Simón Brand began his career directing a music video for a local rock
band in Colombia when he was 17 years old. He has worked in several
music videos for Enrique Iglesias, Paulina Rubio, Ricky Martin,
Shakira, Thalía, Juanes, Jessica Simpson, Celia Cruz, Chayanne, and
others. He has received 2 Grammy nominations. He gained popularity in
Europe after directing music videos for artists such as Westlife, Steps
and Gabrielle. As a film director, his first work is "Unknown", with
Jim Caviezel, Greg Kinnear, and Joe Pantoliano. In 2008 he released his
second film "Paraíso Travel", which TIME magazine listed as one of the
best Latin American movies of the last decade. He is married to the
Colombian model Claudia Bahamón and has two children.
