Poal Cairo is a Dutch actor who is perhaps best known for his role as Dimitri 'Dozer' Verhoeven in the Netflix Original series FERRY: De Serie. With 20 years of experience, Poal has appeared many times on both the big and small screen in his birth country The Netherlands, as well as internationally.
His film credits include the German films Trunk (2024) and Rheingold (2022), the Belgian movie Zillion (2022). Dutch film credits include Helium, Dormis, Purgatorium Series such as FERRY: De Serie, Een Moord Kost Meer Levens, Het Gouden Uur, Van Der Valk, Baantjer: Het Begin and Celblok H are also part of his oeuvre.
In 2020, Poal had the honor of being nominated for Prison City Film Festival's 'Major Awards' in the category 'Best Supporting Actor' for his role as 'Freek' in short film On Air.
Outside of acting, Poal is a father and family man. In 2022 he launched his podcast 'Kloten Met Motors' that takes place in a garage in Amsterdam. In this podcast he invites actors and motorcycle enthusiasts to discuss their shared love for motorcycles (and working on them).
