Robosen has already released several automated and officially licensed Transformers toys. Now, everyone's favorite yellow Autobot and his original alternate mode is joining the lineup for a figure that's certain to "bug" collectors.
The new "Flagship Bumblebee Auto-Converting Robot" toy is based on the original Generation 1 Bumblebee -- namely, his appearance in the animated series The Transformers. Turning from a robot into a Volkswagen Beetle completely on his own, Bumblebee can convert, drive and generally move all on his own. Set to ship out during Summer 2025, this Robosen toy is much more than meets the eye and one of the best Bumblebee figures ever made.

While many of the Generation 1 characters in the original Transformers series went on to become fan-favorites, some of them were fairly overlooked. Thankfully, one underrated Autobot is getting a new rendition through a third-party toy company, and it comes in several colors.
The H64 Lincoln is a new transforming action figure for Trailbreaker by Newage Toys, and the main version recreates his classic design. However, different available repaints will also homage other Transformers from the franchise's history. While release details are still scarce, fans will definitely want to get their hands on at least one version of this overlooked G1 Autobot.

Quick Links Transformers in an 'X-Files' Comic? This Could Be So Much Better Than G.I. Joe
Even though 2023’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts turned out to be the biggest box office disappointment in the franchise, the single post-credit scene at the end of the movie teased that the iconic robots in disguise could see a crossover with another Hasbro property, G.I. Joe movies reprising their roles, but in an interview with Collider, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura even said, "Transformers will have more emotions and agency than ever before!"

The Transformers brand is no stranger to nostalgic offerings based on Generation 1, with numerous toys and collectibles based on the original iteration of the franchise still being made today. The Super 7 brand has continued this trend with multiple action figures, with the latest of these being based on the original version of the Decepticon leader.
Recreating his design from 1984's The Transformers, Super7's Megatron figure is an excellent representation of the robot known for ripping out his enemies' optics. Along with the figure itself, the old-school packaging even homages a specific episode of the cartoon. One of multiple releases from Super 7 based on the franchise, the toy is the way to cap off 40 years of Transformers.

The Transformers' 40th-anniversary celebrations in 2024 have mostly looked back at the nostalgic history of the franchise. Optimus Prime is consistently a part of these celebrations, as is the case with the newest retro collectible to portray the iconic Autobot leader.
The new "Super 7 Transformers Deluxe Wave One Optimus Prime" recreates the character's robot mode in a manner highly accurate to the Generation 1 cartoon. This extends to the packaging, which resembles an old-school VHS of an episode of The Transformers. Exclusive to Macy's, the figure is one of many Optimus Prime toys that are now rolling out for fans to collect.

Transformers One offers fans new insight into the beloved autobots and their planet Cybertron. Orion Pax and D-16 are best friends who dream of something more than working low-level jobs. When they, along with two new friends, Elita-1 and B-127, discover a dark truth about Cybertron, the fate of their world and their own futures is forever altered, leading to a split between them, with Orion Pax becoming Optimus Prime and D-16 becoming Megatron.

Many of the recurring faces on "The Simpsons" have the same voice: Harry Shearer. Alongside Hank Azaria, Shearer does more than double duty in playing the series' supporting cast. As a testament to his range, his roles run the gamut from nice guy Ned Flanders to milquetoast Principal Skinner (don't say Armin Tamzarian) to evil Mr. Charles Montgomery Burns, owner of the Springfield Nuclear Plant and Homer Simpson's boss.
Shearer is the definitive voice of Mr. Burns (he's been doing it for 30+ seasons), but he wasn't the first actor to voice the character. That would be the late Christopher Collins, who was briefly part of the "Simpsons" cast during its first season, which aired from 1989 to 1990. Collins voiced Burns in the following episodes: "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire," "Homer's Odyssey," "There's No Disgrace Like Home," and "The Telltale Head."
Shearer took over in the season 1 episode "Homer's Night Out.

1992's "X-Men" cartoon was the first time Marvel's Merry Mutants got a series all of their own, but was it the first time they appeared in animation? Not quite.
The team were guest stars on the early 1980s series "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends", as was their nemesis Magneto. A few years down the line, Marvel Productions decided to produce an "X-Men" cartoon themselves.
The resulting pilot was "Pryde of the X-Men". "Pryde" boasted animation from Japanese studio Toei ("Dragon Ball Z"), and so looked noticeably more detailed and dynamic than previous Marvel cartoons. Where it did overlap with those older cartoons was the voice cast: the late John Stephenson as Professor X, Michael Bell as Cyclops, Neil Ross as Nightcrawler, Dan Gilvezan as Colossus, and a young Kath Soucie as Kitty.

Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends debuted in 1981 on NBC's Saturday morning lineup, a fun, light-hearted, animated series which was reportedly developed as NBC's answer to ABC's successful Super Friends franchise. The show was initially created to feature Spider-Man (Dan Gilvezan), Iceman (Frank Welker), and the Human Torch. However, as was the case for a number of Marvel characters, the rights to the Human Torch had been sold off, with Universal owning the rights to the character at the time. So a new character with similar powers, Firestar (Kathy Garver), was created for the show. In all, 24 episodes aired, spanning three seasons, and all but one are available to stream on Disney+. That episode is "The Quest of the Red Skull."...

In 1984, a lot of laws about what was and wasn't allowed in children's TV programming began to loosen. Throughout the decade, more and more companies became incredibly brazen about including advertising content directly into their TV shows, transforming many shows into 30-minute commercials for toys. An '80s child would watch a show, knowing they could soon hound their parents to buy them the toy counterparts of their favorite characters. This branding became deeply insidious, and many children of the 1980s grew up with a deep and abiding nostalgia for their favorite toy ads. Artistry, character, writing, storytelling, and mythology were all distant, tertiary concerns during this era, and the bulk of animated shows from the '80s are deeply, deeply terrible as a result.

The 1980s Transformers film is still regarded to this day for its classic take on its many characters, but the sheer amount of those characters and the seemingly revolving door for them in the TV show was actually due to more than just creative decision-making. The DVD extras for the 1986 Transformers movie contain an interview with Flint Dille, the film's story consultant and writer for the cartoon itself. Dille recalls that the team had to use the film to change the lineup of characters based on forces beyond the control of the Transformers production team.
Amid all the new and strange Transformers characters coming and going, the production team all recall the difficulties of having to write out characters or rewrite entire scripts last minute in the middle of episodes or seasons where a particular story may not have even come to fruition yet. In the history of video games there have been a Lot of Transformers games; from the 1986 Japan-only Nes game Mystery of Convoy (later available in some countries via Nintendo’s Virtual Console) to the more recent Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark. And when it comes to video games Transformers titles are definitely a mixed bag – the last title I actualy found myself Really enjoying was 2010′s on-rails Wii shooter Transformers: Cybertron Adventures, which was based on the War For Cybertron comic and toy line rather than the cartoon.
Unbelievably, at least in the West, there hasn’t a video game based on the original G1 iteration of the franchise since the 1980s (not counting the mobile phone turned-based title) and the era of the Spectrum and Commodroe 64, making Transformers Devastation something of a big deal in the Transformers community. Plot:
In an alternate reality, the Justice League is a brutal force that the World fears and distrusts. So when the Jl are framed for a series of murders, no-one is exactly jumping to their defence and it is up to Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman to figure this out for themselves and ultimately save the day.
Verdict:
Now this is more like it.
After efforts like Justice League:War, Son of Batman and Batman vs Robin. Justice League: Gods and Monsters is a real breath of fresh air and a sign that DC Animation can be as good as they used to be, which was a long while ago.

So if you guys have been around here you know I love Transformers and fo those that don't know I Love Transformers. The toys, the cartoons, the movies...some of them. But one thing the movies did bring was some tie in video games that were not too bad opening the door for a series based on the Great War on Cybertron. Well now Activision with PlatinumGames is realeasing and new game and guys it's G1!
Transformers: Devastation is an all new cell shaded style game harking back to the Idw comic book style. It looks like transforming on the fly from robot to alt mode has returned which was one thing I loved about the previous games. As you play through the game you'll find ways to make your Autobot team stronger to take on threats from the evil Decepticons though I do agree with some of Megatron's points.

Nph should be an added incentive for his fans to pick up the game, even if they can't catch him singing and dancing as the wall-crawler in Broadway's upcoming Spider-Man musical. "Shattered Dimensions" is much less likely to show off the former "Doogie Howser,...

And Stan Lee will guide players through the storyline
Just in from Activision!
Activision Publishing, Inc. and Marvel Entertainment announced today that Neil Patrick Harris will reprise his role as Spider-Man in Activision’s upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, which is currently being showcased at San Diego Comic-Con. In the game, players traverse through four unique worlds from Spider-Man lore and take on the role of four distinctly different Spider-Men – Amazing, Ultimate, Noir and 2099 – which will be brought to life by Neil Patrick Harris along with Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes and Dan Gilvezan, respectively.
Additionally, legendary creator and comic book icon Stan Lee will guide players through the storyline of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions as the game’s narrator, and Emmy Award-winning composer Jim Dooley has created an original orchestral score for the game.
Each of the actors voicing Spider-Man in the game has portrayed the web-slinger in previous Spider-Man animated television series.

Like it or not, the Transformers motto “more than meets the eye” becomes a tad ironic when used in the theme song for the cartoon. The motto alludes to robots from another planet which take the form of familiar earthbound crafts like cars, jets, etc. but outside the show’s premise, the idea is just misleading. The series as a whole is incredibly simplistic in every way. The writing, the animation and the voice acting are incredibly formulaic and simple with little else to offer in terms of depth or beauty. Now, if you trust age old idioms about appearances, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For Transformers: Season Two, Volume One there can be only one interpretation of the intended beholden: a shelf prize for diehard fans. For anyone else this set is just an example of outdated cartoons offered for kitschy nostalgic purposes.

Oh sweet cartoon nostalgia! Simultaneously revealing things we never saw in our cartoons way back when and reminding us of the things we did but wish we hadn’t. The 25th Anniversary release of Transformers: The Complete First Season almost manages to drown out the bitter with the sweet, but there still remains a few glaring issues with our old friends the Autobots and their adventures on Earth. Virtually hitting the 6 hour marker with episodic content, the 16 chapters in the fight against Megatron and the Decepticons are a vividly colored blast from the past with a shiny new package, some meager extras and a big Autobot magnet.
Cybertron flourished with a peaceful technological utopia where the life forms known as the Autobots, a sentient race of machines, existed in harmony. Until Megatron came on the scene. Seceding from the rest of his Autobot kind, he launched a civil war...

I fully understand and empathize with the current crisis that your company is struggling through, but I feel I must warn you about another threat to the American auto industry: Transformers. These machines from outer space can transform into motor vehicles, and I think it's in your best interests to help me destroy them. Just think of how Gm and all vehicle sales would plummet after people are told that their Chevy Malibu may actually be an alien automaton. I've included a picture of Bumblebee, a Vw Beetle Transformer, as evidence.
DreamWorks & Paramount Pictures' Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen hits theaters June 24 in regular format & IMAX.
