Sir Patrick Stewart is a nexus between "Star Trek" and "X-Men." For geeks, his two most famous roles will always be Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Professor Charles Xavier, and the two roles have a lot in common. The characters are both wise and fatherly leaders, even if Professor X is much warmer than the reserved Picard could ever be.
Stewart is not the only actor to appear in both a "Star Trek" and an "X-Men" production, though. But one overlap you may have missed is the late John Colicos, who played an important villain in both "Star Trek" and "X-Men."
On the original "Star Trek," Colicos played the first major Klingon character, Kor, in "An Errand of Mercy." About 30 years later, he voiced Apocalypse in the animated "X-Men" series, being the first actor to ever do so. Apocalypse was recast...

Not all anime love interests are dramatic tsunderes or stoic knights in shining armor. Sometimes a male character's unique sense of humor sets him apart to his love interest and to the audience. These characters are creative individuals with eccentric ways of thinking and conducting themselves.
Sometimes, on paper, a character seems like a terrible love interest, but there's something about them and the way they're written that makes them special. Conventional beauty and charm can be nice in a well-written character, but the more eccentric and goofy characters are truly engaging. Quirky love interests go against the grain, they are flawed, and that's what makes them refreshing and endearing.

Castlevania is a four-season animated Netflix series. The story covers several generations of the Belmont family, and Alucard witnesses centuries of time, along with many other vampires. Castlevania is based in a fictionalized Eastern Europe, which isn't surprising for a western vampire tale, but what truly sets Castlevania apart is its characters.
Castlevania's cast of characters cover the moral spectrum. Heroes like Trevor Belmont are flawed, but incredibly honorable and lovable. Villains like Dracula and Striga have incredibly human moments, and may even deserve redemption and a chance at peace. Each human, vampire, magic-wielder, and clergyman is nuanced and compelling.

Already proving to be an instant hit for Netflix, taking the number-one spot in most countries on its debut, Kaos offers an innovative and chaotic reimagining of Greek mythology. Of course, it does not hurt to have the always-charismatic Jeff Goldblum in the role of Zeus. The series has certainly sparked interest in stories about ancient gods and heroes, leaving many fans wanting more. Thankfully, Netflix has another series on their platform, that also happens to be 100% fresh on Rt, and uses Greek mythology as its inspiration.
Blood of Zeus may be tonally different from Kaos, and in a different medium, animation versus live action, but the series boasts many exceptional elements that should appeal to fans of the recent Netflix hit. We will look a bit more at what Blood of Zeus is, and why you should consider checking it out yourself while riding the high of Greek-inspired fantasy.

Netflix’s Castlevania took a major gamble in its second season by killing off its main villain. But as the third season of the video game-based animated series proves, the death of Dracula is only the beginning of the vampire story expertly crafted by writer Warren Ellis, director Sam Deats, and showrunner Kevin Kolde. In fact, now unshackled from the Lord of Darkness and his monster-filled castle, Castlevania season 3 is able to explore quite a few new and interesting directions that flesh out this world like never before.
From the first episode, Castlevania season 3 feels like a completely new show, one less resembling the horror adventure of the first two seasons and more the political intrigue and war games of a prestige series like Game of Thrones. In essence, the fallen Dark Lord has left behind a power vacuum in Wallachia and the struggle that ensues takes up much of season 3’s 10-episode run.

While not quite as good as the remarkable first season, Castlevania season 2 is still an excellent adaptation of the video game classic.

Castlevania Season 2
In 2017, writer Warren Ellis, director Sam Deats, and producer Adi Shankar accomplished the impossible. Like a lone Belmont entering Dracula's castle armed with nothing but a whip, this team set out on a mission many thought would end in failure: to create a worthy video game adaptation that celebrated the source material while also taking it seriously. But when Castlevania season 1 dropped on Netflix last year, it defied the odds and became the first truly great video game adaptation.
With Castlevania season 2, the show continues its excellent adaptation of the classic platformer series, as Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso), and Alucard (James Callis) prepare to storm Dracula's castle while the Count (Graham McTavish) readies his forces to obliterate the world of man.

As our day wound to a close on the Baton Rouge, Louisiana set of Battle: Los Angeles, we were finally able to speak with some of the cast members, instead of watching them duck imaginary fire from the alien mother ship. The cast were split up into three roundtable sessions, and the first group that came to our table was Michelle Rodriguez, Adetokumboh M'Cormack, Gino Anthony Pesi, Lucas Till, Neil Brown Jr., and Jim Parrack. Here's what they had to say about their characters and the experience of shooting a high-concept action-thriller like this.
Roundtable 1: Michelle Rodriguez, Adetokumboh M'Cormack, Gino Anthony Pesi, Lucas Till, Neil Brown Jr., and Jim Parrack
Can each of you talk a bit about the characters you play?
Lucas Till: I play Corporal Grayston in the movie. I'm an Nco and that's all I can really say. Taylor Handley and I have a little surfing scene in the movie.

Adetokumboh M’Cormack is starring in Columbia’s highly anticipated new film Battle: Los Angeles opposite Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan. The film follows a marine platoon (that includes M’Cormack and Eckhart) that has to go back into Los Angeles after a massive alien attack. Columbia Pictures is releasing the film on March 11, 2011.
M’Cormack is most widely recognized for his role as "Yemi" on Lost and for his part in Ed Zwick’s Blood Diamond. He also had notable roles in 24 (portraying "Zeze Eto'o"), The Unit, Heroes, Without A Trace and Gilmore Girls. Born in the West African nation of Sierra Leone, he grew up in Kenya and lived in Nigeria before attending Suny Purchase in New York. Check out my latest "Versus" with actor Adetokumboh M'Cormack.

When I found out I was going to visit the set of Battle: Los Angeles, I figured I wouldn't be traveling much farther than downtown L.A. or perhaps Santa Monica. I did see a different side of Santa Monica that I had never seen before on this set, for two reasons. One was the area was essentially reduced to rubble and, two, we weren't really in Santa Monica, California: we were in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was among a select group of journalist who were flown out to Baton Rouge, Louisiana (you know, the other La) to get a first-hand look at this new action-adventure from director Jonathan Liebesman, which arrives in theaters nationwide on March 11.
Aaron Eckhart stars as Staff Sergeant Michael Nantz, who must lead a team of young and inexperienced soldiers against an mysterious alien threat. Chances are, you might be thinking the same thing I...
