Robert Deacon, or "Deacon," as his friends call him, was born in Waltham, Massachusetts and grew up in nearby Newton. He graduated high school and joined the Marines in 1960. After his four-year tenure, he went to work for his father, becoming top salesman in the printing and reprographics business. He later started his own company in direct mail and advertising. Eventually, Deacon moved to South Florida where he had visited many times before. Robert began pursuing his acting career there and fell in love with the film and television industry.

Deacon is a character actor playing a wide range of roles including the bumbling fool to the hard-hitting con. Contrary to his looks, he is quite a comedian and can keep a crowd in stitches. Robert is two times divorced, with four children. He doesn't plan on remarrying, he says he's had enough of that, but his true love is acting anyway. Nothing diverts him from his career.
