Meeting, Met Tetsuo Hamuro in Irvine, CA in summer of 1996 Tetsuo Hamuro and his daughter visited Irvine, CA in 1996 with a group of young swimmers from Japan. They were working out with the NOVA Swim Team. I asked his daughter if her father was a swimmer. She told me that he won the gold medal for Japan in 1936 when he was 15 years old. He gave me a photograph of his Olympic gold medal which was on display in a museum in Japan.
