Theaters goers can look forward to having the time of their life when Dirty Dancing: The Musical hits the stage.

A new stage production adaptation of the 1987 movie starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey is being developed by Lionsgate and The Path Entertainment Group, under its live stage arm Showpath. The plans are for a Broadway bound production. Dirty Dancing: The Musical will kick off in 2025 with a major run in North America. From there, there are plans to take the show abroad to Asia, Australia, Latin America and beyond.

The companies are working with the original writer of the movie, Eleanor Bergstein, to develop the new musical. Tony Award nominee, Obie Award winner, and two-time Emmy Award winner Lonny Price, who played Neil Kellerman in the Dirty Dancing film, will direct the re-envisioned production.

Larry Robins, a longtime manager who most recently segued to producing with Netflix’s Sex/Life, died January 23 in Los Angeles of multiple myeloma. He was 75.

His death was announced by wife Catherine Scott.

After moving to Los Angeles from Toronto in 1969, Robins, as president of his One B Management, focused his entertainment career on music management, working with clients including Peter, Paul & Mary, Delaney & Bonnie, Natalie Cole and Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers. Other clients included comedian George Wallace and such actors as Cree Summer and Tamara Taylor, as well as various TV writers, producers and voiceover artists.

Chris Pratt did Jimmy Kimmel a solid on Monday night and guest hosted his late-night show.

Kimmel took some more time off to be with his 8-month-old son, Billy, who underwent a second heart surgery. The 1976 murder of Karen Klaas, the ex-wife of Righteous Brothers‘ singer Bill Medley, has finally been solved according to multiple reports — though the public will have to wait until Monday to find out just who did it.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigators announced Friday that they’ve scheduled a press conference for Jan. 30 where they will finally reveal who killed the Hermosa Beach mother of two, The Daily Breeze reported.

Idina Menzel had the time of her life on Thursday’s “Late Late Show” — so much, in fact, that she was compelled to sing about it. The Broadway star and “Frozen” voice joined host James Corden in a faux spontaneous number straight out of “Dirty Dancing.” The duo nailed “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, adding some choreographed moves to their vocals, which all took place in front of an impressive mini-production. For those wondering — which, let’s be honest, is everyone reading this — Corden and Menzel did stop short of the impressive lift moment.
