Chicago Pd's newest cast member is secretly a One Chicago veteran
Image
Chicago Pd has struck gold with Kiana Cook, the latest addition to the cast. It was always going to be tricky to replace Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), and while Upton will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of fans, Cook has proved that there are equally engaging alternatives.

The character has quickly proven herself to be a shot in the arm for Iu. Her interactions with the rest of the ensemble cast has been entertaining, and her skills in the field have made her invaluable in the more action-packed scenes. Here's the thing, though. Cook may be new to One Chicago, but actress who plays her, Toya Turner, is not.

Turner is actually on the short list of actors who have appeared on all three One Chicago shows. The actress made her franchise debut back in...

Chicago Med's Newcomers Are Welcome Additions
Image
Chicago Med has had the highest rate of turnover among the One Chicago shows, with over 40 doctors and nurses leaving the hospital in its eight seasons. The arrival of Dr. Mitch Ripley, a former patient of Dr. Charles, will bring new challenges and storylines for the character. Dr. Zola Ahmad exhibits some of the same tendencies as Will Halstead, practicing vigilante medicine, and will face repercussions as she grapples with medical ethics.

Chicago Med began airing in 2015 and is the third installment of the One Chicago franchise by Wolf Entertainment. Run by Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson), Gaffney Chicago Medical Center is one of the major hospitals in Chicago and is where police and firefighters from Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire, respectively, take many of their patients. Chicago Med follows the group of doctors who serve the emergency department at the hospital as they deal with patients and personal...

Maga Lawyer Lin Wood Is Cooperating With Georgia in Case Against Trump
Image
Former Maga attorney Lin Wood is a witness for the state in Georgia’s election interference Rico case against the former president and 18 others. Wood, who retired from practicing law earlier this year to avoid disbarment, worked as a member of Trump’s legal team in the aftermath of the 2020 election and heavily promoted claims that the election had been rigged against the former president.

According to a Wednesday filing to the Fulton County Superior Court, which seeks a resolution to potential conflicts of interest between attorneys for Trump and several of his co-defendants,...

Who Plays Jeff Clarke In Chicago Med (& Where You Know Him From)
Image
Jeff Clarke is a recurring character on Chicago Med as well as its sister show, Chicago Fire, and the actor has had recognizable roles in another popular TV series and a critically acclaimed movie. Chicago Med is the spin-off series of Chicago Fire and follows the emergency department of the fictional Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. The series focuses on the doctors and nurses of the department who work to save their patients’ lives from various crimes, accidents, and tragedies that occur around the city. It’s the third show in the Dick Wolf-produced Chicago series after Chicago P.D. and the aforementioned Chicago Fire.

Chicago Med is a fairly standard procedural drama in the universe of Wolf’s TV shows. However, the show still has a strong following and finished its eighth season in 2023 after premiering in November 2015. Chicago Med has a large ensemble cast of characters who either work...

Chicago Med Gives An Opportunity For This Chicago Fire Star To Return
Image
The One Chicago franchise has always prided itself on its tight-knit casts, so having this Chicago Fire character be reintroduced on Chicago Med would make total sense. Paramedic Emily Foster was introduced on season 7 of Chicago Fire as Sylvie Brett’s new partner and the replacement for Gabriela Dawson. Emily had big shoes to fill but quickly proved herself to be the perfect fit for House 51.

Emily’s straightforward and persistent attitude won House 51 over in her short time there, getting especially close to Sylvie and Stella Kidd. Though it was a shame to see Emily exit Chicago Fire so soon at the end of season 8, the current status of Chicago Med gives her character a potential chance to return. The One Chicago franchise has already done this with firefighter-turned-doctor Jeff Clarke, and it would not be shocking to viewers if it happened again considering Emily’s background.

5 Chicago Fire Relationships That Ended In Heartbreak
Image
Chicago Fire has 11 seasons worth of dramatic and exciting relationships, but some have only brought pain to the characters and the fans who were rooting for them. Viewers love a good romance, especially if it develops over time and it makes sense for two people to be together. However, when watching Chicago Fire, fans know that relationships often come and go in the show, and sometimes, they end in tragic heartbreak.

The NBC series revolves around the firefighters and paramedics of Firehouse 51, and given that they risk their lives every day on the job, deaths are bound to happen. Or sometimes, characters unexpectedly leave the show, and their significant others are left to deal with their heartbreak. Chicago Fire season 11 might add another couple to this list if Taylor Kinney, who plays Kelly Severide, never returns, but that's a problem for another day. Here are five previous Chicago Fire relationships that have ended in disaster.

Dell to slash about 6,650 jobs in latest tech job cuts
Image
San Francisco, Feb 6 (Ians) Dell Technologies on Monday said that it will lay off about 6,650 workers globally, becoming the latest technology company to do so, the media reported.

The cuts will include 5 per cent of the company’s global workforce, reports Bloomberg, citing sources.

“The company is experiencing market conditions that continue to erode with an uncertain future,” Co-Chief Operating Officer Jeff Clarke, was quoted as saying.

Clarke told employees that previous cost-cutting measures, such as a halt in hiring and travel restrictions, are no longer sufficient.

In addition, the company’s spokesperson said that the department reorganisations, along with the job reductions, are viewed as an opportunity to drive efficiency, according to the report.

Moreover, Dell and other hardware manufacturers have seen a drop in demand following a pandemic-era PC boom.

In 2022, the Indian traditional PC market declined by 11.7 per cent year-over-year (year-over-year) with a shipment of 3.9 million units...

Telefilm Canada Supports New Feature Films
Telefilm Canada has confirmed its financial support of nearly $13 million of Canadian tax payers' money towards the production of nine English-language feature films through the 'Canada Feature Film Fund', although there doesn't seem to be anything culturally 'Canadian' about most of their selections, other than the crews that will be working on them.

Among the films receiving money include a psycho horror with a demonic 'Santa Claus', a bio pic about a former Queen of Sweden, the 'relationship' between 'James Dean' and a photographer, a thriller involving a Satanic child abuse sex ring, and an inflatable Sex Doll drug smuggling story:

The films are "After the Ball" (Sean Garrity), "A Christmas Horror Story" (Steven Hoban, Grant Harvey, Brett Sullivan), "Aloft" (Claudia Llosa), "A Worthy Companion" (Jason Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez), "Life" (Anton Corbijn), "Regression" (Alejandro Amenabar), "Rest Home" (Michael Rowe), "The Girl King" (Mika Kaurismäki) and "Zoom" (Pedro Morelli...

Before I start with the review, let's take a moment to revisit where we left off after the Season 4 finale way back in October 2010.

Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce is in a bit of a rut when Season 4 finale starts, after Don Draper's (Jon Hamm) New York Times editorial about cutting his ties with the tobacco industry after losing their biggest client, Lucky Strike cigarettes.
