Karlene Crockett

After appearing on stage and studying acting, Crockett became
recognized for her five years spent on the popular nighttime soap
opera, Dallas (1978) playing "Muriel
Gillis", (1979-1983). In 1981, she appeared in a television film,
Meurtre d'une créature de rêve (1981),
co-starring with Jamie Lee Curtis and
the motion picture,
Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen (1981).
Her portrayal of "Lisl Gilbert" on
A Matter of Time (1981),
also in 1981, won her an Emmy. She appeared in three more theatrical
films, Return (1985) in 1985, and
independent director Avery Crounse's films
Les Yeux de feu (1983) and 1993's
Cries of Silence (1996). Since
then, Karlene Crockett has given up acting in film but continues to
work on stage.
