Norman Reedus, star of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, has addressed the possibility of a reunion between Daryl and one of the franchise's most beloved characters: Rick Grimes. Why AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Is Ending After Four Seasons – Was It Canceled?
Image
It's the end of one journey and, perhaps, the start of another. AMC has confirmed that "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" is coming to an end. The show, which features Norman Reedus as the titular Daryl Dixon, has been renewed for a fourth and final season, per Deadline. But "final" is the key word there, as it will bring "The Walking Dead" spin-off to a close.

The news comes ahead of the release of season 3, which premieres this fall. A new trailer for the upcoming season dropped during Sdcc 2025, which you can check out below. "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" picked up with the character in France following the conclusion of the main series, which went off the air in 2022 after 11 seasons and 177 episodes. The Daryl Dixon-Focused The Walking Dead Prequel Fans Forgot Existed
Image
The "Walking Dead" franchise has become one of the biggest in American pop culture since the AMC series premiered back in 2010. Those 15 years have brought numerous spin-off series, tie-ins, and video games, in addition to Robert Kirkman's original comics. Of the bunch, the "Walking Dead" games have achieved some of the highest critical acclaim -- specifically, the narrative-driven adventure games from Telltale, which broke ground in the genre with a high degree of player choice in how the stories played out.

Those games are well-known at this point, but they also don't tie directly back to the TV show. Rather, they're attached to the separate comic continuity. However, there are some other, lesser-known "Walking Dead" video games that are set in the world of the AMC series. One of those, 2013's "The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct," acts as a prequel for Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and his brother Merle (Michael Rooker).

At the time,...

AMC Seals the Fate of The Walking Dead's Daryl Dixon Spinoff Ahead of Season 3 Premiere
Image
It's been a decade and a half since The Walking Dead premiered in 2010, and almost three years since the original show concluded in 2022. However, the universe keeps thriving with several spinoffs.

The AMC hit zombie series has spawned multiple spinoffs, but now only two of them remain: The Walking Dead: Dead City, which follows Maggie and Negan's adventures in New York, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which continues the fan-favorite character's adventures in Europe. The two series have received mixed reviews, but have continued to be widely popular. Ahead of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3's premiere on Sept. 7, AMC has just confirmed at San Diego Comic Con at Hall H that Carol and Daryl's adventures will officially continue with the fourth and final season.

The new season will premiere shortly, and the cast and executive producers will do their best not to keep fans waiting.

Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon's Future After Early Season 4 Renewal Gets Encouraging Update From Greg Nicotero
Image
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is one of the franchise's most popular recent projects, and Greg Nicotero just provided some positive news regarding its chances of being renewed. Having premiered in September 2023, the show has returned to our screens every year, with season 3 currently scheduled to be released on September 7, 2025.

With Daryl Dixon arguably being The Walking Dead's best spinoff yet, the future was already looking positive for the European-based series, and Nicotero's comments only make it look healthier. While at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Screen Rant spoke to the franchise veteran, who was optimistic about the project's longevity.

Although he revealed there wasn't an exact plan, Nicotero mentioned that the protagonists' dynamic leads to so much story potential, meaning Daryl Dixon could go on for a long time, and with Daryl and Carol's long-awaited reunion happening in season 2, there is seemingly no end in sight for their relationship. Jeffrey Dean Morgan shares his biggest issue with Negan's Walking Dead journey
Image
Jeffrey Dean Morgan joined The Walking Dead as Negan in season 6. Negan's introduction was one of the most infamous moments in television history as he brutally beat down beloved survivors Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) with his barbed-wire baseball bat Lucille.

Negan's bombshell debut continues to be relevant to the series, especially with him starring in a spinoff series called Dead City alongside Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Over the years, The Walking Dead Universe has made moves to humanize him more; look no further than his origin story episode "Here's Negan" in season 10 of the original show, which chronicles his early days in the zombie apocalypse as he tries to find treatment for his wife Lucille, who was battling cancer.

But there's also another major side to Negan's arc that's always been on the sidelines: his marriage to Annie (Medina Senghore) and their son Joshua. Both Annie and Joshua...
