However, behind the scenes, West was battling severe mental health issues that eventually led to a heartbreaking spiral into homelessness. Despite a public attempt by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to intervene and help him rebuild his life, West’s struggles persisted, highlighting the often-overlooked challenges athletes can face after the spotlight fades.

This year, things were extraordinary. Donald Trump became the first sitting President to attend the Super Bowl. Other than Potus himself, several A-listers were in attendance.

The star-studded VIP boxes on one of the biggest weekends of the year are not surprising. Stars like Paul McCartney, Gordon Ramsay, Taylor Swift, Ciara, Louis Tomlinson, etc. were in attendance to witness the final match between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.
However, it is important to note that there were certainly familiar, rather easily recognizable faces that fans missed last Sunday. Here is a...

Shaquille O’Neal thought he had left the Superman drama in the past. But, after Dwight Howard stole the nickname during the 2008 Dunk Contest, O’Neal recently faced a similar situation in Hollywood. During the 2025 NBA All-Star presentation, James Gunn introduced him to the new Man of Steel, David Corenswet. Well, while fans are impressed with the actor, Shaq just shook his head.

You see, back in the day, Shaquille O’Neal had a small problem when Dwight Howard started calling himself “Superman” after his legendary cape-wearing dunk in 2008. Shaq, being a lifelong Superman fan, was not amused. Fast forward to 2025, and Hollywood decided to test O’Neal’s patience again. Jaylen Brown, one of the mainstays of the Boston Celtics, discovered an enchanting way to fly into the NBA (National Basketball Association) Finals: binge-watching the Harry Potter film series during a 10-day break. That being said, have you ever thought that the magic of the big screen could cast a charm on his pre-game prep?
Well, while fellow players might have spent idle days with family & friends, Brown, self-professedly single, dedicated over 19 hours to the wizarding world, perhaps finding parallels between the on-screen heroics & his own athletic conquests.

More surprisingly, Brown is more enamored with Dumbledore and diligent Hermione than he is with Harry Potter. Sorry, Daniel Radcliffe, but the aforementioned two characters are rising to the top of his list of favorites.

Finally released outside Japan for the very first time, these unique riffs on H.G. Wells’ classic character (though undoubtedly also indebted to Universal’s iconic film series) are two of the earliest examples of tokusatsu (special effects) cinema from the legendary Daiei Studios.
In The Invisible Man Appears, written and directed by Nobuo Adachi in 1949, a scientist successfully creates an invisibility serum, only to be kidnapped by a gang of thugs who wish to use the formula to rob a priceless jewel. In addition to being the earliest surviving Japanese science fiction film ever made, the film’s entertaining special effects were an early credit for the legendary Eiji Tsuburaya, five years before he first brought Godzilla to life.
Eight years later, Mitsuo Murayama’s exciting The Invisible Man Vs. The Human Fly tells the story of a series of mysterious murders where the only clue is strange buzzing...

We don’t write about sports that often but some pop culturestories are just too good to pass up. Such is the case with the latest episodein the LeBron James-fan feud that’s still raging in Cleveland.
To recap for all the non-sports enthusiasts in the crowd,James played basketball for the Cleveland Caveliers since 2003. He madepromises to the fans the he would stay with the team until they took home theNBA championship. Then earlier this year LeBron suddenly up and left Clevelandto join the Miami Heat. And just in case you thought you missed it—no, the Cavsnever did take home that elusive title.
Now whether or not LeBron made the right decision moving toMiami, really isn’t of concern to us. But what we do find fascinating is thefact that he decided to whine about the whole mess in a recent Nike campaign.In...

Photo by Keith Allison. It’s T-minus eight hours or so until Twitter M.V.P. LeBron James’s Espn special, during which the (former?) Cleveland Cavaliers star will announce his new (or continuing!) team affiliation. It is with his imminent contract signing in mind that the National Inflation Association is urging him to take a three year contract instead of a five year contract, lest his riches fall victim to hyperinflation. The N.I.A. explains: It was just announced on Wednesday that the NBA salary cap for the upcoming season will be $58.044 million. Based on this cap, the maximum salary for the first year of Lebron James' contract can be $17.4 million. Assuming that Lebron James signs with a new NBA team, the final year of a maximum five-year contract has the potential to be worth $23.67 million. However, if the U.S. experiences an average price inflation rate...

Watch "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and husband Tony Parker in this shot-for-shot remake of "Summer Nights" from "Grease."
Um... we aren't really sure why "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria and her husband Tony Parker, a point guard for the San Antonio Spurs, decided to film their own version of "Summer Nights." But it sure is funny. We particularly like the part where the Spurs mascot falls down the bleachers.
On his official website, Tony Parker filmed a video wishing his fans a Merry Christmas and challenging them to create their own lip-sync videos (with costumes and everything). The best video, as chosen by Tony and Eva, will win a trip to San Antonio (presumably to a Spurs game). The contest ends Jan 31, 2010 and submissions can be entered on Facebook. (We think. It's not entirely clear.)
Parker also challenges Steve Nash (right), point guard for Spurs' rival team the Phoenix Suns,...
