Ann Hamilton was born in Northern California and moved to Louisiana when she was 5, so she considers herself a transplanted Southerner as well as a Californian. Her first major acting role was as a contract player on Guiding Light. Other on-screen acting roles include Magic Mike XXL, A&E's Roots, Steven Soderbergh's Schizopolis, and numerous television shows. She has been on camera in dozens of television commercials and also works as a voice-over artist. She co-wrote, produced, and acted in the award-winning short Plot, directed by her husband Jeremy Folmer. That project instigated the desire to collaborate on another project, which became the award-winning short film Consider the Sparrow. Up next, she has a recurring role as Becky Witmer in the upcoming television show Cross.
