Frank was graduated from Yale, with a major of history of art/sociology. He subsequently went to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA)in London. He became a Naval officer for three years, then returned to show business with stage appearances in San Francisco in 1971, and 13 roles in TV and film (See Cisco Pike) before becoming a journalist. Today he is a city councilman in Santa Barbara, CA.
