No, Jake and Logan Paul are not facing off in the ring. They’re starring in a new reality show for Max. Paul Amercan is set to premiere Thursday, March 27 on the streamer, Max announced Thursday. The eight-episode series will air weekly on Max leading up to the season finale on Thursday, May 15.

A cryptic X post earlier this week fanned some speculation the duo might be gearing up for a possible bout, but turns out it’s a promo for their new show. See below.

DinoGator is one of those movies I never thought I’d actually get to see, at least not this side of a bootleg copy. Originally shot in 2016 under the more accurate title CobraGator, it came close to release in 2018, only to disappear into the murky depths of the swamp of lost films. Not even the involvement of the legendary Roger Corman, who served as executive producer, could convince distributors to lure it out, until now. So, was it worth the wait? The new action thriller, The Caretaker is Fady Jeanbart’s feature film directorial debut and is a co-production between Millman Productions, Pyramax Productions, Babe Entertainment, Triple Origin Productions LLC, and Ron Lee Productions.

Millman Productions run by industry veteran Jeff Miller. Jeff is an active producer with over 30 years in the business. The Caretaker is his forty-second feature as a producer. Filming is currently under way in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The film stars Avaryana Rose, Robert Bronzi, Daniel Baldwin, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Paul Logan.

No, that’s not a typo, for their latest mockbuster, The Twisters the folks at The Asylum simply added “The” to the title of the film they’re cashing in on. That’s a pretty ballsy move even for them, and since I haven’t heard of any lawsuits being filed, they seem to have gotten away with it, much like they did simply tacking an “s” onto the end of The Exorcist and releasing The Exorcists a few months ago.

This time out, the film begins as a tornado is about to take out Topeka, Kansas. Nobody but Dr. James Garland knows. He knows because his new predictive algorithm, code-named Tina, told him so. But, the weather is clear and sunny so nobody, least of all his boss Dr.

With Alien: Romulus headed to theaters this weekend, you knew it was only a matter of time before The Asylum unleashed their own “mockbuster” knockoff. The title? Alien: Rubicon.

Logan Paul was interviewing former President Donald Trump for a June 2024 episode of his podcast “Impaulsive.” Trump and Melania Trump’s only child Barron Trump was not seen during the meet-up but many wondered how he felt seeing his dad so pumped up to meet the celeb athlete.

Donald Trump is not often seen with Barron although he and Melania attended his high school graduation in Florida this month. Donald was much more affectionate with Paul than he has been publicly with Barron. Could the only child be jealous of his dad’s warmth toward Paul?

The single biggest recurring question that has arisen over the course of this editorial series is “what constitutes an Amityville film?” It’s the basic impetus to go through all of these films chronologically, regardless of quality or connective tissue to the original film or the books.

It’s also why complaints in the comments that everything past a certain point (ie: either A New Generation or the remake* apparently) no longer qualifies are immaterial and frankly kinda boring. It’s always been more interesting to consider how and why filmmakers are using “Amityville” in their films – for better or worse.

Fulwell 73, the fast-rising U.K. and Los Angeles banner behind The Late Late Show with James Corden and Hulu’s recent series The Kardashians, as well as the current producer of the Grammy Awards, has hired creative duo Rachel Arnold and Jon Green to lead its U.K. formats as creative directors.

The pair who previously co-founded production company Definitely and headed up Rdf Media’s creative team have worked on shows including Love Island, Junior Doctors and Let’s Dance for Comic Relief. They join Fulwell in February, reporting to company CEO Johnny Moore and with a primary focus on continuing the company’s expansion into international territories and creating further opportunities with U.K. broadcasters.

“Rachel and Jon are key appointments as Fulwell 73 enters a new era of expansion,” said Leo Pearlman, Fulwell co-founder and managing partner. “Their creative partnership is an unrivaled powerhouse in the industry.

Christopher B. Stokes, the directors of such films as House Party 4, You Got Served, Somebody Help Me, Somebody Help Me 2, The Stepmother, and The Stepmother 2, is about to send four more movies out into the world over the course of just three months – and it’s all thanks to the Tubi streaming service. Continuing to get into original programming (previous Tubi originals include the Terror Train remake and its sequel), Tubi has teamed up with Footage Films to bring four “Black cinema thrillers” to their service. 2022 marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the independent film production and distribution company The Asylum, the company known for bringing us some of the craziest giant monster and mockbuster movies out there. And they’ve decided to celebrate their anniversary by putting together what is basically the Avengers: Endgame of Asylum movies. A film that sees the human race having to deal with multiple Asylum movie monsters at once – and it even acknowledges that these monsters have been pulled into our reality straight out of Asylum movies! This Civil War thriller has so much truth to say about War, Patriotism and combatant-vs.-civilian terror that we can hardly believe it was released in 1954. It’s based on a true event from 1864, a daring undercover mission that hit the Union far away from the conventional fighting. Van Heflin is the vengeance-seeking advance agent, Anne Bancroft a war widow, Richard Boone a maimed Union veteran and Lee Marvin a loose cannon with a hair trigger. The anti-war message is stronger than anything from the Vietnam years! The 20th-Fox release is not on quality home video, and is in great need of restoration.

Near the start of the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of the musical 1776, a cast made entirely of actors who identify as female, transgender and nonbinary, with multiple representations of race and ethnicity, step into the gold-buckled shoes, literally, of the men who would come to be called the founding fathers. We can only imagine how things might turn out differently, both for the musical and in some alternate real-life universe.

In some ways, not much changes. Members of the Continental Congress still bicker, fight and ever so slowly hash out the details of what will become the Declaration of Independence. Slavery will remain enshrined in both the document and the new nation, and the musical’s rousing Sherman Edwards score is as vibrant and pleasing as ever.

What’s different, of course, are the voices singing those songs and hashing those historical details, and in that, at least,...

In this stage musical adaptation of Cameron Crowe’s 2000 Academy Award-winning film, William Miller is an idealistic 15-year-old aspiring music journalist. When Rolling Stone magazine hires him to go on the road with an up-and-coming band, he is thrust into the rock-and-roll circus, where his love of music, his longing for friendship, and his integrity as a writer collide.

This musical has a book written by Crowe, who also co-wrote the score with Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Tom Kitt.

With just under five months until it's previously-planned release, MGM has yanked its upcoming Valley Girl remake from its release schedule. While the studio didn't comment on the move, nor did it issue a new release date, it likely has to do with the involvement of embattled YouTube star Logan Paul, who has a supporting role. The studio has moved The Hustle, a remake of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starring Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, into the June 29 release date, where it will go up against Lionsgate's Uncle Drew and Sony's Sicario 2: Soldado.

In just a few days, legendary filmmaker Roger Corman will turn 90 years old, but that doesn't mean he has any plans to slow down. Although his directing days have been behind him for years, the filmmaker is still an active producer, and we reported just last month that he started production on Death Race 2050. The story centers on a big city that finds itself unprepared for the attack of a CobraGator, a massive hybrid of a cobra snake and an alligator. Needless to say, carnage ensues, blood is spilled and, most likely, life and limb is lost on an epic scale. Unfortunately, we don't have an official synopsis quite yet, nor do we know if there is a release date in place.

South by Southwest, the multi-faceted film, music and technology festival held annually in Austin, TX will feature such upcoming films as Paul Feig’s Spy, David Gordon Green’s Manglehorn, Alex Gibney’s documentary Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, and Ondi Timoner’s Russell Brand profile Brand: A Second Coming as headliners in this year’s film festival lineup.

SXSW runs from March 13 to 21 in Austin and is now in its 22nd year. Variety has details of the 145 films and 100 world premieres bowing at this year’s festival. Brand, as previously reported, will be the festival’s opening night film.

Other notable titles on the list are the Will Ferrell/Kevin Hart comedy Get Hard, a rough cut of Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck, the directorial debut of 28 Days Later screenwriter Alex Garland, Ex Machina, and a new comedy by Michael Showalter, Hello, My Name is Doris.

Exclusive: La-based 313 Films are heading to Afm to meet with sales agents on feature debut The Horde, currently shooting in La.

The action-horror stars an ensemble of genre icons led by Paul Logan, Costas Mandylor, Bill Moseley, Vernon Wells, Nestor Serrano, Matt Willig, Tiffany Brouwer, Sydney Sweeney and John Omohundro.

Logan will play a former Navy Seal on a woodland getaway with his girlfriend and her students who come under attack from mutant humans.

Jared Cohn directs from Logan’s script. 313 Films’ Doreen Bennett and Beth A Thuna produce with Joel Bennett, Gabriel Campisi, Devin Reeve and Logan, while Sonia Thuna is the executive producer.

The film is scheduled to open in 2015.

Okay, let's get one thing clear. Mega Python vs. Gatoroid is a bad movie. The film contains glaring continuity errors, the acting gets pretty wooden at times, the script is just as lazy as you'd expect and the CGI is pretty bad (though not as bad as Lake Placid 3). In short, it's everything you'd expect from The Asylum, but that's not to say the film isn't a lot of fun. While it doesn't reach the inspired heights of unintentional lunacy in Mega Piranha, director Mary Lambert keeps things moving with very little drag time and refuses to take things too seriously.

Recent releases by The Asylum have left me debating their oddly fascinating approach, praising when they very occasionally get things right and finding myself more than a little annoyed with their gimmicks. So when four Asylum flicks landed on my doorstep for review I approached with caution but also with as much of an open mind as I could manage, as I try to with any new release.

That said the hit to miss ratio with The Asylum swings rather strongly to the miss side so in an effort to rip the plaster off quickly, if this turned out to indeed be necessary, I settled down to watch all four films in a row. A mistake you might think but contained within were some pleasures, but unfortunately a whole lot of messy half-arsed filmmaking too. Like a moth to a flame…

In my review of Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurous (Feb. 23 of this year), I suggested the folks in charge of The Asylum watch some of Roger Corman's older films and take a few notes on how to make a great monster flick. I hope they had pen and paper handy when Sharktopus hit the Syfy Network, as their chief competition just showed them how it's done. A gleeful mix of one part monster, one part bathing suit clad victims, and a lot of "how can we top the last scene" effort shaken into the mix, the film became one of Syfy's biggest successes. All I can say is, I told you so, The Asylum.

The film opens in California, with a young swimmer about to become a white shark snack.

It might sound kind of sad to those with discerning taste in cinema, but I genuinely get excited when The Asylum announces another project. Their latest endeavor, the Gary Jones-directed action extravaganza “Ballistica”, doesn’t skimp on the stars. Not only do you get Martin Cove and Robert Davi for your entertainment dollar, they’ve also thrown in Andrew Divoff at absolutely no extra charge. Now that’s what I call a bargain. Something fishy is going on in the world of cinema.

This weekend's much-touted release of Atmosphere's creature pic Piranha 3D, directed by Alexandre Aja, enters the arena on the heels of Syfy's recent fish-themed horror romp Mega Piranha, directed by Eric Forsberg.

And who's keeping score? Well, given the warm reception that Mega Piranha got at Comic-Con and the fact that it was Syfy's No1 watched movie premiere of 2010, probably a lot of people.

We all know about Piranha 3D, a $25million special effects extravaganza helmed by Alexandre Aja (Mirrors, The Hills Have Eyes), produced by Atmosphere Entertainment (The Spiderwick Chronicles, 300), and starring Kelly Brook, Richard Dreyfus, Elizabeth Shue and Ving Rhames.

The appeal of the film (beach babes, bouncing boobs and a girl-on-girl underwater kissing scene between Brook and porn star Riley Steele) was explained on our Lads Lounge blog.

But we don't know quite as much about Mega Piranha,...

The Asylum originally planned the release of their audacious Mega Piranha as something of a mockbuster designed to coincide with the then planned theatrical release of Piranha 3D. When Piranha 3D got pushed back to this weekend, I joked that maybe this time The Asylum can claim that the theatrical movie is mockbustering them. According to the odd press release that showed up in my box today, they've taken my jest to heart.

Mega Piranha director Eric Forsberg has thrown down the gauntlet of sorts by sending out this press release asking which over-the-top piranha flick will reign supreme in the hearts and minds of movie watchers. Read for yourself.

This week’s much touted release of Atmosphere’s creature pic, Piranha 3D, directed by Alexandre Aja, enters the arena on the heels...

Piranhas are proving a popular choice in films at the moment.

Released on the big screen on August 20 is Piranha 3D in which an underwater tremor frees a prehistoric variety of the flesh-eaters into Lake Victoria, just as residents and tourists gather for fun in the sun during the spring break.

And out on DVD from Metrodome this week is Mega Piranha, in which giant mutant fish escape from the Amazon and chomp their way towards Florida. Pop singer Tiffany is among the cast of the creature feature.

Mega Piranha went down a storm at a limited London screening last month, as viewers played a game to guess the number of deaths and revelled in the cheesy special effects, bad acting and overblown tone.

But reviewers were less than happy and, as you can see in the following compilation of critiques, proved their teeth were more than a match for the film's aquatic horrors.

The guys at Metrodome have been kind enough to give us an exclusive clip from the just-released-on-dvd Mega Piranha. Having already seen the film (review here) I can tell you that this clip is from the opening prologue, and is just a small taste of the killer piranha action within the movie!

Join Special Agent Finch (Paul Logan) and Professor Sarah Monroe (80’s pop star Tiffany) as a mutant strain of giant ferocious piranha escape from the Amazon and eat their way toward Florida… Will the entire population of Florida be saved from complete annihilation?
