Rob Cowan
ROB COWAN is a 40-year veteran Producer; who has worked on over 45 productions filming all over the world from Iceland to Jamaica to Luxembourg and Australia. After graduating from UBC film school, Cowan began his career in Canada in the early 1980s, working as an assistant director on such successful films as "Three Men and a Baby; "Stakeout," and "Cocktail," starring Tom Cruise. After working on the film "Betrayed," starring Debra Winger, and "Music Box," starring Jessica Lange, both produced by Irwin Winkler - Cowan came onto Winkler's directorial debut, "Guilty by Suspicion," starring Robert De Niro. After finishing the film, Cowan was asked to serve as Winkler Films head of development. Through a collaboration that lasted over 18 years, Cowan produced with Winkler "Night and the City," starring De Niro, "The Net," starring Sandra Bullock, "The Juror," starring Demi Moore; "At First Sight," starring Val Kilmer; the critically acclaimed "Life as a House," starring Kevin Kline; "Enough," starring Jennifer Lopez; and the Cole Porter biopic "De-Lovely," which was selected as the closing night film for the 2004 Cannes film festival. Striking out on his own in 2006 - Cowan produced an array of films including "Righteous Kill," starring De Niro and Al Pacino, "So Undercover," starring Miley Cyrus; James Wan's worldwide hit "The Conjuring,"; "Tammy," "The Boss" and "Superintelligence" all starring Melissa McCarthy and the blockbuster "San Andreas" starring Dwayne Johnson. His relationship with filmmaker James Wan saw him later producing "The Conjuring 2" the billion dollar box office hit - "Aquaman" and it's sequel "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."
