.

However, he stated that Aoba had committed the arson on Kyoto Animation on his own will and that the delusions had no impact on it, labeling the act atrocious and inhumane.

“The horror and pain of the victims who died in Studio 1, which turned into a hell in an instant, or who died afterward, is beyond description,” judge Matsuda said.
