Speaking with Screen Rant at the Writer's Guild of America awards, Fox explained that For Good will expand upon the second act of the original Broadway musical, which is considered by some to be less exciting than act one. The series, which is in development and has not yet been greenlit, will follow Trina as she returns to her old stomping grounds to teach students at the fictional Los Angeles performing arts high school. Exclusive: The Victorious universe is eying further expansion with a second spinoff series, Hollywood Arts (working title). Starring Daniella Monet, who will reprise her role as Trina Vega, the multi-camera comedy is in fast-track development at Nickelodeon, with early casting getting underway, sources tell Deadline.

Produced by Nickelodeon, Hollywood Arts follows Trina returning to her old stomping grounds as the newest teacher at Hollywood’s most elite performing arts school.

Monet serves as an executive producer alongside writers/executive producers Jake Farrow — who was a writer-producer on both Victorious and offshoot Sam & Cat and also voiced Robbie’s puppet Rex Powers on Victorious — and Samantha Martin (Nick’s Henry Danger and The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder).

Victorious creator Dan Schneider, who parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018, has no involvement in the spinoff. His Nick tenure has been under scrutiny, including in the docuseries Quiet On Set whose producers he is suing for defamation.

There are many actors who get jobs that fit them like a glove. Although a surprising cast choice, Ariana Grande turned out to be one of the best things in Wicked, and her commitment to the project is undeniable.

Following the film's release on Nov. 22, Wicked has enchanted the world. Jon M. Chu's adaptation of the Broadway musical has been very successful, not just commercially but also critically, and scored several important award nominations. On top of that, Wicked has scored a huge milestone at the box office: it beat Dune: Part Two and became the fifth highest-grossing film of 2024, per The Numbers.

Chu's musical "Wizard of Oz" riff "Wicked," based on the pop-u-lar Broadway musical by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman, wasn't terribly well-reviewed in the pages of /Film, cited by this author as being a mushy mess, led by two weirdly dispassionate lead performances from Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. The review pondered why Chu, who ordinarily can make exciting, energetic musicals like "Step Up 3D" and "In the Heights," decided to let himself be upstaged by busy production design and dull, eternally retreaded fantasy mythology.

My review, however, is certainly the outlier on "Wicked." A sentimental man indeed, Jeff Goldblum has announced a new jazz album with The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. Titled Still Blooming, the project is set for release on April 25th. The actor and instrumentalist has teased the LP by sharing his take on “The Best Is Yet to Come,” which features Scarlett Johansson; stream it below.
