R.J. is a motion picture editor and director who specializes in scripted, character-driven features. He loves engaging stories in any genre, from light-hearted comedies to intense performance-driven dramas.
A graduate of the USC School of Cinema and Television, he's had 15+ years of experience working on a variety of projects including feature films, short films, commercials, web content, animated projects, pitches, and look books. A tech-savvy student of story and character, he loves to guide, encourage, and collaborate with directors, producers, and filmmakers towards achieving the finest possible cinematic work.
When not working in the editing room, I can be found hiking trails around Los Angeles or out whale watching or simply enjoying time with my wife and young daughter.
