Tony Bracy is an award-winning writer, producer, and director from South Central Los Angeles whose spirit and imagination weren't confined by the dangers of growing up in an undeserved community. He penned his first musical play in the eighth grade, and with that, the fire was lit. He has yet to put down his pen over forty years later.
Tony has dedicated countless hours of his time speaking to, inspiring, and mentoring kids in the arts and in life. He worked as the resident stage manager with Amazing Grace Conservatory, a youth performing arts school in South Central for twenty years. He also donated his talents to The South Bay Conservatory, Color Your Dream Academy, and the Institute of Young Black Leadership.
In 2020, he began Brace Yourself, Inc. a non-profit media arts company pairing young artists with experienced professionals in the media arts to help make their vision a reality. Tony's goal is to help create works that edify, educate, and entertain people by touching their souls and uplifting their spirits. Brace Yourself! films have won awards at national and international film festivals and produced works that were integrated into college and university courses as well as featured in national and worldwide television broadcasts.
Tony's life's purpose was revealed to him in an inspirational moment of clarity in 1990. From that moment, he has risen from the ashes to become an amazing writer and someone that is a shining example of what purpose, faith, and love can achieve.
Writing is not just what He does-it is who he is. Tony always says, "I write when no one is watching, when no one is reading, and when no one is paying. Writing is the expression of my purpose, polished through years of transforming an overactive imagination into stories and messages that provoke thought into action."

Tony is an entrepreneurial self-starter who brings vision, curiosity, and problem-solving to every stage of the writing and production process. From concept to completion, he's collaborated directly with creative professionals across all mediums-whether bringing scripts to the screen, words to the stage, or ideas to the market.
As a communicator and public speaker, Bracy is skilled at providing concise, constructive feedback and recognizing the "note behind the notes," particularly when projects need to be rewritten, reorganized, or revitalized for maximum impact. He has hosted UCLA's Graduation Ceremony, performed stand-up comedy on national television, and is winning awards as a screenwriter and filmmaker-proving his expertise in storytelling, in all its forms.
Tony Bracy is a production enthusiast who believes that nothing is impossible with the right team and attitude. His eclectic writing background-spanning technical, corporate, marketing, television, and film-equips him with a unique skill set that allows Bracy to serve diverse brands and genres in a way that is both distinctive and deeply supportive.
