Daniel Zagayer is a distinguished film director and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. A graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, he earned his degree in 2012. With a discerning eye for comedy, he has collaborated with prominent brands such as Funny or Die, Yahoo!, and Comedy Central. Additionally, he is a proficient sketch writer and improv comedian, having studied at the Upright Citizens Brigade in Hollywood.
His first feature screenplay, "Poker," was awarded Best Screenplay and garnered a scholarship to the USC Screenwriting program. Daniel has produced and directed numerous award-winning short films, showcasing his creativity and versatility as a director. As a cinematographer, he has worked with major networks including Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, Nat Geo, and History Channel, as well as HBO, Hulu, and Netflix, filming in over 50 countries globally.
Daniel's directing debut for television, "Hustlers, Gamblers, and Crooks," is slated for a second season and streaming on Discovery + and MAX. His unique combination of classic film studies, comedy, and documentary filmmaking has shaped him into a dynamic and versatile director dedicated to mastering the craft of storytelling through cinema.
