You lose the ability to control your location and your odds of survival dramatically decrease once the lid of this mobile prison slams down on your head. But what if avoiding the trunk is no longer an option? What if you awaken to find yourself trapped in the boot of a stranger’s car as it speeds down the highway? Marc Schießer’s Trunk – Locked In explores this claustrophobic nightmare with an intimate story told from inside the rear compartment of a kidnapper’s vehicle. Despite its limiting premise, this German film unfolds at a breakneck pace as a kidnapped woman must use all the tools at her disposal before reaching a final destination that will mean certain death.

Trunk: Locked In is a harrowing and intense thriller where a young woman wakes up drugged and bound in the trunk of a car. The gripping film takes place primarily in the confined space of the trunk, with the protagonist, played by an excellent Sina Martens, using her phone and surroundings to piece together her dire situation. While the film starts strong, it loses tension with predictable twists in the second act, but its stomach-churning premise, strong performance, and tense first half are great.

Claustrophobic people beware, Trunk: Locked In visualizes your worst nightmare come true. The harrowing and frenetic German thriller has a young woman waking up in the boot of a car. Adrenaline Laced German Thriller Trunk Launches on Prime Video

Outside the Club is excited to announce the global release of their last feature, Marc Schießer’s pulsing thriller Trunk, as an Original feature on Prime Video.

Trunk is out now on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories around the world.

Trunk was written and directed by Marc Schießer, making his feature directorial debut after his work on the German series “Wishlist”. Schießer and his partner Tobias Lohf produced under their Outside the Club banner. Award-winning Berlin actress Sina Martens headlines the single location thriller, with Artjom Gilz, Luise Helm and Poal Cairo in other roles. Trunk made its world premiere at Filmfestival Cologne and went on to win the Best Thriller Feature at Nightmares Film Festival.
