WWE superstar Seth Rollins is joining NFL Network’s Good Morning Football and its syndicated sibling, Gmfb: Overtime, as a guest host this season.
Rollins has been a recurring guest on the morning show over the years and hosted during the 2024 season. The wrestler is set to make appearances alongside co-hosts Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Manti Te’o, and Sherree Burruss, who returns to cover the latest news and contribute to special segments.
Currently, Rollins holds the title of WWE World Heavyweight Champion and is a passionate Chicago Bears fan. Earlier this year, Rollins made an appearance at the NFL Draft, where he showed off his skills in front of cameras and audiences, making a pick for the Bears. Rollins has also subbed for Rich Eisen as a guest host.
Rollins joins Good Morning Football following some cast changes with the exit of Akbar Gbajabiamila after one season and Peter Schrager’s exit after nine.

YouTube is partially responsible for the rise of alternative streams that run adjacent to traditional sports broadcasts. Now, it’s bringing that type of programming to the first game of the 2025 NFL season.
As the hotly anticipated matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers approaches, YouTube has shared some more details related to its first-ever exclusive airing of a regular-season NFL game. In addition to the traditional broadcast, which will be streamed on the YouTube homepage and the official NFL channel — several alternative feeds will be available, including one hosted by megastar iShowSpeed.

YouTube is tweaking its game plan heading into its third season in business with the NFL.
The Google-owned video giant, which took over Sunday Ticket rights in 2023 in a multi-billion-dollar rights deal, is rolling out a month-by-month option for subscribing to the package.
The new option costs $85 a month. Returning subscribers who also have YouTube TV can sign up for the month-to-month plan for $115 a month, or $145 a month on YouTube. A full-season pass for the package, which delivers all Sunday afternoon games, costs $276.
On the product front, Sunday Ticket is also phasing in new local-national combinations in YouTube’s Multiview feature, which allows multiple games to be displayed within a single frame.
The subscription tweak comes ahead of a milestone on September 5, when YouTube will carry a global, free livestream of an NFL matchup in São Paulo, Brazil, between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

YouTube has an announcing team for its first NFL game, and more stories that may have passed you by this week.
That taste of Friday freedom in the air this morning is ever so tantalizing. The weekend ahead is hopefully full of promise, but at the very least, it offers a chance to look back and reflect on the week past. In the streaming world, the week’s news was dominated by the Thursday launches of ESPN’s new streamer and Fox One, and it feels like the rollout of those services has kicked off the fall TV season a little early.

You can’t believe everything you read on IMDb, especially in movie trivia sections. But every now and then, the fans get it right. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Naked Gun star Liam Neeson was asked to confirm this bit of Neeson minutiae: “He recalled his most embarrassing moment in acting as when he auditioned for the role of Fezzik, the giant in The Princess Bride. Director Rob Reiner had a look of disgust on his face when he realized that Neeson was only 6-foot-4”
“It’s very true,” confirmed Neeson.
What made the audition so humiliating? Blame Reiner, who barely gave Neeson the time of day. Instead, he turned to his casting director and said, “I asked for a giant.” Back to Neeson: “What height are you?”
Six-foot-four was Neeson’s response. Pretty tall for, say, a Cracked writer, but hardly giant status.
“Come on!” an exasperated Reiner told the casting director.

When it comes to the great Jerry Bruckheimer action films before the $1.49 billion-grossing success of Top Gun: Maverick, most of them are game for a sequel, including one to the 1995 Tony Scott-directed nuclear submarine thriller, Crimson Tide.
“We have a really good director-writer talking to the Navy right now about what’s going on under the water,” Bruckheimer said in an interview with Rich Eisen. ‘We have Denzel [Washington]. If we give him a good script, I think he’d do it.”
Disney had no further comment relating to the status of Crimson Tide or talent attached, the movie being a theatrical release from its adult Touchstone division.
“We had Quentin Tarantino and Robert Towne writing on that film,” said Bruckheimer about the original. “I don’t know if I’ll ever replicate that type of writing on a film.”

Before Alan Ritchson, fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels had been waiting some time for a book-accurate version of their favorite hero to debut on-screen. Tom Cruise's two Jack Reacher movies failed to deliver on that front, but when Alan Ritchson arrived in Prime Video's "Reacher" series in 2022, long-suffering fans were finally satiated.
Ritchson seemed born to play the role of a hulking former military policeman. At 6-foot 3-inches and 235 pounds, the actor was every bit the brute of the books, and whereas physique typically wouldn't necessarily be the most important aspect of a character (just look at Michael Keaton in his two Batman movies), with Reacher, it's a central aspect of the man's appeal and Mo.
Ritchson himself clearly took the responsibility of delivering on that front seriously. Prior to the debut of "Reacher," the actor actually put himself in the hospital trying to achieve the ideal weight.

With less than 10 minutes to go before Netflix’s fan extravaganza Tudum began streaming live from the Kia Forum on Saturday, the crowd inside the Inglewood arena was noticeably sparse and listless. More than half the seats remained empty, and those who were there weren’t buzzing with anticipation so much as they were politely hanging out. To boost everyone’s energy, a pre-show emcee turned up the music, commanded everyone to get out of their seats, and began shouting out some Netflix luminaries who were about to take the stage.
“The cast of ‘Outer Banks’ is here!” he said, to tepid applause. “The cast of ‘Stranger Things’ is here!” he continued, to moderate cheers. “Lady Gaga is here!” he concluded, and the audience, finally, began to roar.

Hollywood star Jon Hamm got brutally honest when asked about his Mad Men character, Don Draper, and it wasn’t the reflection that many may have expected. Hamm portrayed the role of the charismatic yet deeply troubled creative director at the Manhattan advertising firm, Sterling Cooper, in the AMC series.
While the series finale hinted at a more soothing and redemptive conclusion for Draper after a seven-season run, the actor doesn’t seem to believe things turned out well for him, as he suggested when asked where Don Draper might be years after the show’s conclusion.
Mad Men star Jon Hamm delivered a grim verdict on Don Draper’s fate
Playing the role of Don Draper in Mad Men, the acclaimed AMC series with a 94% critic score, Jon Hamm became acutely aware of what the character was truly capable of, as he confidently asserted in a previous appearance on The Rich Eisen Show.

ESPN pulled back the curtain on its long-awaited direct-to-consumer streaming service Tuesday, planning a fall launch at $29.99 per month, or $35.99 for a bundle that will include Disney+ and Hulu.
The service, which will be called ESPN, will live inside a completely redesigned ESPN app.
“As we explored options, we kept coming back to our four letters, ESPN,” said Jimmy Pitaro, who leads ESPN, during a press briefing in Disney’s New York office Tuesday morning, framing the decision as “simple, straightforward, clear.”
ESPN is also launching a promotional launch price of $29.99 for the bundle of all three services for the first 12 months. In connection with the launch, ESPN will rebrand ESPN+ as ESPN select, and will still cost $11.99.
The company is also offering an annual plan for $299.99, and a no-ads option (for Disney+ and Hulu) for $44.99 per month.

If you had asked Kit Harington about the Jon Snow spin-off right around the time when Game of Thrones was ending, you would have heard a hard no. He didn’t have it in him to star in another Got-based content at the time and he made it clear during an interview with Rich Eisen.
However, he later agreed to a Jon Snow spin-off, although he rarely spoke about it when it was in development.

Interestingly, he only decided to comment on it when he was sure that the spin-off had been shelved at HBO. While Harington didn’t give a clear reason why he agreed to the spin-off, his comments make it seem like he wasn’t entirely on board with the idea.

The acting genius of Kevin Costner knows no bounds, as evident from his John Dutton role in the Yellowstone universe. But while he may be one of the most respected actors in Hollywood, even his credibility cannot always guarantee box office success. He learned this the hard way when one of his $80 million projects crashed at the box office.
Kevin Costner in Yellowstone | Credits: Paramount+
Not only that, but it also earned the title of Worst Picture, serving as a startling reminder that he wasn’t exactly in Tom Cruise’s league when it came to big-budget blockbusters.
Kevin Costner’s passion project that bombed at the box-office
In Hollywood, many actors have taken on the challenge of both directing and starring in the same project. But while some manage to handle this effortlessly, for others, it becomes a major task, especially when they don’t want any help from others.

As Steve Sabol, late cofounder of NFL Films, puts it in this hour of NFL Icons, “We have a library of 100 million feet of football film dating back to 1894. The most thrilling footage in that library is Gale Sayers in the open field.” Watching those runs in this episode, you will wonder how Sayers ever got tackled. The man lived up to his early-career nickname of “The Kansas Comet,” says Rich Eisen, who narrates the series. “He had such a spectacular, albeit all-too-brief career,” Eisen points out, defending the legendary running back’s induction into the NFL Hall of Fame (he’s the youngest player ever voted in) even though he played only 68 games from 1965-71 before injuries ended his career. “All these decades later, his greatness is unquestioned.” But the great legacy lesson of Gale Sayers — who died in 2020 — remains his life’s impact. Specifically, his racial boundaries-breaking bond...

It's WrestleMania season, and everyone wants to be involved in the biggest match possible. Seth Rollinsknows who he would love to face at some point in the biggest WWE event of the year. During a recent interview with Rich Eisen, the WWE star mentioned how Cody Rhodeswould be his dream opponent for the event known as the Showcase of the Immortals. While the Superstars have faced each other at WrestleMania before, both characters have grown in the almost three years that have happened since the encounter. The storyline that would take place if the wrestlers faced each other again would be much different from what has been seen on television in the past. Rollins said:...

Howie Mandel is expressing remorse after surprising Bill Burr with an appearance by Billy Corgan during a recent episode of his Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast.
“I want to apologize,” Mandel said on the latest episode of the podcast, which he co-hosts with his daughter, Jackelyn Schultz. “I feel horrible. I’m sorry Bill, I’m sorry Billy … I legitimately thought I was doing something nice, I swear to you. I thought it was funny.”
To quickly recap, Corgan had been a guest on Mandel’s podcast back in November, when the Smashing Pumpkins frontman suggested that he and Burr could be half-brothers, based on their similar looks and his father’s romantic escapades as a traveling musician.
Mandel then had Burr on as a guest in January, and partway through the interview, he surprised the comedian by welcoming Corgan, who sat down right next to Burr. Upon seeing Corgan,...

Howie Mandel had a light-bulb moment after Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan appeared on his podcast and confessed that he might be comedian Bill Burr’s long-lost half-brother. Why not have Burr on as a guest, then surprise him with an out-of-nowhere Corgan appearance?
The Jerry Springer-inspired stunt didn’t sit well with Burr when he figured out what was going on. “You’re an asshole,” the comic told Mandel as Corgan made his way to the podcast set.
Corgan seemed mortified. “He didn’t tell you?” said the singer, looking even more uncomfortable than Burr. “He told me you were totally cool with me coming.”
“Can this be edited out?” Burr asked, not kidding.
“I can go,” Corgan offered.
“Fuck it,” said Burr before turning his irritation to Corgan for bringing up the dubious family connection in the first place. “Did you ever think the fact that I never told that story,...

Aside from their ages, their success in the entertainment industry, and their hairstyles (or lack thereof), there was a time when it looked like Billy Corgan and Bill Burr didn’t have much in common.
After all, one is a rock icon best known for his brooding anthems of adolescent angst, and the other a standup comedian who brilliantly gives voice to the complaints of middle age.
But now, the internet is abuzz with the rumor that Bill and Billy are brothers. And the rumor was started by none other than Corgan himself.

Bill Burr Calls Howie Mandel a “Hollywood Whore” After Billy Corgan Ambush During Podcast Appearance
Bill Burr actually wasn’t too thrilled with being ambushed by Billy Corgan on Howie Mandel’s podcast.
The actor and comedian made a recent appearance on an episode of the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, where the host surprised him with Billy Corgan, the Smashing Pumpkins guitarist who previously revealed that the pair might be related.
However, Burr shared on The Rich Eisen Show on Monday that it wasn’t a good surprise, as he doesn’t “like talking about [my stuff publicly].”
“Howie did what he did because he is a Hollywood whore and he doesn’t care what happens,” he added. “He could’ve said something and he just brings up all that weirdness.”
Back in November, Corgan stopped by Mandel’s podcast, where he recalled his stepmother once telling him: “Do you know who Bill Burr is?… Bill Burr might be one of the children that your father sired...

Everyone knows Harrison Ford has a bit of a reputation in Hollywood, and no, we aren’t talking about his exceptional skills as an actor. Watching him in interviews, some might come to the conclusion that the veteran actor is shy and reserved when it comes to promoting his films and that he might have a bit of social anxiety. Harrison Ford would beg to differ, but more on that later. For now, let’s focus on how much of a badass the man is.

True or false, Rich Eisen asked Ted McGinley on a recent episode of his eponymous talk show: “You actually had a beef with the nerds on the Revenge of the Nerds set at first, and it took you a few weeks to warm up to them.”

When you think of action heroes, names like Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone immediately spring to mind. But if we’re talking about taking action to the next level—Tom Cruise is in a league of his own. His portrayal of Ethan Hunt in the Mission: Impossible series has become the stuff of legend. Since 1996, the franchise has been a high-speed thrill ride, mixing espionage, high-octane chases, and gravity-defying stunts, all with Cruise at the wheel.

It’s been just over 25 years since the release of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, the movie that continued the adventures of Mike Myers’ cryogenically-frozen ‘60s superspy, while doing its part for the environmental movement by recycling 70 to 80 percent of the jokes from the first movie.
One of the more welcome additions to The Spy Who Shagged Me was Rob Lowe, who stepped in to play the younger version of Dr. Evil’s number two in command: Number 2.
When Lowe sat down for a recent interview with Rich Eisen, naturally his work in the Austin Powers sequel came up, and Lowe was surprisingly poetic when describing the process of working with one of cinema’s most revolting characters. Lowe told Eisen that showing up for work at the Spy Who Shagged Me set was the “polar opposite” of acting in another classic ‘90s comedy, Tommy Boy. While the...

Rich Eisen recently asked Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F star Judge Reinhold to verify an urban legend. Did John Candy keep a bathtub full of beer in his hotel room during the filming of the 1981 comedy Stripes because the movie was being made in a dry county in Kentucky?
“Correct,” Reinhold responded. “Very correct.”
Reinhold had to explain to Candy, “who was like the king of Molson,” what a dry county was. Apparently, there’s no such thing in Candy’s native Canada. “So when I first told him, ‘No, a dry county is a place in the United States where you can’t buy alcohol,’” Reinhold explained. “He was like, ‘Yeah, right.’”
Candy couldn’t wrap his Canuck brain around the concept. “What do you mean, the weather is dry? What are you talking about?’”
“I said, ‘You can’t buy alcohol in this county.’”
Candy was still baffled.

Craig Kilborn had a successful run as host of The Late Late Show, but left in 2004 due to feeling unfulfilled with late-night TV. Kilborn's departure wasn't due to conflict, but a desire to leave the repetitive late-night format; he enjoyed retirement with wine and good food. Kilborn now hosts a comedy podcast, The Life Gorgeous, showcasing his wit and vast knowledge in a freewheeling, ever-changing format.
Craig Kilborn is a Renaissance man when it comes to his body of work, appearing as a sports commentator, comedian, actor, and host of The Late Late Show. Kilborn's first introduction to national audiences came when he appeared as an anchor on ESPN's SportsCenter, alongside hosts Rich Eisen, Keith Olbermann, and Dan Patrick, where he introduced his deadpan style of comedy and rapid-fire wit to morning audiences. Not content with sports talk, Kilborn moved onto late-night TV, taking over the brand new The Daily Show as host.

Part of what makes the world of The Simpsons so rich is its many fictional brand names — from Krusty Burger, to Lard Lad donuts, to Malk, which is somehow an actual product now (how much “Vitamin R” it contains is unclear).
Speaking of fake beverages that became real, Springfield’s favorite beer, Duff, is so iconic that an upstart German brewery actually tempted the wrath of Fox’s lawyers by producing its own, unauthorized Duff beer for years. Fox later signed off on a Chilean take on Duff purely to combat “fake versions” of Homer’s go-to beer. Sadly it wasn’t popular enough to justify building a real-life Duff Gardens or employing a full-time gyrating mascot.
But one aspect of Duff that has proven to be surprisingly controversial is its name. That’s because one rock star is claiming credit for having inspired the cartoon booze: Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan.
