Sullivan's Crossing season 3 reportedly coming to Netflix very soon
Image
We have some good news for Netflix subscribers waiting to stream Sullivan's Crossing season 3! The new season, which just aired on The CW this spring and summer, will be added to Netflix shortly.

According to a report from What's on Netflix, Sullivan's Crossing season 3 will be released on Netflix starting Aug. 11, just a little under a month away at the time of publishing. Even if you haven't started your binge-watch of Sullivan's Crossing on Netflix yet, you still have more than enough time to catch up before season 3 hits Netflix later this summer.

Sullivan's Crossing is the sleeper hit of the summer on Netflix. After knocking Squid Game season 3 from the No. 1 spot on Netflix, Sullivan's Crossing has held on for about a week as the top show on Netflix US. It will probably stay that way until Untamed starring Eric Bana hits Netflix on July 17.

The first two seasons...

Virgin River Renewal Tees Up New Mystery for Mel and Jack in Season 7
Image
Some of your Virgin River favorites are going south of the border in Season 7. The only question is… who? And why? And when? Ok, there are actually quite a few unanswered questions to tackle here.

My queries stem from Tudum’s announcement about Netflix renewing Virgin River for Season 8, even before its Season 7 premiere. Published earlier this week, The article references how most of Season 7 was filmed in Vancouver, as usual, but with “a brief stop in Mexico” this time around.

If Virgin River Wasn’t Emotional Enough, Netflix Dropped Its Steamier Twin
Image
Just when fans thought Virgin River delivered peak emotional comfort, Netflix quietly added Sullivan’s Crossing, its steamier Canadian twin, to its roster, and so far, the show has been wreaking havoc on the streaming platform.

Also based on Robyn Carr’s novels of the same name, the show features the same cozy small-town vibe with a neurosurgeon lead, small-town scandals, and bigger romantic sparks. While we await the next season of VR, its twin is the perfect hug-your-pillow show with just a bit more heat.

Although Sullivan’s Crossing and Virgin River are not exactly carbon copies, they do share several similar traits. While VR is all about slow-burn warmth and family‑first drama, Sullivan’s Crossing is more emotionally charged, blending heartfelt moments with sensual undertones.

The cozy Netflix drama topping charts right now is made for Virgin River fans
Image
While Squid Game season 3 is breaking Netflix records all over the place, there's a new top show on the Netflix Top 10, and it's the perfect show for Virgin River fans and those waiting to watch Virgin River season 7 on Netflix!

Earlier this week, Sullivan's Crossing, the CTV and CW series, officially became the No. 1 show in the United States and bumped Squid Game season 3 to the No. 2 spot on the list for the first time since the season premiered on June 27.

The first two seasons of Sullivan's Crossing, which stars Chad Michael Murray, Morgan Kohan, Scott Patterson, Tom Jackson, and Andrea Menard, were just added to Netflix in July 2025. Given the popularity of other romantic dramas like Virgin River, Sweet Magnolias, and more on Netflix, it makes a lot of sense why Sullivan's Crossing is a big hit with Netflix subscribers.

The series tells the story of Maggie Sullivan, a...

‘Virgin River’ on Netflix Is Back for Season 8 and Somehow Still Not Out of Problems
Image
Have you ever considered leaving your current life and starting anew in a new city? If so, then Virgin River is the show that you will instantly pick up and hold dear. The show has been going on for 6 faithful seasons, and currently, the show will be returning for a 7th season. Amidst the return, Netflix drops another exciting announcement of how the show has been renewed for an 8th season. Exciting news, right?

The news would have been tantalizing to the ears, but the series has a critical issue with the relationship between Lizzie and Denny, which has been an eyesore for us to watch. Though there are many problems revolving around the two, the fans’ concern about how the show is wasting their potential must be taken care of sooner or later, before advancing further.

Netflix Orders Record-Breaking Season 8 of ‘Virgin River’
Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge in Virgin River (2019)
Netflix quietly confirmed on 10 July that its small-town romance “Virgin River” will return for a ten-episode eighth season, pushing the adaptation past “Grace & Frankie” and “Orange Is the New Black” to become the service’s longest-running scripted original. The early renewal arrived before the seventh season has even secured a premiere date, underscoring the streamer’s confidence in the franchise.

In a statement, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith thanked Netflix and viewers for “allowing us to continue on this journey with these beloved characters,” adding that “there’s a lot more to go” with Mel, Jack and their Northern California neighbours. Season 7 wrapped filming in Vancouver and Mexico late last month and is expected to land on the platform in late 2025, giving fans 20 new episodes across the next two seasons.

The drama’s staying power is rooted in numbers as much as nostalgia: the series has logged 38 weeks in Nielsen’s U.

According to Variety, the romantic drama series — starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson — has just received an early Season 8 renewal at Netflix. This news comes as no surprise to those familiar with the series, as it was previously renewed for Season 7 ahead of Season 6's debut.

Virgin River Season 7: Release Window, Production, Cast & All We Know About Netflix’s Small-Town Saga So Far
Image
Everything We Know About Netflix’s Virgin River Season 7 So Far(Photo Credit –Netflix)

Virgin River is not done with your emotions. Netflix’s fan-favorite small-town saga is officially rolling into its seventh season, and while the pace of life in the fictional northern town might be slow, the drama behind the scenes? Anything but. This time, old ties are being tested. And fresh faces are moving in, some with secrets, others with second chances. The season looks ready to stir the pot in a big way.

Virgin River Season 7: Production Timeline

Filming for Season 7 kicked off back on March 12, 2025, and the cameras were expected to stop rolling by June 26. With 10 episodes lined up, the show’s return date is still a mystery. Netflix hasn’t stamped a launch window yet, but given the radio silence on 2025 content lists, early 2026 (maybe around Valentine’s Day) feels more realistic than a late-2025 release.

Virgin River season 7 continues filming in an unexpected location
Image
Last week, the Virgin River cast had fans extremely excited with the most recent update about the hit Netflix romantic drama series. As cameras stopped rolling on season 7, the cast shared various posts on social media celebrating that filming had officially wrapped on the upcoming new season. However, there's now word that cameras might not have stopped rolling as we previously thought.

As What's on Netflix reports, Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson were spotted filming scenes for Virgin River season 7 in Yucatan, Mexico. It's the first time that the series has filmed somewhere other than Canada, which clearly makes whatever's happening in this storyline a special event. They were the only two cast members seen filming in Mexico. Well, so far.

Breckenridge and Henderson were photographed filming by the water, which seems to lend to some predictions that Mel and Jack could be on their honeymoon... or even perhaps it's a babymoon.

4 best TV shows coming to Netflix (and 2 shows leaving) in July 2025
Image
We're almost halfway through 2025, and it's been a great year for Netflix shows so far. Younger became a hit on Netflix earlier this year, while shows like Animal Kingdom, Blindspot, and The Royals have recently begun streaming and striking a cord as audiences rediscover past favorites.

In July 2025, there are even more great TV shows becoming available to stream on Netflix, perhaps the biggest drop of the year so far. Time-tested television titles like the CBS sitcom Mom,...

Since then, the cast and crew of the beloved Netflix drama have been hard at work to deliver a worthy follow-up to what we saw play out after things came to a head in the Season 6 finale. As of right now, the streamer hasn’t revealed a release date or even a window for when audiences can expect to catch up with their favorite characters in Season 7, but luckily, series star, Alexandra Breckenridge, stepped up to the plate.

Yesterday, the actress took to her Instagram story to share a message with her followers in a video that fully reflected her exhaustion with the filming process. Taking a break from the grueling production schedule, Breckenridge addressed fans and said,

Virgin River season 7 might be coming sooner than we thought
Image
Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge, who stars as Mel in the Netflix series, just teased a huge release update about Virgin River season 7. We might not have to wait nearly as long for the new season as we thought.

After Virgin River season 6 hit Netflix in December 2024, we've been expecting a long wait between seasons. Earlier this year, we were bummed to find out, via Deadline, that Virgin River season 7 probably would not be released on Netflix in 2025. Instead, it was reported that Netflix would be holding the new season until 2026.

Well, on June 5, Breckenridge shared a video on her Instagram Stories from the set of Virgin River season 7. In the video, she asked fans to guess when they thought the new season would be released.

"I keep wondering if they're going to put the show out this year," Breckenridge said. "What do you guys think? Probably, right? I mean,...

Virgin River guest star teases potential return: 'We running this back?'
Image
We might be heading back to the past in Virgin River season 7, according to the latest post from season 6 guest star Callum Kerr. In the post, the actor seemed to hint that he could be coming back to the series for another guest appearance, but his tease also has us wondering if Netflix has finally made a decision about that long in-development prequel series.

Earlier this week, Kerr posted a photo of himself standing in front of a black background with Virgin River and Netflix written on it multiple times. He's all smiles, which seems to mirror the sentiment of his caption: "We running this back?" To further solidify the fact that he's teasing fans about his potential return, Kerr used the smirking emoji before tagging both the show and the streamer.

While some might take this post as confirmation that Kerr will reprise his role as the young version...

Ransom Canyon season 2 should be the easiest renewal decision for Netflix
Image
Following the release of Ransom Canyon on April 17, Netflix hasn't confirmed future plans for the series with a season 2 renewal. It's too early for the streamer to decide on the new show's fate right after the premiere, but lately, Netflix has been granting early renewals for second seasons of breakout shows like Nobody Wants This and Running Point. Well, this should be their next safe bet.

The day after Ransom Canyon premiered, the series debuted at the #1 spot on Netflix's daily top 10 most popular shows ranking in the United States, and it's sure to stay put for quite some time, as well as pick up additional high chart placements worldwide. Where Is Virgin River Filmed? Every Major Location Explained
Image
It's almost hard to believe that "Virgin River" is among the longest-running series on Netflix, having aired six seasons and been renewed for a seventh, which is likely arriving sometime later this calendar year. But while it may not be the flashiest show that the famed streamer airs, "Virgin River" is a stalwart romantic drama, adapted from the novels by author Robyn Carr. It offers fans plenty of soap-opera-style drama, focused on a vast ensemble beyond leading lady Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and her now-husband Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson). From the start, the series has had plenty of storylines separate from how Mel and Jack meet and fall in love. But even if the subplots themselves don't always hit home, "Virgin River" is nothing short of a feast for the eyes when it comes to the show's locations.

If you've watched every episode, you know that this show loves to...

Virgin River star reveals how many seasons the Netflix series could have
Image
If you're a Virgin River fan, then it's no secret that you're waiting ever so impatiently for the series to make its way back to your watch list. The sixth season made its premiere on Netflix back in December 2024, and before that season was even released, the streaming service had already confirmed the beloved romantic drama would be back with the renewal of season 7.

Unfortunately, the wait for Virgin River season 7 might be a little longer than some fans might have hoped. When Netflix shared its upcoming series releases for 2025, Virgin River was left off that list, meaning season 7 could be delayed for release until 2026. But even before cameras have started rolling on the next season, we're already hearing positive updates about the next next season.

According to a report from What's on Netflix in January 2025, discussions had already begun about a potential eighth season of the hit series. The...

‘Virgin River’ Fans Split About Upcoming Prequel Series After Showrunner Patrick Smith Teases Plans
Image
Netflix‘s popular romantic drama Virgin River is preparing for a prequel series, but not all fans are on the same page following showrunner Patrick Smith’s teases about the upcoming spinoff. In an interview with Variety in December, Smith opened up about how the prequel will focus on Mel Monroe’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) parents, Sarah and Everett, played by Jessica Rothe and Callum Kerr, respectively. The actors made their debut in flashbacks in Season 6 and are now set to have their romance explored in a series of their own. The spinoff, Smith said, will focus “not just the romance of Sarah and Everett, but also the origins of Virgin River in the 1970s.” However, many fans are unsure whether a spinoff about Mel’s parents is necessary, with one Reddit user writing, “Why are they making a prequel based off Mel’s parents? She’s not even a likable character.

The Walking Dead’s 1 Harrowing Twist Was So Difficult For Andrew Lincoln to Digest, He Felt Rick Grimes’ Identity Crisis in Real Life
Image
AMC’s The Walking Dead explored the real issues that a group of survivors would face during a zombie apocalypse. Unlike shows like The Last of Us, where there is a larger story and journey to go on, Twd explored how humans fall at moments of chaos and how it gives rise to various forms of societies and groups who want to survive through hook or crook.

Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes is the protagonist of the show and he is often given morally ambiguous tasks that make him question his leadership, his morality, and more. However, the ultimate test came to him at the end of season 6, when his entire group is made to kneel in front of a baseball bat-wielding Negan Smith.
