One of this year’s funniest comedies, Friendship, is available to rent or purchase on Digital! You can rent the Tim Robinson-led film for $19.99 or buy the feature digitally for $24.99 on Prime Video, Apple TV, and other video-on-demand platforms. If physical media is your poison, you can pre-purchase the movie on Blu-ray and DVD at participating retailers. The physical version of Friendship does not have a release date, but A24 should let us know when it’s coming to shelves soon.
Written and directed by Andrew DeYoung, the film stars Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) in the story of a suburban dad (Robinson) who becomes hellbent on being BFFs with his charismatic new neighbor (Rudd). In his review, Chris Bumbray wrote that the film is, in addition to being very funny, “surprisingly nuanced about how hard it is to make friends as an adult male.

Forming meaningful platonic relationships can become complicated as we age, and Andrew DeYoung's directorial debut explored this to cringeworthy yet hilarious effect. With the signature humor of Tim Robinson and the always reliable assistance of Paul Rudd, their new A24 film became one of the best-reviewed comedies on Rotten Tomatoes this year and now, if you missed the opportunity to catch the film in theaters, you have the opportunity to experience the second-hand embarrassment from the comfort of your own home.
Friendship is now available on digital platforms to rent for $19.99 or to own for $24.99. Released by A24, the film enjoyed a pretty solid box office run that began as a limited engagement before going wide at the end of May. The film grossed $15.7 million, not bad for a movie that opened to a mere $444,759 and only played in 1,293 theaters at the widest point of its release. It's not every day that we get to be excited about a new animated show, but now Nickelodeon is giving us just that. The network is preparing to release Wylde Pak, an exciting new series that centers around two kids learning to coexist in a shared reality they didn't imagine for themselves. The series' look is distinct and exciting enough, but Collider is thrilled to exclusively reveal another element of the upcoming 2D-animated show that will be a standout: its soundtrack. This is best illustrated with the extended theme song, which you can check out in this article.
Wylde Pak's musical identity was developed by Lionchld, a songwriting trio that has collaborated with world-famous artists such as Britney Spears, Calvin Harris, Girls Generation, Chris Brown, Keke Palmer, Bebe Rexha, and Anitta. Limited opening per screen averages remain challenged even as the studio wide release landscape surges, but there’s a promising new entrant this week in Friendship, the A24 comedy opening on six screens.
The directorial debut of writer-director Andrew DeYoung stars I Think You Should Leave comedian Tim Robinson in his first major on-screen appearance. Early screenings in New York and L.A. have sold out, along with thousands of hats reading ‘Male Friendship’, the latest merch to hit the distributor’s shopping vertical and sell out. The former SNL performer and writer’s cringey cult hit has had three seasons on Netflix.
Friendship, which premiered at SXSW, is at 92% with critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Deadline’s review calls it a hilarious and “anxiety-inducing dark bromance” where suburban dad Craig (Robinson) falls hard for his charismatic new neighbor (Paul Rudd), but Craig’s attempts to make an adult male friend...

Friendship, an upcoming A24 comedy starring Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd, is now regarded as one of the best films of the year thus far. The film is getting a limited theatrical release, but it sounds like audiences should do whatever is necessary to catch Andrew DeYoung's feature-length directorial debut that has the I Think You Should Leave star taking his unique comedic sensibilities to the big screen.
As of this writing, Friendship has a 92% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 61 reviews. If it stays around that number, it will be a Top 15-rated film on the review aggregate website for 2025. The critic consensus reads, "Tim Robinson expands his exquisitely painful cringe comedy style to feature length with seamless results in Friendship, a toxic bromance that'll make audiences laugh and wince in equal measure." If you know Adam Scott through his work in the excellent science fiction thriller series "Severance" from Apple TV+, it's understandable that you may be a little taken aback that Scott's most consistent and best turns have come in comedy. "Severance" does have some black comedy elements to its workplace satire, in which a group of people have gone through the eponymous process of severance, in which they have an "innie" who works at a strange and mysterious multinational conglomerate and an "outie" who lives a life outside of work and has no idea what their innie does during the day (and vice versa for the innies knowing nothing about their outies). But that show is largely a dark thriller in which the main characters struggle to regain their independence while being controlled by the enigmatic people who run Lumon Industries.

The new sitcom Running Point, which premieres on Netflix today, has several creators. Elaine Ko spent years writing Modern Family. Ike Barinholtz is a prolific character actor on everything from Blockers to The White House Plumbers, not to mention a Celebrity Jeopardy! champion. David Stassen is a writer and director whose credits include History of the World: Part II. But the fourth creator — Mindy Kaling — is the only one who’s parlayed her work writing on and co-starring in The Office into becoming a brand. Now, she’s the mogul behind Never Have I Ever, The Sex Lives of College Girls and The Mindy Project. She’s the social media maven with a signature swimsuit line; and if she hasn’t quite reached mononym status yet, the brand-new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame gets her just a little closer.

This post contains spoilers from the first episode of Netflix's Running Point.
Ready for some slam-dunk laughs? Netflix's new original comedy series Running Point, from none other than Mindy Kaling, finally made its premiere on Feb. 27, and it's going to be tough to beat as the funniest comedy series of 2025. Kate Hudson makes an easy lay-up in her first foray into comedy television, finding a comfortable home in Kaling's witty writing.
Running Point takes a play from the real-life experience of Los Angeles Lakers president Jeanie Buss, but Kaling and her co-showrunners Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen turn the realistic setup up a notch into a larger-than-life comedy world. Isla Gordon (Hudson) unexpectedly takes over as president of her family's business, the successful Los Angeles Waves basketball team.
Isla hikes an uphill battle (in heels!) to be taken seriously amid doubts from her brothers, the board, the team, and the unrelenting public.

JoBlo’s own Chris Bumbray had the chance to watch the comedy Friendship at the Toronto International Film Festival last year – and he loved it, giving it an 8/10 review that you can read at This Link. We often talk about how hard it is to forge new friendships as we get older. Our routines lock us into specific spaces where meeting new people and trying new things is hard. With that being said, have you ever met someone who's a little too eager to be friends, or maybe even uncomfortably overzealous? You hit it off, hang out, and as you get to know them, alarm bells go off. Andrew DeYoungs new film Friendship takes this premise, turns it up to the highest degree, and utilizes cringe connoisseur Tim Robinson to take it as far as possible.
The film banks on several hilarious scenarios that play much like a full-length sketch from Robinson's acclaimed Netflix show, I Think You Should Leave, but there are also some intelligent epiphanies sprinkled throughout Friendship. In between, DeYoung lets his main character run amok and burn everything down.

Actors Michaela Watkins and Dan Bakkedahl reminisce about the filming of their new show Dinner with the Parents in their new uInterview.
Dinner with the Parents follows the escapades of two Langer brothers in their twenties who regularly attend dinner at their parents’ house – the family gathers every week for dinner, only to find themselves filled with remorse afterward. The show amusingly portrays their weekly family gatherings’ chaotic and disastrous nature.
“Dan makes me spit-take, genuinely,” Watkins told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “I just don’t see it coming, and he knocks me sideways with comedy. I mean, I laugh a lot. I was watching the episodes, and I was going, ‘Okay, it’s not just me.’ My husband and I were just cracking up.”
She told Bakkedahl, “I remember the episodes where you had the hot wings, and you’re not feeling well and sweating, and you’re about to throw up.

American TV bosses obviously didn’t learn many lessons from “Episodes,” the Showtime/BBC co-production which brilliantly skewered the habit of adapting British sitcoms, and removing all nuances, subtleties, and idiosyncrasies in the process. In the 13 years since its premiere, there’s been numerous failed pilots (“Spy”), ratings disasters (“Free Agents”), and entire series considered unfit for public consumption (“Us and Them”) which originated across the pond. Now the most singular UK comedy of the 2010s is going transatlantic.
The BAFTA-nominated “Friday Night Dinner” — which served up 37 episodes from 2011-2020 —stemmed from creator Robert Popper’s real-life secular Jewish family and their weekly Shabbat meals, explaining why everything from its suburban London home to its lovable oddballs feels so wonderfully specific. Disappointingly, Amazon Freevee’s “Dinner with the Parents” is as generic as its title.
The 10-part series on Freevee does attempt to retain some of the original’s quirks.

While Ghosts fans waited a long time for Season 3’s arrival, they’ll have to wait a little longer as the ongoing season is temporarily sidelined due to March Madness. Fans of the CBS sitcom about a couple sharing an inherited estate with an eclectic mix of spirits will have to stand by as the show takes a brief hiatus for the annual basketball tournament which pushes Ghosts‘ Season 3 return to April 4. In other words, there’s no new episode until the new month, so fans will be waiting a little while to enjoy the sixth episode, “Hello, Brother.” (Credit: Bertrand Calmeau/CBS) The installment will air in Ghosts‘ regular timeslot on Thursdays when Season 3 picks back up on April 4th, and the episode will see Trevor’s (Asher Grodman) brother, Jeremy (guest star Jon Glaser), check into Woodstone’s B&b after discovering a loophole in the Woodstone Rewards Points program.

Supporting characters can often steal the show with their hilarious and wacky personalities, like Jeremy Jamm in Parks and Recreation and Creed Bratton in The Office. Characters like Craig Feldspar in Malcolm in the Middle and Mike Hannigan in Friends bring light-hearted comedic relief and add depth to the show. Dennis Duffy in 30 Rock and Doug Judy in Brooklyn Nine-Nine contribute to the show's humor and have fascinating and complex backstories.
The best sitcoms of all time have become known for their ensemble casts and supporting characters, and there are often occasions when the latter are more entertaining than the former. Character development is essential for any story, and as an audience learns about a character over time, it makes them more relatable and entertaining. Jonathan Glazer’s first directed title in 10 years, The Zone of Interest, shows an aspect of the Holocaust never seen, that from the Pov of the Nazis who lived outside the Auschwitz camp, building dream lives of their own.
The protagonists living a bucolic life are the commandant of Auschwitz, Rudolf Höss, and his wife Hedwig.
Asked by a reporter Saturday the day after the film had its work premiere at Cannes how he hopes Zone of Interest addresses the current problem of the resurgence of the far-right across Europe and the U.S. and Holocaust nihilism, Glazer answered, “I hope the film that we made, what it’s trying to do is to talk to the capacity within each of us for violence.”
“Wherever you’re from, it’s to try and show these people as people, not as monsters; that was an important thing to do,” said the filmmaker.

Tina Belcher (Dan Mintz) is perpetually stuck on the cusp of teenhood. After all, she's a character on an animated sitcom, which means she doesn't get to age. The eldest daughter of Bob (H. John Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) is desperately hormonal and fascinated by boys and butts (and especially boys' butts). She is ready to be a woman, but she isn't ready to give up her vivid imagination. She's eager to grow up but content to sink back into childhood. In short, she's a bundle of contradictions, and that's why we love her.
Over the years, "Bob's Burgers" has put Tina through the wringer. She's had her trials and tribulations, and she's occasionally gotten a taste of the grown-up freedom she desires. However, the pressures of being on a long-running sitcom mean she's doomed to continue learning the same lessons over and over. She's afraid of getting in trouble,...

Sam Fink has grown up. In Single Drunk Female Season 1, she struggled with staying sober and making amends. In Season 2, she's learning it's even harder to remain sober while navigating a new job, a new boyfriend, and moving out on her own.
In many ways, Sam wanted to be normal, but half the time, she knew she was not. She wanted to date someone who didn't have an addiction, but she knew she would still have to attend meetings, something her mom Carol still doesn't understand.
Even though Sam is more in charge of her recovery, she's still an alcoholic, and that's something that mother and daughter finally have to face. It's rough but a beautiful and emotional arc for both.
Both Brit and Felicia decided what they wanted in life, even if it hurt people. Brit went up against her family to finally conquer her dreams. Felicia had someone...
