Jane Seymour-Starring ‘Harry Wild’ Renewed For Season 5 At Acorn TV

Acorn TV has renewed its Irish mystery series Harry Wild for a fifth season, star and executive producer Jane Seymour has confirmed.

Seymour, who broke the news Saturday while speaking on a panel at the Atx Television Festival in Austin, will return to star as the titular amateur detective Harry Wild. Production on the new season is set to return to Dublin later this year, and six episodes are planned.

The series’ current Season 4 ranks among the top 10 most watches seasons of all time on AMC Networks’ British and international centered streaming service, Acorn TV says, citing double-digit gains in viewership over Season 3. Season 4 wraps its run Monday, and a special is planned to air in December.

Harry Wild Season Five Given the Green Light

Acorn TV announced at the Atx TV Festival in Austin, Texas, this weekend that its popular mystery series Harry Wild will return for a fifth season. The announcement was made during a conversation with star and executive producer Jane Seymour.

Production for the fifth season of Harry Wild will begin in Dublin, Ireland, later this year. The new season of the Irish series will consist of six episodes.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to continue to bring Harry Wild to life for another season and am excited for her to solve a new batch of layered mysteries deeply rooted in literature with my castmates,” said Seymour.

“It has been so rewarding to work with everyone on this production, and I’m thrilled to embark on another season with my Acorn TV family.”

Today, Acorn TV released the official trailer for the gripping art world crime drama, Art Detectives, starring and executive produced by Stephen Moyer.

Set to premiere with two episodes on Monday, June 9, in the US and Canada and with additional episodes dropping weekly on Mondays, the six-episode series revolves around the Heritage Crime Unit, a police department hired to solve murders connected to the world of art and antiques.

Stephen Moyer is set to star in and executive produce Art Detectives, described as an “aesthetically pleasing crime drama.” Acorn TV greenlit the series, and production is currently underway in Belfast and Northern Ireland.

Nina Singh (The Lazarus Project), Sarah Alexander (Coupling), and Larry Lamb (EastEnders) will co-star.

“I’m very excited to bring the slightly quirky Mick Palmer to life in this wonderfully creative detective series,” said Moyer. “The writing team on Art Detectives have done a great job of cleverly weaving together intriguing storylines, notable pieces of art, and a bit of history thrown in for good measure. Apple TV+ has acquired a second season of the Drops of God series, the multilingual French-Japanese drama from Legendary Entertainment. A Legendary Entertainment production, the series is produced by Les Productions Dynamic in association with 22H22 and Adline Entertainment.
