Horror fans are in for a treat this year. After Ryan Coogler’s Sinners doubled down on the vampire genre earlier this year and while we still wait for Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, French filmmaker Luc Bessonis bringing romantic take in Dracula: A Love Tale. The gothic-horror stars Caleb Landry Jones in the titular role and we finally have the first trailer of the upcoming movie.
The trailer recounts a 400-year-old tale, where Dracula loses his life as well as his faith in god, and turns into the creature we know him to be. Centuries later, things take a turn when he finds a woman who looks and feels like his beloved. The movie is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, but gives us the romantic angel that no adaptation has. The vintage setting, dark tone, and compelling performances make the feature worth waiting for.

The Before trilogy consists of three films that rely on dialogue and chemistry between the main characters, Jesse and Céline. The trilogy was directed by Richard Linklater and written by Linklater, Kim Krizan, Julie Delpy, and Ethan Hawke. The films follow Jesse and Céline's love story, with each movie taking place nine years apart. The order to watch them is Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight.
The Before trilogy spans many years in both the real world and the fictional setting of the film franchise. The series begins with two characters — Jesse and Céline — meeting during a chance encounter on a train and falling in love over the course of one night. The other two movies continue their complicated love story, but despite their intricate history, all three features are considered minimalist in regard to their storytelling techniques. The narrative primarily relies on the dialogue and chemistry between the two main characters,...

"Come to me." Doppelgänger Releasing has debuted a new official Us trailer for the German horror thriller Hagazussa, set in the 15th century in Europe in a remote village in the Alps. Made by Austrian filmmaker Lukas Feigelfeld, this premiered at a number of major horror festivals in late 2017, but is just now making its way to American cinemas. Hagazussa is about an orphan woman named Albrun, played by Aleksandra Cwen, who begins to assert her otherworldly birthright as a marked woman. The plague she conjures makes human cruelty look pathetic and small by comparison. Described as "Germany's answer to The Witch that has stunning atmosphere mixed with brooding terror... Fans of slow-burn horror are going to want to settle in next to a crackling fire and let the story wash over them." The cast includes Claudia Martini, Tanja Petrovskij, Haymon Maria Buttinger, and Celina Peter. Check out this snowy,...
