When you think of Gilmore Girls, a few things come to mind: coffee, Lorelai and Rory, maybe Yale or Chilton, and Friday Night Dinners. The concept of Friday Night Dinners was introduced as part of the deal that Lorelai (Lauren Graham) made with her parents, Richard (Ed Herrmann) and Emily (Kelly Bishop), for them to help pay for Rory's (Alexis Bledel) private school tuition. Emily tells Lorelai in the pilot that, in addition to having a financial role in their lives, she wanted an active role. And thus, Friday Night Dinners were born. Throughout seven seasons, almost every episode featured one of these dinner scenes.

Lauren Graham has revealed which Gilmore Girls storyline she wasn’t the biggest fan of during her time on the dramedy.
The actress who played the beloved Lorelai Gilmore on the hit show, which ran for seven seasons from 2000-07, was the latest guest on the Call Her Daddy podcast. At one point, host Alex Cooper asked which storyline from the series “was a little hard for you to get behind.”
“There’s a year when Alexis [Bledel] and I — Rory and Lorelai — are in a fight for a long time and we would talk about it, and Amy [Sherman-Palladino, creator] was like, ‘You know you can’t do a show for this long and not have conflict,'” Graham recalled. “I forget even what the conflict was but it went on for a while, and that’s the one that I would hear from people that they didn’t like.”

Gilmore Girls is widely known for its cozy autumnal esthetics coupled with its heartwarming story centered on women's narratives. The show follows the titular Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel) Gilmore as they navigate life and love across generational lines that are often more blurred than meets the eye. While the heart of Gilmore Girls is certainly its central mother-daughter relationship, the show's male love interests remain a hotly debated topic of conversation.
From the jealous Dean Forrester (Jared Padalecki) to the patient Luke Danes (Scott Patterson), Gilmore Girls has a true knack for exploring the intricacies of romantic relationships. None of the men of Gilmore Girls are perfect, and their failures make their breakups and makeups with the Gilmore women all the more realistic and true to life. The show picks up when Rory is a high school student and Lorelai, in her 30s, manages a local inn.

About half of all Gilmore Girls episodes take place in the fall season and the best Gilmore Girls fall episodes are some of the most memorable of the series. The series would traditionally air new seasons starting in September of each year, with many stories told throughout October and November. As a result, even the most dramatic of episodes had a cozy, fall quality to them thanks to the scenery. Fans love this about the show, especially those who uphold fall as the most precious season of the year.
Stars Hollow is the only place to be for a television ideal of autumn. Gilmore Girls' fall episodes scream coziness in the lighthearted drama, and fall foliage makes any cup of coffee feel just a bit warmer. Gilmore Girls is widely regarded as a great option for a seasonal re-watch in the fall and winter months, thanks to some particularly upbeat episodes. The show, which centers on the ever-evolving lives of the titular Gilmore women against the quaint backdrop of small-town Connecticut, is not without its hard-learned lessons. Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) had her daughter Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) when she was a teenager, and much of the show centers around them learning from one another and managing to both break and continue generational patterns.
For seasonal re-watchers, there are certainly some more festive episodes that break up the tension. From Rory's college move-in day at Yale University to an unconventional Thanksgiving, Gilmore Girls remains a classic for its many heartwarming moments that bring the show's characters together. While Gilmore Girls has several plot lines that are now viewed differently under the microscope of contemporary criticism,...

Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life tied up many loose ends from Gilmore Girls nine years later. However, Max Medina (Scott Cohen) is not one of them. Max was Lorelai Gilmore's (Lauren Graham) first fianc, and Rory Gilmore's (Alexis Bledel) former Chilton Academy teacher. Lorelai ends her relationship with Max by abruptly leaving town on their wedding day, and has several other relationships before ultimately ending up with Luke Danes (Scott Patterson).
While several of Lorelai's exes make appearances in A Year In The Life, Max is notably absent. Lorelai's other exes, Christopher Hayden (David Sutcliffe) and Jason "Digger" Stiles (Chris Eigeman) appear in A Year In The Life because both still have ties to Lorelai's life years after their relationships with her. Christopher is Rory's father, and Jason is a friend and business partner of Lorelai's late father, Richard Gilmore (Edward Hermann). Since Max has no connection to Lorelai anymore,...

Alex Lesman (Billy Burke) briefly appeared as one of Lorelai Gilmore's (Lauren Graham) boyfriends in season 3 of Gilmore Girls, but he disappeared shortly thereafter. Lorelai first meets him at a conference, where they bond over their shared love of coffee. However, their relationship is short-lived, as Lorelai finds herself kissing her ex-fianc Max Medina (Scott Cohen). Max was Rory Gilmore's (Alexis Bledel) teacher at Chilton Academy in Gilmore Girls. Alex's departure is never shown or explained in detail, but it appears their relationship never turned serious.
As for Billy Burke, the actor soon appeared in several television shows, including Law & Order and Fringe, before his 2008 role in Twilight cemented his mainstream audience. His brief time on Gilmore Girls was not necessarily used to develop a character, but to signify that Lorelai moved on after abruptly calling off her wedding to Max.

Gilmore Girls would not have been so iconic without the lightning-bolt chemistry between its two lead actresses. Alexis Bledel as beautiful bookworm teen Rory and Lauren Graham as the quick-witted, hot mess of a mom Lorelai made the show wildly popular. It was going to take a flawless match for the show to truly work and, thankfully, casting got it right. However, multiple other now-famous CW actors were considered for these lead roles, making for some of Gilmore Girls' biggest "What ifs?"
Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino knew she had something special in Gilmore Girls with its cozy New England vibes and sugary-sweet small-town antics. Each episode had pages of whip-smart pop-culture references and endless banter between Lorelai and Rory. Lorelai, in particular, would have been a challenging role to cast when she is a very flawed yet endearing character. Lorelai (Lauren Graham) has many dramatic romances on Gilmore Girls, and while her relationship with Max Medina (Scott Cohen) is brief, the love story of Lorelai and Max is meaningful and emotional. Lorelai is a strong single mother raising her daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), in their charming town of Stars Hollow, but she dreams of finding a soulmate. Lorelai has three major love interests throughout her arc, including Max, diner owner Luke Danes (Scott Patterson), and Rory's father, Christopher Hayden (David Sutcliffe). While she goes on dates with other people, these are the romances that she truly commits to and that change her as a person.
Just like Lorelai's relationship with Christopher brings her to Luke, her time with Max, although short-lived, teaches her important lessons about finding happiness, standing up for herself, and listening to her gut instincts. She thinks more carefully and thoughtfully about the future and when...

Palmer, the 2021 teen drama starring Timberlake, Juno Temple, Alisha Wainwright, and Ryder Allen, is currently the number six most popular movie on Apple TV+. Fisher Stevens, who you may know from playing Hugo Baker on the hit HBO series Succession, directed Palmer, with a script from Cheryl Guerriero. Palmer is Guerriero's only writing credit since 2013 since writing Hunting Season, the drama/thriller starring Lauren Lee Smith and David Sutcliffe. "French Twist" is the lowest-rated Gilmore Girls episode due to Lorelei's rushed marriage to Christopher. Fans disliked Lorelei's sudden wedding after the breakup with Luke, and her lack of chemistry with Christopher. Rory's attitude and France's portrayal in the episode were also criticized by viewers.

Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham had a great working relationship on Gilmore Girls despite rumors of a feud. The chemistry between them was natural and contributed to the popularity of their characters. Despite their on-screen romance, Patterson and Graham never dated in real life. While rumors of a feud have been debunked, the absence of Lauren Graham from Scott Patterson's podcast has sparked speculation. While Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) is known for her quick wit and sense of humor, she has serious career ambitions on Gilmore Girls and works several different jobs on the series. She fits into a cast of characters who love what they do, from Richard's (Edward Herrmann) high-level insurance position to Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) running his own diner. Although her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) is often shown to be more studious, with her Ivy League dreams and love of reading, Lorelai has certain goals that she wants to achieve. She rises through the ranks of her industry and starts her own business, which shows her desire to take control.
While Lorelai's Gilmore Girls relationships are the highlight of her arc, she also cares deeply about her career growth. The positions that she holds allow for a deeper look at her spirited and determined personality and the life that she wants to build for herself.

Five years before becoming famous for playing Don Draper on Mad Men, Jon Hamm appeared in one episode of Gilmore Girls. While the actor played Burt Ridley on the hospital drama Providence, which aired from 2000 to 2001, he became recognizable when he took on the part of his troubled advertising exec in 2007. Since then, Hamm has turned to film, effortlessly moving between comedy and drama. His roles range from Annie Walker's (Kristen Wiig) cold-hearted partner Ted in Bridesmaids to Beau Simpson in Top Gun: Maverick and Buddy in Baby Driver.
While Hamm has had a successful movie career, he has played several memorable TV characters in a range of genres, from Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to Matt Trent in the bleak Black Mirror episode "White Christmas." Jon Hamm's Gilmore Girls role made an impression, and he is one of the most renowned actors to appear in the long-running series.

While the 2000s drama Gilmore Girls is a heartwarming mother/daughter story, several characters are arrested throughout the series, which sheds light on the problems they are working through. The show follows the close relationship between Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) as they live in Stars Hollow and drink lots of coffee. While Gilmore Girls is a comforting and nostalgic watch that involves more laughter and romance than crime, the show's heightened storylines sometimes mean characters can find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The show has many memorable and humorous storylines, often a result of the Gilmore Girls characters making bad decisions. In season 1, Lorelai wears an inappropriate outfit of jean shorts and a t-shirt to Rory's first day at her private school Chilton. Then, Rory's tardiness for an English exam results becomes a disaster, as she yells at her teacher and classmates.

Warning: Spoiler alert! The story below contains spoilers from all four episodes of Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.
Gilmore Girls fans, your burning questions are about to be answered.
Netflix’s four-part revival series, A Year in the Life, ended in an unexpected, circle-of-life kind of way when a 32-year-old Rory (Alexis Bledel) revealed to her newly-wed mother, Lorelai (Lauren Graham), that she was pregnant. Following Rory’s life-changing revelation, questions abounded: Who is the father of her unborn child? Is it Logan (Matt Czuchry)? Is it Paul (Jack Carpenter), Rory’s underwhelming boyfriend?
Gilmore Girls executive producers Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino answered the revival’s biggest questions -- including the possibility of new episodes.

Come hell, high water or Freeform, Vanessa Marano was returning to Stars Hollow.
According to the actress, she was knee-deep into production on Switched at Birth when she was invited to reprise her polarizing role as Luke’s daughter April in Netflix’s Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. David Sutcliffe is well aware that Gilmore Girls junkies have decidedly mixed feelings about his place in the Stars Hollow canon. In fact, he knows that there’s a certain sect of Gilmore fandom that pretty much despises his character, Christopher, for the role he played in impeding the romance of Lorelai and Luke. And get this: He’s totally cool with it.

After finding international success with his spiritual teachings through best-selling books The Power of Now and A New Earth, author and counselor Eckhart Tolle set his sights on children in 2008 with Milton’s Secret and its blatantly synergistic subtitle to those previous works “An Adventure of Discovery through Then, When, and the Power of Now.” Written in collaboration with Robert S. Friedman and illustrator Frank Riccio, this tale focuses upon the titular eleven-year old (soon-to-be twelve) boy as an example of the internal transformative power we all possess to stop letting the past and future dictate our actions. With help from his grandfather Howard, Milton discovers how to live in the now as the proactive person he wants to be rather than the reactive one he had become.

Adapting the spiritual philosophy of Eckhart Tolle is no easy task, but that’s exactly what writer-director Barnet Bain has done with “Milton’s Secret.” Based on Tolle’s 2008 children’s book, the family drama stars William Ainscough as a 12 year-old boy dealing with workaholic parents at home (Mia Kirshner, David Sutcliffe) and bullies at school. When his grandfather (Donald Sutherland) visits, Milton learns rehashing the past and worrying about the future are preventing him from finding true happiness.

There's been a flurry of "Gilmore Girls" activity in recent days, with confirmations that a bunch of original cast members will be back for the revival, including all three of Rory's (Alexis Bledel) former boyfriends. Now, two more memorable men are joining the fold.
First comes word from the Gilmore Guys podcast that Danny Strong will be reprising his role as Doyle, the neurotic editor-in-chief of the Yale Daily News and soulmate of Paris (Liza Weil). Strong has gone on to great success since he left "Gilmore," as the co-creator of "Empire" and the screenwriter of hit films including "The Butler." Weil previously confirmed her involvement in the revival, revealing that she'd star in two of the four 90-minute installments; we'd imagine that Paris and Doyle are probably married with several kids by now, and Strong will most likely appear alongside her in those two episodes.

That Gilmore Girls revival cast is shaping up nicely. The Netflix series just added two of Rory Gilmore's ex-boyfriends. Milo Ventimiglia, who played Jess, tweeted his copy of the script yesterday to confirm that he'll appear at some point, and Jared Padalecki, who played Dean, will also return, several outlets reported this morning. There will also be a new face in the growing crowd: Sutton Foster, who appeared on Bunheads (and so should be familiar to Amy Sherman-Palladino fans), has joined the cast in a still-unknown role. David Sutcliffe will also be returning. He played Rory's father, Christopher. So yeah, basically everyone is coming back except for Melissa McCarthy, who played Sookie and was in almost every episode but yet somehow, she says, wasn't invited back.
