    In 1961, Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher co-wrote a cartoon series called "Calvin and the Colonel" which featured animals playing all the characters. This was an attempt to revive "Amos 'n' Andy" in the guise of animals. "Amos 'n' Andy" creators Freeman F. Gosden and Charles J. Correll provided the voices.
