Et Obsessions: '2 Dope Queens' Podcast, 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2,' 'Second Wives Club,' and 'Sense8'
John Michael Higgins, Andrea Martin, Horatio Sanz, Adam Campbell, Nicole Richie, and Briga Heelan in Great News (2017)
Here at Et, we're obsessed with a lot of things -- and for the week of May 1 to May 7, this is what we're most excited about:

Why We're Obsessed With '2 Dope Queens'

Just over a year ago, Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson premiered their podcast, 2 Dope Queens -- shaking up the comedic podcast world with a show that is full of "black girl magic." If you're not listening to this already, you need to start now (it’s a good laugh, we promise). The show -- now in its third season -- is as unapologetic as its hosts, combining live stand-up and intimate conversations between the two queens off-stage. The hour-long episodes are taped live weekly at Union Hall in Brooklyn, New York, where the two are joined by special guests including Nore Davis, Aparna Nancherla, and more recently, Gabrielle Union, with season three kicking off with Jon Hamm. And if you...

Producer of Four-Decade-Long Emmanuelle Franchise Dead at 72
'Emmanuelle' movies producer Alain Siritzky dead at 72 (photo: Sylvia Kristel in 'Emmanuelle' 1974) Emmanuelle franchise producer Alain Siritzky died after what has been described as "a short illness" on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at a Paris hospital. Siritzky, whose credits include dozens of Emmanuelle movies and direct-to-video efforts, several of which starring Sylvia Kristel in the title role, was 72. Ironically, Alain Siritzky didn't produce the original, epoch-making 1974 Emmanuelle. He became involved in that Yves Rousset-Rouard production via his Parafrance Films, which distributed Emmanuelle in France. 'Emmanuelle': 1974 movie sensation A couple of years after the release of Deep Throat and The Devil in Miss Jones (not to mention Boys in the Sand and Eyes of a Stranger), and the year after Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider sparked a furor by having simulated sex in Bernardo Bertolucci's Last Tango in Paris, the 1974 French release Emmanuelle still managed to become a worldwide cause célèbre.

Michael Dudikoff and Tadashi Yamashita in American Warrior (1985)
Joey Lawrence, Wesley Snipes And Michael Dudikoff Unite For 'Havana Heat,' Strangest Headline Today
Michael Dudikoff and Tadashi Yamashita in American Warrior (1985)
I'm not sure I can handle the awesome that is the just-announced "Havana Heat." Joey Lawrence (whoa!), Wesley Snipes (always bet on black...) and Michael Dudikoff (the one and only American Ninja) will come together (finally!) to star in the indie action flick, which Dean Hamilton will direct. The story revolves around an undercover Homeland Security agent who is murdered in Havana, Cuba.

It doesn't matter, really. Anything that brings this trio together on screen is fine with me. I haven't seen Lawrence in a long time, but who can forget "Blossom"? He also stars in the new ABC comedy "Melissa & Joey" with former "Clarissa Explains It All" star Melissa Joan Hart which launched this week. Snipes has been doing a lot of direct-to-video work in recent years, though he turned in a strong performance in last year's cop drama "Brooklyn's Finest." Dudikoff has been off the acting grid since...

Well, the good news for Wesley Snipes fans is that he's back in the acting game, signing up to apear in Havana Heat, which will start shooting in November. The bad news is it's from the director of Blonde and Blonder, Dean Hamilton, and sounds a little bit like it's destined to go straight to DVD.Apparently the story centres on a Homeland Security agent who is murdered while undercover in Havana, and the investigation which follows that death. It will star Joseph Lawrence (er, Urban Legends: Final Cut), Michael Dudikoff, mixed martial artist Heath Herring, Zulay Henao (Fighting), Lorena Rincon, Raul Julia Jr. (loved your old man!) and Nicolas Brown (Kites). The film's due out next summer in a cinema (?) near you.
