Two of the most iconic members of the Justice League are Green Arrow and Batman. The latter is one of its founding members, whereas the former is one of the League's most consistent supporting players, having earned his membership through amazing feats, like defeating DC's version of the Hulk. However, the weight that each member holds on the team, and in the DC Universe overall, is far from equal.
It's no secret that Green Arrow and Batman aren't viewed on equal footing - in-universe, by other characters, or even by DC Comics fans. Both characters sport similar characteristics, yet Bruce Wayne still eclipses Oliver Queen in popularity. Not even Green Arrow's more recent television show - Arrow, which spawned more than a decade's worth of a CW universe - was enough to overtake Batman in popularity. There are key reasons why, no matter how much Green he brings in, Green...

Warning: Spoilers for Blood Hunters #5Whereas the United States has Captain America, England proudly proclaims Captain Britain as its paragon of justice. However, while Betsy Braddock still maintains the title, she renounced her allegiance to the United Kingdom during the Fall of Krakoa. Thankfully, Marvel just introduced her obvious successor.
Blood Hunters #5 by Erica Schultz, Chris Campana, and Robert Gill is the final installment in the Blood Hunters’ mission to drive back Varnae’s remaining vampiric forces from New York City. After Dagger is kidnapped by the Bloodcoven, Elsa Bloodstone, Hallows’ Eve, and White Widow launch a full offensive against the godly vampires.
When the fight begins to turn against the heroes’ favor, Bloodstone equips Hallows’ Eve’s Captain America mask. Magically, Elsa is given Steve Rogers’s powers and dons a new patriotic suit. Still bound to her Bloodgem, Elsa becomes an enchanted super soldier, and she loves the experience.

The Arrowverse is a vital part of TV history, one that helped bring the expansiveness, the interconnectedness, the weird, and the soapy parts of DC's comic book superhero stories to the small screen. It also featured DC superheroes that had never been adapted in live-action before (like Black Lightning and Batwoman), all the while giving the spotlight to lesser-known comic book villains such as Merlyn, Savitar, and the Eradicator.
Still, when the franchise featured big, iconic villains from the pages of DC Comics, it resulted in some truly thrilling superhero stories — like Reverse-Flash going from battling Flash to founding the Legion of Doom, or how "Superman & Lois" brought in and then reinvented Doomsday. Much like "The Flash" had time to introduce lesser-known rogues while also including some of the titular character's most famous opponents, "Superman & Lois" managed to pack in most of the Man of Steel's greatest enemies in...

For years, fans have hoped to see Captain Britain join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Many think Henry Cavill would be a great choice for the role, but so far, Kevin Feige hasn’t said anything about bringing Brian Braddock into the MCU.

It has become quite a common trend for the hero of a series to be more like a villain when it comes to their actions. There is no better example of this than Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen from Arrow. The character was a perfect example of a man who was as much in the wrong as he was in the right, having a sense of great morality but at the same time, making some very bad decisions.

Even though he played the role of the moral police within the Arrowverse, while simultaneously killing and not killing as he pleases, it is safe to say that his sense of good was rarely consistent. With this in mind, here are five of the worst things that Oliver has done, which make him worse than most villains in the Dcu.

The Arrowverse had many villains throughout its long run. Since the beginning, fans have always argued about which Arrowverse show produced the best antagonists. For some, The Flash had the best villains, with most of them being meta-humans with extraordinary powers. But others liked the grounded nature of Arrow's main villains.
Every Arrowverse villain wore a costume to either hide their identity or use their appearance as a tool to scare their enemies. Some villains dressed like criminals and lacked an extravagant costume. These were more commonly seen in Arrow. Shows like The Flash and Supergirl tended to lean toward comic accuracy more, going with more excessive looks. There are some antagonists whose appearance translates extremely well to live-action, all while the CW's costume designers were handed a smaller checkbook than the movies.

The Arrowverse had many great superheroes who received unanimous and deserved praise, but some supporting characters went under the radar and deserved to be highlighted. Almost every Arrowverse show had a titular lead surrounded by a team made up of friends and family. The exception to the format is Legends of Tomorrow as it was an ensemble show which spread its focus throughout its rotating cast of characters.
The Arrowverse's supporting greats include the likes of Candice Patton's Iris West-Allen, Carlos Valdez's Cisco Ramon, Chyler Leigh's Alex Danvers, David Ramsey's John Diggle and Emily Bett Rickards' Felicity Smoak. They were all staples throughout their respective series' runs, but they weren't alone in supporting their lead superhero. Countless unsung heroes had important roles to play in their respective Arrowverse shows, and some were unfairly sidelined for bigger characters in the crossovers.

While we only have a vague idea of what's to come in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, it's no secret that the Multiverse will be in play. As for the addition of Doom, it opens the door to us meeting characters we didn't expect to see in the MCU for a very long time.
In this feature, we're taking a look at the heroes, villains, and supporting players who should all be added to the MCU either before or in the next Avengers movies. Some have ties to Doom and others to the Multiverse; there are also a few surprises you might not expect!

In recent years, Marvel Studios has faced some challenges. Since the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, the studio has received mostly “mixed” reviews at best and has experienced several significant box office flops.
As a result, several planned projects have been shelved, with Bob Iger announcing that the studio will be scaling back its creative output in the coming years.
British fans have long been asking for content centered around UK-based characters, as some of the most iconic figures in the comics hail from across the pond. While we did get Secret Invasion, which took place in Europe last summer, the show was (in my opinion) barely watchable and hasn’t been well-received.
There were rumors that Marvel Studios was developing an MI13/Excalibur series, but those rumors have since fizzled out.

Amidst a slew of projects in the MCU’s pipeline, with ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ being the sole 2024 release, there’s been a shift in focus towards quality over quantity, as announced by Iger previously. However, recent rumors suggest otherwise, indicating a multitude of projects currently in development.
Among these projects is a series centered around Captain Britain, potentially replacing the previously rumored MI13 show.
The inclusion of Captain Britain in the MCU isn’t a recent development, with rumors dating as far back as 2018. For the uninitiated, Captain Britain, alter ego of Brian Braddock, transcends being merely a British counterpart to Captain America. Introduced in 1976, his character is imbued with mystical powers by Merlyn, blending elements of a superhero with those of a mystical guardian. Often, his adventures traverse magical realms, offering a captivating layer to the MCU’s narrative landscape.

For those not in the loop, Captain Britain, aka Brian Braddock, isn’t just a British version of Captain America. Introduced in 1976, this character wields magical powers granted by Merlyn, making him a unique blend of superhero and mystical protector. His stories often intertwine with magical realms, adding a rich layer to his character that could bring a fresh twist to the MCU.

Small towns hide secrets. They’re typically really good at it too because the smaller the town it seems the darker the secret they are trying to hide. If you grew up in a tiny Midwest town like I did you would know this to be gospel. Southern noir or Southern Gothic is a special sort of genre that when done right shines a sinister light on those secrets. Add some good old good vs evil to the mix and the supernatural and you’ve got something special. In the case of todays series you had the best of all of these mixed into a twisted, beautiful, epic masterpiece that came happened to be co-launched by a master of horror named Sam Raimi and a gent more known for solving mysteries than writing them… a Hardy Boy himself Shaun Cassidy. The show is one of my favorite TV series of all time,...

The Bat-Cave is one of the most iconic parts of Batman's comic lore, but Green Arrow also has his own version. Stargirl: The Lost Children #2 features the Arrow-Cave and shows an interesting difference between both heroes' decorating habits. While Batman keeps trophies from his past cases and uniforms of the Bat-Family on display, Green Arrow features life-size models of friends - and foes.
Green Arrow's hideout, the Arrowcave (Arrow Cave/Arrow-Cave), made its debut in 1941, within the pages of More Fun Comics #73 by Jerry Siegel, Gardner Fox, Mort Weisinger, George Papp, Bernard Baily, Howard Sherman, Paul Norris, Ed Moore, and Chad Grothkopf. Like Batman, this iteration was described early on as just an underground tunnel connected to Oliver Queen's apartment - providing access to the Arrowplane, Green Arrow and Speedy's car. This space would also be referred to as the Bunker. Later iterations of both Batman and Green Arrow's hideouts were developed into full caves.

With the DC Universe finally seeming to get its act together under the leadership of James Gunn, fans have begun to make comparisons to the company's already successful live-action universe. The Arrowverse was lightning in a bottle for DC, capturing the interest of casual and dedicated fans alike, even without the initial use of iconic characters like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
The success of the Arrowverse came initially with strong storytelling, with shows like Arrow and The Flash pulling off captivating "mystery box" storylines, where the identity of each season's main villain was kept hidden until a shocking reveal. This set a precedent for the franchise's shows in the future, as they would play off the viewers' knowledge of the comics and subvert their expectations.

Dark Crisis: Worlds Without A Justice League - Green Arrow #1 presents Oliver Queen and his allies as the DC Universe's new family team.
One of DC's oldest traditions is having its heroes develop, grow and tend to teams that join them in their crime-fighting crusades. And so we arrive at the mid point of Arrow’s third season, a point where the show usually gives us a cliffhanger episode to tie us over to the festive period and into the new year (Happy New Year) until the series comes back on at the end of January. Well this series has certainly given us one hell of an episode to think about until January 21 (the gap feels a little too long at this point, which goes to show how strong of a impression this episode has left with me) when we will see what happens next.

Plot:
After finding out that Malcolm Meryln is still alive and hiding in Starling City, Team Arrow come to believe that the Dark Archer is actually Sara’s killer. But is he really?
Verdict:
Okay, this is more like it. After the first few episodes of this season, which did not have any real kind of forward momentum to them (I certainly did not feel any kind of sense as to where the show was going with this season’s arc or what that arc was supposed to be before this instalment), this episode finally kicks it up a notch and delves back into two of Arrow’s stronger story-lines. That being Malcolm Merlyn, while the other is the League of Assassin’s (yes I know they are both linked too, which is also a good thing).
I will say though,...

A poster on Reddit has apparently dropped a character breakdown for iconic DC villain Ra's al Ghul in the upcoming new season of The CW's "Arrow". The casting breakdown is said to have come from the upcoming fourth episode of the new season, 'The Magician,' and discusses the show's take on the character.
Name dropped numerous times during the second season, Ra's al Ghul is expected to serve as the main villain of the upcoming third season following in the tracks of previous 'Big Bads' like Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Deathstroke (Manu Bennett). Here's the description:
"Ra's al Ghul. Male, 40s-50s. Open ethnicity. Accent preferred. An iconic villain from the pages of DC Comics. Leader of the League of Assassins. Regal, mysterious, and of a bygone era. Proud and unforgiving. Ra's is a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history. He carries the wisdom of the ages,...
