A couple purchase a nice big new house in a dying town for a steal at an auction. However, no one told them anything about the houses past. Locals moved away because of the events that took place there, and the new owners and their friends are starting to realise the steal may cost them their lives.
Sounds interesting enough when you describe it like that, but the movie suffers from one god awful rushed ending. It's like half a script was written and given a green-light to shoot it, but either made the mistake of not having written a good ending first; made the mistake of hiring an amateur to finish the 3rd act, or ran out of money and filmed whatever came to mind first on the last day of filming. Had this movie had a decent ending, it could have been a decent flick.
It obviously had a budget, and the filmmaking is fine, nothing wrong with that, nor the editing or actors. It's the amount of unanswered setups that lead to nothing with no pay-off that leaves you wondering why they bothered to go with the direction it took? Especially when the tagline of the movie is "look out for the signs" that are supposed to be warning them... bad answer *buzzer sound*. Nothing really of the sort takes place, its a misleading tagline.
It's not a horror, maybe more suspense/thriller, but not a great one. It could have been a decent supernatural themed movie, but like I said, nothing set-up pays off, and the stupid rushed ending ruins the entire thing.
I'd recommend you skip this film, don't bother with it, and not even check it out if the chance comes along to watch it for free. It's just a disappointing hour and a half of your life you won't get back.

The worst acting i have ever witnessed in my life. These people need to give up and stop this immediately.
This movie isn't bad as some reviews say it is.
I definitely enjoyed it and thought it was well done. The acting and plot is well done and it does exactly as it's intended to do: bring suspense slowly until you finally understand more and more about what's really going on in the area they went to. Give it a watch for sure!

This movie had a good concept. It was a tried-and-true concept, but reliable. That being said, there were two major issues w/ the movie. Th first was the poor pacing. Everything was very boring for the first 3/4ths of the movie. The final quarter of the movie felt rushed to me. Its comparable to fire work shows that slowly lets off a few non-remarkable fireworks and then hurriedly light them all off at the very end. The second issue is the godawful acting. To be fair, the script didn't give the actors & actresses much to work with, but they need to go back to acting class. The cast also didnt appear to have chemistry amongst one another or something, so the final product looked just that much more forced. There are many good movies out there to watch or re-watch. I would skip this one.
Definitely wasn't what I was expecting. The movie turned into more of a gore/slasher style movie, which wasn't what I had expected. Based on the write up I figured the movie would be spooky, more like a psychological thriller. The attempted jump scares were poorly done and scenes that were supposed to be scary were cheesy at best.
The acting wasn't greatest, some characters definitely demonstrated more skill than others. The first 3/4 of the movie was drawn out and the end was definitely rushed leaving little suspense. If you're into C, maybe B rated movies then give it a go, but if you like top notch graphics and acting, then you might want to pass on this one.
