Demetrius has worked extensively in film and television. His film debut was Friday opposite Ice Cube and Chris Tucker, then into leading roles in 187 with Samuel L. Jackson, Soldier Boyz, and The Yardsale. Soon he was dividing his time with the multi-Emmy Award winning series ER for 11 seasons and Telemundo's top rated sitcom Los Beltran. This made him the only Latino on two number one shows, at the same time, each in a different language. He has been nominated for an ALMA Award for Best Supporting Actor and has a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series - ER. He has taken his extensive experience and segued his career into Producing and Directing. Films include, A Dog & Pony Show, staring Ralph Macchio, Mae Whitman, and Golden Globe & OSCAR Winner Mira Sorvino. His latest film, A Nashville Wish, earned him Broadway World's Best Director Award, stars country legend Lee Greenwood, appeared at Cannes Film Festival, and theatrically released.
